Ah, K-J, you are kind of wonderful. This place is absolutely stunning and gorgeous. If you’re looking for ambiance, views, and an extremely walkable estate(with vineyards and farm land), you’ve come to the right place. The best things to like about Sonoma is that they’re not stingy at all with their wine, and they actually have food. Unlike a certain snobby counterpart, Sonoma is more relaxed and people-friendly, not hardcore wine-centric. I will say that the service here is hit-or-miss, dinging it a star, but everything else is great. There are loads of comfy chairs and tables all around for you to use and enjoy the setting. They even have a Unilocal check-in deal on tastings. But, if you have the time, do the wine and food pairing for $ 40. 7 wines, 7 courses, a pork belly slider and perfectly roasted duck to die for. You’ll leave an extremely happy person. Oh! And, if you can, swing back around for one of two events — the tomato festival, which is hosted by this estate and features a large host of purveyors, and/or K-J’s farm-to-table dinner series. You’ll thank me later.

This was one of the wineries on our list when we were there for vacation and it didn’t disappoint at all. We loved this place… We did the food pairing and the lady that lead it was amazing. She explained everything in detail. We joined the wine club and bought several bottles. Can’t wait to come and do it again.

Kristin and Caitlin are fantastic. My friend is a club member and we always seem to get one of these two gals. It’s always nice talking to them and I feel well looked after. Also, sometimes the club member gets all the attention and the guest is overlooked but u always feel like they pay attention to me and I appreciate that a lot

Kendall-Jackson is one of the most stunning wineries in Sonoma. My husband and I arrived around noon and were immediately greeted by Karen, a very sweet wine expert. She was pregnant, and we had a great time laughing about pregnancy cravings and a shared love for food. We tasted about 5 wines and all were delicious, but the real wow factor here are the lush, meticulously manicured gardens. We loved taking our last pour to wander the lovely grounds, stumbling upon freshly grown veggies and the most beautiful roses I’ve ever seen. Seriously, Sonoma County has roses as big as your faces in colors we don’t even have here in Florida. Overall, loved my experience here. What could be better than vibrant rose gardens, a gorgeous estate and yummy wines? Nothing, the answer is nothing. Unilocal tip: check in for a BOGO tasting.

I have never been to a wine tasting before, let alone a food and wine pairing. So, I was excited when me and a couple girlfriends of mine were able to do just that when we spent a weekend up in Napa. The food and wine pairing was done in a private room setting. High ceiling, open area. It was gorgeous. It was a a 3 course meal, with 2 – 3 different items per course and each was paired with wine. The chef personally brings the food to the table, explaining what’s on it and why it was a good compliment to that specific wine. Ahhhh, everything tasted so good, was at a decent portion and the wine totally brought out the flavors of each dishes. And a good wine education opportunity. The wine was 10% off with the pairing. This was a friend’s birthday and we were given white chocolate truffle with lavender as a treat, while chef Matthew initiated the singing of the birthday song. How awesome was that? He even signed a cork as a souvenir for my friend and took a picture with us. They have cheese and dessert wine pairing as well and we’ll totally go back for that.

What sets KJ apart from most wineries in Sonoma County is their«wow factor,» by this I mean every effort of making each and every customer feel special, including me — the ‘newbie’ to the wine world, is executed and rarely goes unnoticed. To further emphasis their royalty, yet comfortable, treatment I must explain in greater detail. My first experience with KJ was the day after my 21st birthday, in late January — the odd month in the wine industry, however my experience at KJ was not shorted. I had been arranged a food & wine pairing, for which me and a guest were seated inside at the top level in the winery which overlooks the tasting room. Not only was the atmosphere and vibe outstanding, but also the employees were extremely friendly, accommodating, informational, and personal. From entering into the doors of the tasting room, through the tasting experience, and by the end of our visit touring their retail — I was made to feel like a princess of the wine world. The employees treat their customer with empathy, compassion, and a strong will to connect. I appreciate my experience with KJ, as I know every time I go back their consistency will shine through. There is never a dull moment inside of KJ, perhaps making their tasting room experience at the top of my growing list, without any doubt they will move from first place. A special Kudos to «Roberto,» who assisted me on my first visit. Roberto is a one of a kind sales-room associate and has remarkable skills in hospitality. Most importantly, he was true to himself in which made me, as the consumer, feel comfortable in this unfamiliar setting. His heart and character welcomed us, for which did not fade throughout any point in my KJ experience. I especially loved his gesture of wine glasses, as a gift for my 21st birthday, or special reminder of KJ every time I drink wine in my home. Roberto is a strong asset to KJ for which I believe he will prevail in their business and beyond.

There is a two for one Unilocal offer for a tasting– check in to unlock it! Frank, the taster man, is the best! Very talkative, speaks Spanish! The 10 $ tasting was great, we subbed out a Chardonnay for a cab cause we hit our white wine limit. The gardens are beautiful big giant back porch. Great gifts inside and a place to sit during the tasting. Kendal Jackson is one we buy regularly in Denver so we were glad to see the winery.

We love Frank!!! Sisters weekend in wine country — first stop was Kendall Jackson, and Frank is amazing. He was thoughtful, kind, gave us an extra taste or two, and spent extra time chatting with us. Frank even asked if he could give us a hug when we left. We will come back only because of Frank — thanks for making our first stop the best stop.

My family and I visited Kendall Jackson for a food and wine pairing this weekend. They weren’t quite ready for us so we waited at the tasting bar. Brian behind the counter poured us a couple of complimentary pours… Very nice of him, especially after another wine pourer — an older man named Frank completely ignored us. There was no call to be snubbed. We concluded even fine wineries may errantly have one jackass working for them and that clearly describes Frank. Once we were called to our table out back we have nothing but the highest praise for Denise and Drea who served us and explained details of the varietals and the food. Chef Matthew Love was exceptional and professional — very pleasant and detailed with his food and wine descriptions. Kudos to that trio. Summary: 4 stars out of 5. Frank cost you the fifth star.

Drive by visit… we don’t taste, as we are driving without a designated driver. Met Lehshel Kolter who recommended the Hawkeye cabernet sauvignon, which we purchased. Once home, nights later, we tried it. It’s delicious. Very smooth and flavorful. Nice building and grounds; we will return soon. Enjoy!

What an extraordinary experience it was to visit the Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate and Gardens! The grounds and building were very scenic and beautiful. Just wandering the vineyard and vegetable/fruit garden was such a memorable and pleasurable experience with lots of picturesque sights and scenery. I did the seven course food and wine pairing and it was exquisite. Lehshel was so knowledgeable about the wines which included a Rose’, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Riesling, and Muscat. Matthew came out and explained each gourmet food item pairing. The food was so attractive, creative, and delicious. It included roasted red beets, delice de la valle, pickled kohlrabi, and hazelnuts; crispy acorn squash, miso butternut purée, oyster leaf, and trout caviar; prosciutto with house pickled peppers, garden strawberries, and shiso; sweet tea brined Snake River Farms pork belly slider with red wine BBQ sauce; flat iron steak, charred eggplant purée, fingerling potatoes, and piopini mushrooms; butterscotch Panan cotta; and Mama Frischkorn’s caramel corn. Of course, I couldn’t leave without ordering some bottles to ship home. If visiting Santa Rosa, Kendall-Jackson should definitely be on your itinerary.

I love this vineyard. I am an Estates Wine Club Member and every time I have gone, it has been amazing. Just took a few people visiting from Phoenix for the Wine and Food Paring. Completely affordable, awesome service. Chef Matt, Roberto, and Sommelier Ashley are all phenomenal. Not that I am discounting the amazing awesomeness of Steph, Heather, Chef Justin, and the others. All a great group. I recommend this vineyard to everyone. The estate is beautiful, the culinary gardens are amazing and they take really good care of their customers. I feel like a VIP every time and that is what keeps me coming back. Keep up the great work KJ!

First class service no matter if you buy a $ 15 or $ 100 bottle of wine. I’m a huge fan of Kendall Jackson wine. Once I discovered the winery was only, depending on traffic an 60 – 90 minute drive, I just about died. I’ve honestly been there more there more then 10x. Every experience keeps getting better and better. Every food and wine or cheese and wine pairing I’ve experience has super exceeded my last expectation. I signed up as a member in May and could not be happier! So much to experience and look forward to as a member, I could not be more satisfied. Looking forward to my continued fun and informative relationship with all the staff including Reberto(8 out of 10x we’ve got him thank goodness. Great service along with an abundance of knowledge!), Matthew(we always get this Chef, he adds a bit of spunk to the experience), and our server today Ashley(sweet and especially knowledgeable for her length of employment with the company). Thank you all so much for always making each experience so special!

Beautiful grounds & wine! We were lucky enough to have a champagne brunch under their walnut orchard one morning, and it was an absolute delight. We were able to then enjoy a free tasting session in the tasting room. The staff at Kendall-Jackson were so informative about the wines, and laid-back in terms of gauging our preferences and recommending different varieties. While Kendall-Jackson is a very large operation, the tasting room did not feel corporate. I had never actually sampled their wines before, but I left being a fan. Very approachable reds, including a great reserve Merlot and Cabernet. I’d recommend a visit, to take in the ground and sample some great wine!

I’ve not been a fan of KJ wines until yesterday after a well-delivered wine tour on a gorgeous Monday… no crowds YAY! Our guide Denise was fantastic presenting the history, the grapes and the wines at the estates, very educated on so many cool facts. I learned interesting facts including the name Kendall was for the ex-wife lol. The bats story was one oft favorites! My fav would be the cab for the wine. The estate is one of the most well-cared for and beautiful for its gardens and vineyards. I am such a big fan seeing the veggie garden and fruit on the trees. Best of all, is the special section to show off the grapes where guests can walk through, look and added bonus to pick the grapes and sample them; such a very generous gesture. It probably sets them apart from other wineries and only adds to their already popular credentials! I peeked under the vines to find an abundance of grapes. It was the perfect season to hit this tour! Stunning vibrant estate and overall excellent in all accounts! I asked about the wine club to find it is also a bargain even for the signature club membership. Signed up without hesitation. I will definitely be back, perhaps even this weekend for the tomato festival! Highly recommend this estate.

Quality and a long history of fine wines. Kendall-Jackson is a leader in fine wines and has never stopped trying to exceed our expectations. I have been drinking their wines for years and this was my first chance to stop in and do the wine tasting. Great savings here. There is a tasting fee but well worth the price. Many places waive the fee with purchase. Please inquire within. I recommend the wine club. As a wine club member there is special parking. I was greeted at the door by the lovely and charming Savannah DLC. I couldn’t have had a better sales rep. She knows her wine and is fully committed to her work. She made me feel important. How special in these difficult and uncertain times. We discussed several varietals and my personal favs were: GSM, Red Meritage, Merlot, and the Port. Delicious. The property is stunning with fountains and wandering gardens to the vineyards. Nestled on a perimeter road you don’t need to worry about traffic. I ask you visit with any sales rep there. They will make time for you.

Kendall-Jackson does it all well! We came in for a wine and food pairing. What a delightful experience it was. We were greeted by the attendants in the front lobby area. They were very friendly and offered us a taste of their latest pouring. We were soon greeted by Stephanie who wanted to confirm our dietary restrictions. They were so concientious about this part. I appreciate that and felt taken care of. Soon, we were joined by Roberto, our sommelier for the day. He masterfully guided us through each tasting with grace and humor. Thank you Roberto! Stephanie and Brian were sure to check on us throughout our pairings. Thank you both! Matt, one of the great chefs, served us delicious food choices to go along with great wines. He gave us insights on their gardens and how they made their paring choices. We started with a crispy fried green tomato and yellowtail sashimi. The presentation was artful and delicious. See the wine and pairing photo for the specifics on what we had. I’m sure this menu is subject to change. All food samplings were delicious and we wished for more… Sparkling or regular water were offered throughout. Another great chef, Justin, came by to give more details about the food pairings. Everyone was really relaxed and into the patrons. We felt relaxed because of their energy and presentations. This fact alone would bring me back again and again. I appreciate the fact that the chefs went out of their way to accommodate my gluten free, no onion requests. I still felt included for every bite. Thank you for this! The dessert wines were both delicious with the dessert pairings. Inside of cheesecake, mine was and almond flour and grapeseed flour concoction. It tasted pretty good. The company they use is called Whole Vine in Santa Rosa. . Matt was kind enough to share this info. Thanks Matt! We met the new manager, Michelle, and shared our feelings of warmth and relaxation while visiting. Even though the food and pairing area is outside, it was still a beautiful day. It was quite hot. Michelle shared she is also enjoying the team of people she’s working with. This is great to hear. Stephanie checked back in with a little more caramel popcorn to top off the day. We enjoyed the discounts offered to the food and wine pairing enthusiasts. A 2012 Jackson Estate Camelot Highlands Chardonnay made its way home with us :) They even had a 25 cent photo booth with props you could use to take photos. We enjoyed this experience and will return again. Thank you Kendall-Jackson!

Really beautiful location, with lots of room to wander. Definitely check out the vines in the front that are in a pretty labyrinth to walk through. Went here for Water to Wine half marathon, and Kendall-Jackson was extremely welcoming and a great host for the event. Had a great time!
