What can you really ask for?
It’s the last station for ~40 miles when driving from Portland to Tillamook on the OR coast. I have never been inside to check out the store, but they fill up the tank, they ask to wash your windows, and they’re not usually busy or slow.
I come here pretty much whenever I’m nearby and low on gas.

Having left Tillamook with a quarter tank of gas, we headed over the coast range towards Oregon City. As we climbed into the mountains, my rental car gave an alarm that the car would be running out of gas very very soon. With a white knuckle drive (shifting to neutral to conserve gas on downhills), this station came popping into view at the very last moment along an absolutely deserted stretch of gorgeous wilderness. It was probably the most beautiful gas station I’ve ever seen.
The family that runs the station was very helpful, attended to us immediately, had a well-​stocked shop full of munchies and drinks, and joked with us about our near dilemma. Whew. Thanks, Gales Creek Station. I don’t think we’d have made it the remaining 10 miles to Forest Grove.
