Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Did the valvoline oil change today. It was such a sultry day and i just wanted to get the oil change done, since my car was pressuring me by beeping so much.
This oil change is right by my house, so it is so close and convenient.
The worker Angie i think, she was kind and courteous. She showed me slides of other services i should do to my car for furhur check up. I did not feel like she pressured me in any way. Oil change took a short time, and i used the Unilocal check in coupon. It came out to be 44.29 $ i think.

Reluctantly had oil changed here, but needed to get it done. After the dog and pony show they put on about oil that is recommended by the State of CA, and all of the «recomended» items that need servicing the oil change was completed.
Later in the day, I noticed oil was leaking all over my driveway! I took it back and had to wait 30 minutes for someone to see what was going on. After another 30 minutes I found out one of the rookies here left a filter wrench on the filter and somehow oil was leaking. I really don’t know what actually happened but I was pissed.
I will say, when I returned one tech remembered me and took ownership of the issue, offered to come to my house and clean the driveway. He also fixed the issue but the damage had already been done. Wish I new his name because he was good. I think he may have been the lead guy.
Be careful not to have everything up charged when you go to any of these type of places because here is a lot of money to be made on wiper blades, coolant replacement, air filters etc.

Not pushy about «recommendations.» Two different coupons here on Unilocal depending on the oil change you get and 10% off any other service if you check in on Unilocal.$ 83 for my oil change and tire rotation, and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Can’t complain about that!

Incredible service here. Typically my husband takes my car, however I have gone the most recent couple of times. They do safety checks and the most recent oil change I discovered I had several tail lights out and had no idea. Thanks for saving me a fix-​it ticket! The day we went was a 20% off day for those on their email list, which my husband is. We had not received the email and they still gave us the discount which we greatly appreciated. We did receive the email about 4 hours later though, lol. I also was looking into an issue with my AC and did not have time when I got my oil changed. Due to the wonderful interaction I had, I came back a week later to get my AC recharged. The gentleman that performed the service was a delight. I really enjoyed chatting with him while the system did its thing. He explained everything very well and even took the opportunity to teach some other employees how to use the machine. Overall a wonderful experience and I plan to come back more often!

Quick and easy. Old school service. It may be a little over the top for some with their step by step explanation of everything but it is refreshing.
They never pressure you into anything and are helpful in recommending local repair shops for other needs.

Robert, Dustin and Derek were so awesome! Made my oil change super fast and easy and didn’t make me feel like a complete idiot for not getting it done earlier. Changed my back tail lights as well. Seriously some of the most genuine group of mechanics that just want to help you and your car up to the fullest potential. Go here, and hopefully you’ll get these three guys because they definitely made me feel a little less scared when it comes to cars. Will definitely be coming back and thank you!

Good but crazy pricey even w a coupon. Only come here when because it’s on my way home from work and don’t have time to go elsewhere. Wish this place was more affordable and I would come here more often.

Excellent service at this drive thru oil change station. Didn’t get out of my car once. They checked my whole car out, lights, other fluids, tires and filters. Got my oil changed and my tires rotated as well as the «in car» air filter changed. I didn’t even know that thing was behind my glove compartment… It was so dirty I’m pretty sure it was never changed in previous service appointments. The guys there were very informative and really nice. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

WOW this was so quick & painless. Knew I couldn’t put off getting an oil change any longer, googled places around work and found this. Was this the cheapest oil change I have ever had? No — I would say it falls somewhere around the middle but I will say it included a full maintenance check, including the two air filters, and the put air back into my tires. The staff was super friendly & professional, asking permission for each part of the maintenance check. I would definitely come here again — it lived up to its claim to change the oil in 15 min. & I got to stay in my car. Brought a bag full of stuff to do, expecting to wait at least ½ hour & was pleasantly surprised.
If its your first time — keep in mind the entrance is on Harbor blvd. & exit is on Imperial Hwy.

Wow this place is great. I was so impressed with the professionalism and attitudes of the employees. The manager worked on our car and she checked the car from hood to trunk

Today I drove in from Arcadia California to get my 1999 F150 oil changed. Was greeted by «Drew» the assistant manager of the location. Very friendly and explained all the services. I upgraded to the maxlife due to the old truck needs to taken care of and thery were offering a Labor day weekend discount on service’s. Drew was great very informative and explained each item that was needed to be addressed with my vehicle I chose just to stay with the standard service with the MaxLife synthetic blend oil he also save me $ 20 on today’s service which I was very pleased with the service and how fast they got me in and out.

I have been here a couple of times.
The pros are they are very quick and the price with a coupon is ok. They are not an auto repair shop so you can get an unbiased opinion on anything that is leaking in the car.
The cons are the service is hit or miss. Its not bad, just not very good to say the least. They were not able to reset my change oil indicator which could or could not be a problem with the car and they nickle and dime you on services like topping off some of the fluids a regular repair shop would have included in the cost.

Worst service ever! I needed a oil change and stopped here. I asked how much and he said $ 60 and I said thank you but no. He offered $ 10 off so I said ok. When the other man started checking things under the hood, the first man stopped him. I asked why and he said nothing. So I got a discount but so was the service! I’ll never go here again

$ 40 for a lube job, on the car you sick bastards. There is a $ 5 Unilocal check in coupon.
I think this establishment heard the bickerings of the public… which was quit upselling us like if our car needed new rugs.
My latest trip, there was no pressure upselling. The O.C. was completed in less than ten minutes. I am willing to pay $ 40 for a 10 minute lube job.
Also, added air to the tires.

Thanks to a Unilocaler checking into a Valvoline location eons ago, we finally realized that you actually sit on your car while they do the work.
Some may not like it, but I actually prefer it. You pull up, they get your info, and you begin. Considering that I went to a new location this time, I figured that I would have to start ALL over like I did with Jiffy Lube in the past. They scan the code inside your door to pull up the info for a first visit on a new location. Unfortunately their computers were acting up so he typed it in manually.
Both times that I have gone to Valvoline I have only gotten an oil change, so that is all that I can base it off of. They mention anything that your car make recommends and they ask if you would like to take care of it. They check your lights, brake lights, hazard lights, etc. At the end he even had me verify that no warning lights were on my dash, and even checked the «Info» settings. If you need a tire rotation, they will do it there too, along with a transmission flush.
They are also quicker than Jiffy Lube and Firestone. Jiffy Lube I must go in and out of their waiting area to verify more info or to hear all the things that they think that I need. I remember reading a long time ago that they were ripping off many people in this way and telling them things that they didn’t really need, not to mention taking much longer than they advertise in most cases. Yeah, most places do that, but I did not feel that way here. Firestone took over a day to do a transmission flush and add a new tire to my car. Many other places that offer oil changes will give you hours to wait, so you either need another car to come home in or you are stranded for a while.
The customer service is very friendly here and I really appreciate that, and the wait is not long. I’m not sure if they are more money than competitors or not, because right when I started going to them is when I needed the higher mileage oil. Boo! So, it has cost me more, but they do offer coupons through Unilocal frequently. I received $ 10 off. They have zero problems taking them and just take the code down.
