DONOT!!! I repeat DONOT use this company. Same day service is a lie. And while we waited 3 days for them to come and still didn’t show up, my husband suffered and asthma attack and had to go to the hospital. I called and they said we need to reschedule. No one called us to say they were not coming. The CS rep was rude and hung up on us. I asked to speak to the manager, who you could hear arguing with another customer on the phone, he even stated he was the manager to the other person, she said he cant talk till 6 pm. This company is a joke now I have to wait longer to get someone here and my husband is severly struggling to breathe!!!

UPDATE: After much research, I just had one of the most well respected appliance service companies come to my house to appropriately make my repair — –AGAIN! What was confirmed for me is that Able Appliance are frauds and crooks. Not only did they say they replaced my part with a new one and try to charge me for it in the amount of just under $ 500 at first, they did not properly diagnose the problem. First: They did not know how to take my machine a part nor put it back together; this took 10 hours(5 hours on each end). Second: They said they replaced my pump, but did not put a new pump in, however wanted to charge me for the part anyhow. My machine did not even need a new pump to begin with! Glad they are not performing surgical reparations on human beings! Third: When the ethical owner of the second company I used took a look at the problem, he recognized right away that all that needed to be done was my sump needed to be emptied of the dog hair which was causing the machine not to permit water drainage. NONEW parts needed; just a simple empty of a clog. Under an hour and $ 150. And it included taking the machine a part and putting it back together(from the front and not the back)! Simply a symptom of having a Siberian Husky blowing her winter coat! ;-( Do not use this vendor!

They were responsive, our technician was nice, knowledgable and efficient. He fixed my washer quickly. My issue is that they charged me an hourly rate of $ 450! It was a quick and easy fix that took 10 minutes! He was in and out of here in 30 minutes for $ 225. I feel as though they took advantage. Also, they would not honor their own coupon because it was not a «complete repair», whatever that vague qualifier means! I will not call them again for that reason.

I’m baffled. After sending their technician 30 minutes before our«window» started, they spent the afternoon telling me they were trying to find a technician for the *right* window, and finally ended up calling me 10 minutes ago to say no technicians are available. That’s annoying enough — but the worst part is that they didn’t really seem to care that they inconvenienced my entire afternoon. Plus, my appliance is obviously still broken. Worst customer service ever. Do not recommend.

We had Able come out to fix our freezer problem. While they came out in a timely manner and did great work, we were not pleased with payment. We had 3 checks. 1 for that day and 2 postdated. All 3 were deposited at once. After calling, they apologized and said it was their fault. Said they’d talk to the manager. The next day, they basically said they are unable to do anything. Not sure if it was a true mistake or not.

Called Able Appliace Service the other day when our A/C stopped working and they came out the same day. The problem was fixed in about 30 minutes or so. That’s not the only time we have called them for help though. We have called Able before to have our Fridge and Dryer fixed as well and so far i have never had any problem at all with them. They have never let us down and I would recommend this Company to everyone i know.

Little good news, lots of bad news. We called Able because of a leak coming from our condo washer. Bottom line is that Able did not fix anything and I ended up disputing their trip fee/diagnosis fee! An appointment was set up for between 12 – 2 pm. On the day of the appointment, the tech called and said that he was on his way to the condo(this was at 12pm). I asked him how long before he arrived and he said«15 minutes». When he still had not arrived by 1:45PM, I called him again and he said he decided to take lunch! And that he was still within the 2 hour window of time — never mind that when specifically asked, he said he would be there in 15 minutes. So then he(begrudgingly) said that he would head over right away, but he didn’t actually show up until 2:10PM because he «couldn’t find parking». If he knows anything about the Arlington area that his company services, it should be that parking is difficult and he should allow extra time for that. During the time he was there, he removed the cover and said that some part was needing to be replaced but that he would have to order it and come back. He was in the condo for no more than 10 minutes. Good news — The trip/diagnosis fee is $ 59 and is applied to any repair work done. Bad news — Tech was late and for lame reasons. Tech didn’t ask ANY questions about what happened, didn’t test the system, didn’t inspect the appliance thoroughly. The tech was reluctant to tell me the name of the part he said needed replacing. When pressed for a price for the repair, I got the run around(«I have to ask the office», «I have to check with tech»), but they finally told me it would be $ 380.00! I asked for the cost breakdown and got the run around again. The tech left the washing machine cover off when he left. P. S. I called another company to come in — they diagnosed that there is NO problem, only that the washer load became unbalanced and caused some water to flow out. They also replaced the washer cover and provided the screws that the Able tech took with him! I would strongly recommend you NOTUSE Able Appliance Repair!

I called yesterday and set up an appointment to have my broken microwave fixed today. When they didn’t show, I called to ask whether they were still coming. They then told me that they don’t fix my brand of microwave so won’t be coming out. Would have been nice to know before cancelling Saturday plans.

I called able appliance service last Wednesday and needed help for my refrigerator fast! They gave me a window between 4 – 6 and the technician was at my house by 4:35. He came in and completed the job, very professionally. The service was great and I will definitely use them again. Our water heater was broken, turns out it was the thermostat. The guy from Able Appliance wanted $ 270 to fix our very old water heater.(Not sure exactly how old it is). He told me it would be over $ 1000 to replace a 50 gal. electric water heater. I told him thank you but I’m going to Home Depot. He said I would never find anything for less than $ 1000. HD’s is coming today to replace the water heater AND expansion tank for $ 800. Without the exp tank it would’ve been $ 650.
