Penn Station East Coast Subs

Every Time my husband leaves this Penn Station he finds something new to be impressed about. He raves about the service, quality of food, cleanliness, etc. In turn, as a very pregnant lady who craves fresh cut fries with vinegar and loves lemonade, this makes me and the baby very happy! It’s always delicious. We are one happy family after a visit to this Penn Station!

Subs were great and the staff was excellent. I am on the road for business most of the time. I eat out a lot. It has been a long time since I have gotten service this good and certainly not at a sub shop. The entire staff was friendly.

Not my first choice this Monday but convenience got me to finally give this Sub sammich chain a first try. This sits in a large plaza dominated by a Kroger store and from the couple of other chain sub shops nearby is obviously the Gahanna Sammich District. Penn Station sets themselves apart from the others by offering Grilled Subs served up in their namesake East Coast style.
Took a few minutes to overlook the menu here ranging from classic cheesesteaks to chicken cordon bleu to even grilled artichoke and grilled veggie subs. I went for the classic Philly Cheesesteak and a small order of their fresh cut fries and wasn’t disappointed in the least. A split roll covered in meaty cheesy goodness with plenty of grilled shrooms, onions and yellow peppers and some straight from the fryer fries made this one tasty first trip.
The dining area offers booths and a few tables with a couple of TV’s plus free TW Wi-​Fi. I noticed at least one broken booth table and most of the others looked like they were on their way to joining it. The usual self-​serve drink station is offered here and they were nice enough to bring my order out to me, always a bonus in my book.
To sum up, affordable tasty grilled to order subs served up in a timely manner by friendly folks working the counter here and met my expectations as my second choice this day. I’ll be back to give the aforementioned Artichoke sub sometime soon…

Excellent club sandwich and fresh cut fries. Best sandwich I’ve had in a long time.

Hm… Well, the food was good. Typical Penn Station: tender meat, plenty of toppings if you want them, decent bread. Sweetie had a cheesesteak, I had a reuben. Both were good. We shared some fries, which were hefty and crispy.
The location is nice, with easy access, a large dining area, and clean surroundings.
The service was friendly. But slowwwwwww. There were only a few people there, already eating. I placed my order, and waited. One guy came in behind me; he got his food first. And then I waited more. Maybe they had to remake something? I wish they had told me if that were the case, and maybe said «sorry for the wait.» Oh, well. We’ll be back, but not often if the wait is always that long.

I don’t give 5 stars very often, buy this place deserves it hands down. Food was perfect. Employees were unbelievably nice and helpful. They even called me by my name. If this place was closer to me I’d prob eat there like every other day!
