I’m not a great fan of AYCE Sushi. I mostly think AYCE should be just for Korean BBQ… Until I met this place!!! This place is awesome! No, it’s not fancy and it’s not luxurious, and not somewhere you would go on your Valentine’s Day, but the owner(I think he’s the owner, a Korean gentleman with glasses) is super super nice all the time, and the portion of the sushi is HUGE, while the rice is very little, which is awesome, b/c they’re not trying to fill you up with all the rice! Sometimes some waitresses/waiters are a bit slow in responding to you, but it’s okay. No biggie. Another huge deal is that my 8-yrs old who’s not a sushi fan could select their OPTION A, which is cheaper, and would be AYCE teriyaki chicken, gyoza, udon, etc.

First visit: We made a reservation for 8 people so we got a long table on the left hand side of the restaurant. As we were waiting for the rest of the party to arrive, we asked one of the waitresses, a short girl with blonde hair, for some water. She just ignored us. Okay??? My friend asked her again and she said«I’ll be with you in a moment,» and sped off. She never came back. We saw other parties trying to get her attention as well with frustration. I thought we were in for a bad night. Then a different waitress came, one with dark hair and a very sweet vibe. She got us our waters and gave us extra(& I mean extra) ginger. They have this alcohol deal, but I don’t remember which one we got. Anyway, with a certain alcohol combo, you get to spin the wheel and get a chance of winning something. Food was really good. Usually if a few people want AYCE, they have to sit separately from those ordering a la carte or everyone has to order the same thing. NOTHERE. Just sit next to those who are ordering AYCE and a la carte. They offer student discount with student ID as well! Service is great if you don’t count the blonde waitress. Second visit: I came here for my birthday with my family and decided to order AYCE. The food was taking a bit longer to come out so the chefs rushed and ended up making doubles of some of our orders! We told the manager and he told us we wouldn’t be charged for any remaining food. BTW, if you order sushi, it comes in two’s. So if you order 10, 20 will come out. Don’t be afraid to ask the waiters for help if it’s your first time. They’re more than happy to explain!

Everything started off great. Great service, orders came out fast, sushi chefs were super friendly. But by our second round of ordering, we did not receive all the rolls we ordered and they crossed off round 2 as done. When we pointed it out to the waitress, she totally blew my husband off in a quite rude manner. We waited and waited and they never brought us the rest of our order for round 2. By then we were over it. Did not even get to round 3. We paid the check and left. The food is not that great that I would give it a second chance. It wasn’t bad but wasn’t the best AYCE sushi. So many other choices in the area to try.

AYCESUSHI!!! I came here on Monday afternoon and was surprise about how many people where here. It wasnt too busy but the place looked packed. I got seated right away and was immediately helped. One thing i was really surprised about was ordering sushi. The reason why is that they dont cheap on the fish and sell you on the rice. the piece of fish is a great size and the rice is small so you dont get full off the rice. Will definitely come back over here

Wow I have never been to an Asian buffet with the service met at Sushi4u. Upon arrival, the owner greeted us with all smiles and small talk. He helped us with our order and encouraged us to eat a LOT! They give students 10% discount and the food is actually great quality. Sushi buffets are usually just meh but this one exceeded my expectations. I came all the way from west LA and will definitely return! They even gave us yellowtail collar on the house — and I’ve worked at a sushi restaurant… That ain’t cheap! We really got the best service and food on our Valentine’s Day :-)

Oh this is my SPOT for all you can eat sushi! They are top-notch if you are looking for service, quality, and best not a whole lot of rice! They offer half rolls for the AYCE so you don’t fill up on one roll that you basically just wanted to taste! That is one of the perks that sold me. They also have a spinning wheel for«prizes» such as sake or beer and I am sure other things which makes the place fun. Also, they play Japanese pop/techno, not sure who is really into it but I find it funny and it makes the atmosphere a good time. One last thing, they offer student discount the last time I went!

They offer different options to ayce sushi. Which is nice because you can choose to spend $ 17 or $ 25 per person! And 10% off with student ID card. In-out salmon– BOMB! If you’re a salmon lover like I am. Just baked salmon inside and out. Popcorn crawfish– mediocre. Just a Cali roll with fried crawfish on top. Taste exactly the way it sounds. Just whatever. Rock & Roll-really light tasting but good at the same time. Yellowtail lover– awesome! Saw this posted by other Unilocalers so I had to try it. And I loved it. Nigiris– loved the rice to fish ratio! Hardly any rice. Lots of fish. Only reason why I’m not giving it a 5 star is because they refused to customize my hand roll because it’s «not listed on the menu» Not a big deal but still, i want my salmon and eel hand roll with avocado! Lol. It’s always listed as individual options on the hand roll list, why not just combine the two into one.

Very decent for All You Can Eat sushi ! ! ! Very pleasant service ! ! ! Price is good, too. $ 25 for dinner AYCE. Of course, my review is based on that this establishment is a fairly new(about a year old) AYCE sushi restaurant. What I love most about this place is… it is SUPERQUICK to get any order(I was really impressed), and the rice ratio in the sushi compared to the fish/other ingredients. We all know other places will stuff so much rice in the sushi or rolls. Or they will cut ugly chunky slice of fish on top of rice. But, Sushi4u(the name is kinda…:P) doesn’t do those tricks. The quality of all the fish was pretty good/fresh. And the miso & upon soups came hot which we really liked especially for the cold weather like today. The staffs here and the owner(I think) are quite generous. He(I think the owner) came and suggested couple of their special rolls, and they were goood. They gave us extra free green tea ice cream cuz my friend liked it so much. Only thing I wish is the bathroom… to be upgraded, remodeled &CLEANER. Too bad this place in only in OC. Why can’t we have a decent AYCE sushi place in LA?

*Let me preface this review by saying I am an incredibly critical and cynical individual when it comes to my Unilocal stars. Yeah, I’m one of those a-holes that treats my stars as if they’re Michelin-grade. [Who does this guy think he is ;) ] So I have to admit, I have never given a place a full on five-star review. I’m the kind of person that finds the perfect five-star rating as an elusive unicorn that does not exist. That being said, if I’ve ever tell anyone of a perfect experience, it would have to be this spot. Food & Drink: The sushi here is absolutely superb. I’ve been to too many sushi restaurants that have incredible atmosphere and lighting with mediocre sushi at their core. What I really loved about the place is how they give you smaller portions of rolls so you can try out more without over-stuffing your face. I would recommend the pink lady one. It’s so good! Service: Okay, so in my previous experiences of AYCE sushi, many would give us ominous warnings to prevent us from ordering too much with penalties. Our waitress was INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful with us. She came by to refill and check on us often with all smiles. It was great! Atmosphere: When I saw the place in the shopping center, I really was not expecting much. However, I was welcomed to a packed room with laughter and dining. For the most part, the lighting, furniture, and décor were very very good. They even had a hilarious rave light-show that flashed the entire restaurant for someone’s birthday. Not gonna lie, it was rather impressive. If there’s any slight criticism of the atmosphere it would be a need for more art on the wall, though I won’t hold them to it. Overall: Perfect. Plain and simple. I can literally count the occasions where I’ve had a flawless experiences on my two hands. This place is definitely joining their ranks. :)

I have never been to an AYCE sushi place and would say I would go there again. Well I definitely would come here again. Their nigiri fish to rice ratio was excellent. I felt like I kept ordering plates of salmon. Are they out of their minds?! How are they not losing money with all that fish they’re serving! Service was excellent and the bathrooms are clean. If you’re a student, you save 10%!

Located in an old run down shopping center. So I wasn’t expecting much as I was meeting friends there. I decided to go with the all you can eat for $ 24.99 since everyone else was doing it. Pretty decent selection of sushi rolls and cuts and sashimi. Small selection of beers and sake and no hard liquor. The service was very friendly and seated quickly as the place was only half full. There was a birthday in the house. They make a big deal with music and lights to celebrate which was fun. They need better placed tvs or more tvs so that you can watch some sports while dining.

I’ve been wanting to try eating AYCE sushi for the longest time. My first impression of this place when I walked in was good. Service was great and we experienced a birthday celebration which they turn the lights into rave lights and do a huge celebration which is different from many of the other sushi restaurants I’ve visited. After that, our experience went downhill. What’s good about this place is, they give you 4 pieces of rolls instead of 8 allowing you to try many more of the options on the menu. I ordered the washington roll, and yellowtail delight roll during the first round. The yellowtail delight roll was really good, and the washington roll was just okay. On the second round, I ordered the popcorn crawfish roll. and boy was that a mistake. The crawfish has a strange sweetness to it and it tastes a little bit like cough syrup. I ended up just sweeping all the crawfish off the roll and ate the bottom of it. Drink refills were difficult to get, and if you order a second round, it takes a longer time to get. The fish to rice ratio on the nigiri sushi is way off. There is barely any rice in the nigiri which may be great for some people, but that is not the proper way to make sushi so the texture is off. I really don’t know why this place has 4.5 stars… Maybe because they give you 10% off if you are a student but that is pretty much it. The Tuna here is dyed red so it is a bright highlighter color. The Udon here was decent but the broth was too sweet. The tempura was good, A+ there, but too bad they don’t give you tempura sauce with it, but instead it is served with gyoza sauce which is too salty for tempura. Service from one of the younger waitresses was good, but everyone else didn’t really care to service us. We had a older waitress clear our dishes and there was an empty cup of ice tea, yet no refill there. I noticed the table next to us, the server dropped off a plate of food, the couple wanted to say something, but they ran off too quick for them to even say anything. Don’t think its really worth the $ 24.99/per person

Lots and quick! They give large portions of fish and small portions of rice! True to AYCE. They seat you quickly. Only thing sad is I don’t have a memorable dish or plate I ordered that I could recommend.

Don’t be fooled by the exterior of this place. It’s a bit run down on the outside and is next to an abandoned old grocery store but walk right in! The interior is very nice clean. Have a party of 14, service started off kinda slow but definitely picked up. All of us got the all you can eat. Sushi is pretty fresh here. Really enjoyed the salmon skin, super crispy and probably the best I’ve tried. I highly recommend the salmon skin here. They also have a lot of different choices on the AYCE menu. So don’t be afraid to explore to get your money worth. The sushi came out fast! Those sushi chef are super fast, they just have hired chefs straight off the island. Everything was well plated and neat. No sloppy plating or half assed sushi. Very impressed how fast the sushi came out considering how big of a party we had.

Top notch AYCE sushi spot in Fullerton! So glad I found this place. The quality of sushi is great for the price you pay. ANDTHEYHAVEBOMBUNAGIIIIII! So so yummy! They have two choices for AYCE, I’d recommend the latter because your options are more varied. If you are a simple eater and just sticks to rolls… Then you can go cheap lol but what a waste! Haha just eat everything! It’s so worth it

This is one of the best all you can sushi place I have eaten at, mind you I live to eat. Their selections is long enough for you to be coming for a week to finish everything on the menu. The sashimi is cut big enough to taste and the rice ball is one third of what other sushi places serve. After gorging on all the sushi they will serve your palette with fantastic green tea ice cream. Pro — Fish to rice ratio is 3:1 — Price is very reasonable for great menu — Generous servings Con — There’s not a thing I can say that’s wrong

Came here on the recommendation of a friend because of the cheap prices and quality of food. My boyfriend and I ate here on Saturday, we were expecting it to be 15.99 with 10% off student discount as advertised on Unilocal. However, when we arrived we found out that they actually had two options for their AYCE menu at 15.99 and at 24.99 option which was not mentioned on their Unilocal info… So we kind of got bait and switched. We decided to order the 24.99 option anyway(they still gave us the 10% off). I was happy with the food and the service. We tried a variety of appetizers, sushi, and rolls. We did not have any complaints about any of the food. Overall it is a very good AYCE place, however, I wish they would have been more straight forward with the prices.

Another AYCE sushi for another family meal. My siblings have been trying to convince me there was another better sushi spot in their area after the failure at Sushi in Motion. Located at the corner of Harbor Blvd & Imperial Hwy, it’s in a dead plaza. With Albertson’s Supermarket folding it’s tent, it’s basically the only business left. The good news, plenty of parking. To the food. It’s basically a sushi roll place. The best dish I had was the spicy scallop cut roll and hand roll. Not too spicy(for me), but the scallops more than made up for it. Yum! Not usually a fan of salmon skin, but their version here was good as well. In the just okay range were: Baked Mussels — could use more mayo Tempura mix — good, but very oily Spicy Tuna — need more spice Eel — not a lot of eel. Service was great. Super helpful and they were on the ball serving a big group. My siblings didn’t convince me this was a good sushi place. I don’t like sushi rolls that much. But if you do, come and give this place a try. You might like it. 2015 Review #74

Not a big fan of sushi, but hubby is… so we decided to try this ayce place coz of their awesome reviews here on Unilocal plus it’s our first time with ayce sushi… but omg, my fellow Unilocalers are sooo right!!! This place is definitely a five-star restaurant, from the food to their customer service!!! Just uh-mazing!!! We got the ayce dinner B for $ 24.95 coz most choices were in Dinner B lol. We ordered so much that I can’t remember all of them lol. But the ones that made my top list for rolls were: –Golden tiger –this one has jalapeño, giving it a slight kick of spice… but the cream cheese on top just tied the whole taste. Supergood!!! –Baked crawfish tail –i enjoyed this one, just a simple cali roll with baked crawfish tail lol –Popcorn crawfish –this one is kinda like the baked crawfish tail –Ninja –this one was different, just baked salmon and imitation crab together –Red blossom –hubby loved this one! I didnt get to eat it haha! We also ordered yellowtail, eel, rainbow and baked salmon. The fish tasted fresh and yummy!!! The sushi chef definitely didnt rush on any of our orders. Plus, there was a point when we got so full but we really wanted to get the rainbow roll, so we asked the chef to cut it in half. We really appreciate that he did. Do not order the vegetable roll, i was curious but the moment i tasted it… ugh it tasted so wrong, just didn’t mix together. The old lady who served us was amazing. She was wonderful and very pleasant. It wasn’t very busy that time but still, she was always alert. I definitely recommend going for the ayce B choice. There’s just so much with B and the best ones are in there. Don’t bother with the appetizer haha, save it all for sushi!
