Their Valentine’s brunch was one of the most disappointing meals we’ve ever had there. Most of the«hot» food was very cold, they didn’t have their typically great sangria’s, and the donuts that they advertised on Facebook were no where to be found. Even with the buy one get one half off deal, your $ 27 are completely wasted here. Thankfully their made to order omelettes were hot(hard to mess that up) and the soda machine was working.

Café C has a great February special(Sunday brunch is buy one get one half off). My boyfriend and I came here for Valentines day. They had an amazing assortment of foods, including chicken and waffles, crepes, biscuits and gravy, green beans, and sooo much more. They also have an omlette bar, lots of coffee and tea, and mimosas. But my favorite item was their fresh made donut holes. Fried dough never tasted so good. They were very busy, so service was okay. My main complaint is that most of the food was room temperature/cold.

Café C is always a place I have enjoyed going to for a good Sunday brunch. Ton of choices ranging from your usual breakfast items like bacon, biscuits and gravy, and waffles all the way to the more unique items like smoked salmon, black eye peas, ham with chutney and a variety of other fresh salads and side dishes. For an added bonus, you get a choice of one free Sangria or Mimosa with your brunch buffet. What can top that? For a good time with good food, hit this place up! Tip: If you check in on Facebook, you get a free homemade brownie from them!

Presently surprised with this cute brunch spot. Overwhelmed by the options for the fresh buffet. Drink tickets for mimosas, mediocre but free none the less. Friendly staff, and happy customers. Definitely my favorite brunch spot thus far.

Had the Wednesday lunch Buffet here. The food was actually Very Very good– I was very impressed! The buffet came with a drink and was priced reasonably at $ 11. I would have given five stars for the food, but the ambience was shot by the staff. Although we had no one waiting our table, there were at least 5 staff members milling around… And they were LOUD. I’m not some sort of square that yells at people to keep it down– They seemed to be having fun and that’s nice. But they were seriously raising hell and it was hard to enjoy lunch with 5 girls laughing and yelling.

Best lunch spot in Gainesville! Sandwiches, soups, and salads are all so fresh and delicious, can’t go wrong here. Their Wednesday lunch buffet is also a great deal and so yummy! Not as impressed with the Sunday brunch but still a great environment.

I am in a class that is catered by Café C every few weeks. Two weeks ago, the spread involved chicken salad sandwiches and grilled vegetable sandwiches. I’m not sure which sandwich did it, but I became violently ill from the food they provided. I spent the entire weekend with food poisoning after eating their catering. Never again will I be taking my business to Café C.

Kinda spendy, but everything is fresh and different so it’s worth it to me. They made this yellow bell pepper soup once and I bought so much because it was mouth wateringly delicious. Cool funky décor, decent size proportions, and if you check in on FB you get a free dessert. Yum! This is the place to go to get salad or sandwich.

Really fun local place! Great soups. Huge salads. Our lunch was very tasty. We had lobster bisque and mushroom Marsala soups, and a huge salad. Drinks are included with the cost of the meal. The décor may be a little worn, but it is also warm, kitschy, and fun. Like dining at an eccentric relative’s house! The service was good and the counter people were very helpful. We will be back!

I had high hope for brunch. I heard that it was delicious and there were tons of choices but when I got there, I was disappointed by the lack of breakfast items available. I tried the sweet potatoes which had Rosemary in them and were good, the Oxtails which I was disappointed in because they were undercooked and missing the brown sugar glaze they traditionally carry, the greens and ham which were good and a custom omelette. I am pregnant so everything sounds good to me for the most part and I’m also quite a bit of a foodie who enjoys every type of food, especially those that are off the beaten path and eclectic. I believe food should be mildly seasoned so the natural flavor comes out and the use of herbs is essential. This food, literally, had Zero flavor. The only thing I enjoyed was the poppyseed muffin that has lemon inside. I’m highly disappointed and won’t be returning again.

Visited Café C for the first time today, and had a great experience! I had driven by multiple times, and already done my Unilocal research. Despite any negative reviews I thought it was a great place. The atmosphere was inviting. I love eclectic vintage décor, and they executed this in a tasteful way. The cashier/servers were very friendly from the moment we walked in the door. We sat down and looked over the menu before ordering, and they had a nice selection, and prices were decent. My only critique would be that they were out of beer, and the cashier explained she forgot to make an order for it. And for the food, everything was fantastic! I order the trio. which is a half John Doe sandwich, side of the day, and choice of soup(I chose mushroom marsala). I loved the soup, and wished I had more! My husband ordered the Meet Me For Lunch sandwich, which I tried and also loved. If you want a great sandwich and friendly/inviting atmosphere Café C is the place. We will definitely be returning!

Had a GLORIOUS Sunday Brunch here today. Price is just right. Includes sangria/mimosa and an all you can eat buffet with unique breakfast and lunch items. The environment was cozy. The service was superb! Our booth had throw pillows, which was the perfect compliment for our 4 year old’s afternoon nap while we finished food! Would go back in a heartbeat!

Amazing Sunday Brunch! Not only is it all you can eat, you also get a free Sunday-Funday sangria or mimosa! Regular menu is just as yummy. Everything is fresh, made to order and and served with love from the fun and energetic staff. Check out the Lobster Bisque and Blueberry Tea– two of my absolute favs!

Café C is one hip joint! I went for a lunch one day with my Breakthrough family and got a «Meat me my love» salad with bacon, ham, turkey, and prosciutto. As a lover of meats, this salad touched me in that gooey part of your soul that you usually only present to your special friends. The ambience is such that you can make new friends with no strange feelings of formality. Café C is a place where everyone seems like family, only in this case, you actually like them!

Went here for Easter brunch and it was awful. I almost don’t want to recount the experience it was so bad but the drinks were nasty, the food may have been good at first but it most of it has either run out or had been sitting for a long time. The service was mediocre, although the stay was friendly. Would highly advise against eating here.

Café C has a laid back vibe, friendly service, and pretty good food. The Wilber Smith sandwich(pork and apple… clever) is excellent. There aren’t a ton of good options for lunch in this area, but this one is worth a visit.

I’ve only been for Sunday brunch — twice. The buffet(around $ 15) offers a pretty good mix of breakfast and lunch foods. Nice thing about the buffet is it speeds up brunch. Food was better the first time than the second. The buffet price includes a mimosa, but ours didn’t make it to the table until we were ready to leave. The staff are all friendly.

I hit this place a couple times a month, and they are always consistent! I’m a big fan of their soups and salads which are always fresh and BIG!!! I usually have to pack the other half to go! The décor is colorful and charming and the staff cheerful and helpful always!!! Check in on Facebook and get a free decadent brownie(and it’s Huge!) I’ve been stuck on the Body by Boris Salad, because it’s PERFECT!!! And I love mixing the blueberry tea with unsweetened tea it’s amazing! I only get an hour for lunch but they are so efficient… It’s never a problem!

Are you can do is to look at the photos and you’ll see why I find this place has too many ups and downs. It really needs a thorough walk-through and a thorough evaluation of all of the components that make the restaurant sanitary. I don’t care if celebrations catering owns it or not I’m not sure that I would even use celebrations. They really need someone to do a thorough walk-through of the café C. I think I will only return there to use my gift certificates and more five dollar discount but really the food is not worth $ 10 for a meal. I don’t know why I continue to go to Café Siri make comments about it because it really is a sub par sandwich shop. And I really get very upset when I see in sanitary conditions like rocks by the door broken stones and other things that don’t seem to fit with the Decour. I am hoping like the last time the owner will reach out and ask me to respond about my experience I’d be more than happy to and I’d be happy to show them exactly what I’m seeing because they aren’t. If it will be my last visit there! Unless I get another coupon ha ha
