To bad there isn’t a –0 review, because that’s what I would give this dog fesces garbage around the complex, rude and disrespectful RC, and double standards management. If you want a place where you don’t have to clean up after your pet, Residents at Central Park is th place for you. If you want a place where your kids can be obnoxious, and foul mouth and not have any concequence, than Residenta at Central Park is the place to live. If you want to have an office staff that has double standards than buy all means this complex is for you. But, if you want to live someplace where the staff and RC are professional, and the dog fesces is cleaned up and garbage taken care of, than Residents at Central Park isn’t for you. I can not wait until our lease is up so we can move out of this hell hole. Sincerely a very discusted resident.

This is a complaint against Angie Cumberland & Meika Lee: representatives of The Residences At Central Park. My wife and I scheduled an appointment to view a 1 bedroom apt for a mid-to-late July move-in date. When we get there they disclose to us that they have no 1-bedrooms to show us at this time but they can show us a model of a 2-bedroom(bait & switch #1). After seeing the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom, they said that they had a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom with a walk-in closet. As my wife and I need closet space, we agreed to the 2 bedroom/1 bathroom w/the walk-in closet. We put down a $ 50 non-refundable deposit to not only secure that apartment but receive a special rate of $ 600 off our 1st month’s rent or $ 50 off our monthly rent for the first year. The next day, we were approved for the apartment. My wife reaches out to Meika to make arrangements to sign the lease the following day only for her to tell us that the apartment that we put the deposit on was no longer unavailable and that they had a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom that her property manager would be able to give us for the same rate because of their mix-up(bait & switch #2). After sleeping on it, my wife and I decided to give the complex one more chance. So she calls the office to schedule a visit to see the apartment only for the property manager Angie to tell us that in order to receive the special discount, we would have to move in immediately or pay full price if we were to move-in mid-to-late July(bait & switch #3). I refuse to stay in a place where these type of deceptive and possibly unlawful tactics are used. Thank God we didn’t sign the lease. Only the Lord knows what may have happened once they had us contractually bound for a year. So now I am out of the non-refundable $ 50 and my wife and I are still looking for an apartment. Thank you for wasting our time and money.

This is by far the worst place I had ever lived. First off it is not legally zoned as an apartment complex as I was originally led to believe but instead as an extended stay hotel. Secondly these were brand new when I moved in and the foundation of the building was already starting to crack and the ground started sliding away multiple times. Throughout the majority of our lease we were receiving notices to enter from the property owners at least once a week for stupid stuff such as putting signs in the utility room, putting flaps under the doors, etc. Save yourself the trouble and find a better place to live, there are plenty of older apartments in Gahanna that are older but built much safer, cheaper, and run much more professionally than this place. Also the electric and water is sub metered here so expect to pay ridiculous rates, you cannot choose your utility companies because the sub metering companies are owned by Ardent. Also they let some questionable people live here. There was a lot of police activity while I lived here including robbery, breaking and entering, and assault. I had some good neighbors except for one who was trailer trash and threatened my wife because she asked her kid to stop looking down her shirt. I left because I did not feel safe living there and felt that the building was not built properly, didn’t like being extorted on my utilities, and wanted better neighbors.

I only chose one star bc I can’t choose zero. DONOTMOVEHERE! Ridiculous amount of spiders when I first moved in. Utter craziness trying to get a W&D in here, FINALLY received one TWOMONTHSAFTER I MOVEDIN! Actually spoke w the President of Ardent over that! Staff is really nice(except the regional manager who is SUPER rude! Like really, you work at an apmt complex, buddy.) BUTNOTHINGEVERGETSDONE. There was a broken elliptical in the gym before I signed my lease… ITWASSTILLBROKEN, like 6 months later. I signed a lease bc there’s a tanning bed too. NOPE! NEVERGOTTOUSEIT. If you’re thinking about calling maintenance over something– Don’t! They will charge you RIDICULOUS fees for simple fixes! Garbage disposal jammed & I fixed it myself! Thanks, YouTube! I have never been charged at other complexes for maintenance, but they won’t hesitate here. Drafty doors, my electric last month was nearly $ 300 for a ONEBDRMAPMT! Kept my heat between 68 – 70 all winter! Took damn near four months to even get a garage. Was told I was on a list and they would call me when one was available. Funny thing, when I asked each staff member how far down the list I was… No one had an answer for me, No one was aware of this ‘list’. So they just kept renting garages out till I questioned again, and one randomly became available, through pure luck. Unbelievable. My lease was FINALLY up and I moved the hell out of there. Sent me a bill for $ 307 for hanging photos on the walk/nail holes. Not even joking. I’m not giving them another dime, ever. THESEPEOPLEARESCAMARTISTS. THISPLACEIS A JOKEAND A MONEYPIT.
