My downstairs air conditioner started freezing up constantly. We called our home warranty company who in turn contacted Virginia Air Heating and Cooling. Their technician, Chris, came out to the house and confirmed our coil was leaking Freon and would need to be replaced. He explained the process of dealing with the warranty company and advised it could be a couple of weeks before all was approved, the needed part came in and we were able to schedule an appointment. He suggested refilling the existing coil with Freon as that at least would keep us cool while we were waiting on the part. Great suggestion since temperatures were averaging in the mid 90’s during this time. Once the part came in Virginia Air Heating and Cooling contacted us to set up the appointment for the install. They actually wanted to schedule next day, but neither my husband nor I could be available. However, we were able to schedule for that very next week and with the Freon that Chris had suggested putting in the leaking coil, we had no issues cooling the house even with the hot temperatures outside. There were several things I really liked about this company that earned them their 5 star rating. 1) They were responsive and very customer service oriented. 2) Chris was friendly, professional and on time each time. 3) I was kept well informed of the process — when I could expect the work to be done. 4) Chris quoted the prices and provided information about what he thought the warranty company would cover and what he thought I would have to pay. 5) The end price was lower than expected. 6) Chris did a great job on install day. 7) In my opinion, prices were reasonable. With a warranty repair, you don’t have a choice as to which contractor is sent to your home. I am 100% satisfied that my home warranty company chose Virginia Air Heating and Cooling. I would highly recommend for HVAC work and will more than likely be contacting them when it comes time to renew my maintenance agreement.
