Jimmy John’s

I’ve learned my lesson! I’ll stick with Jersey Mike’s. Wrong bread, funny smell, over priced. I’ve had better sandwiches from 7-​Eleven. They are getting 2 stars because the sandwich wasn’t bad enough for me to actually toss.

Decided to be lazy and order online to get some food delivered today and I chose Jimmy John’s. The delivery took only about 30 minutes and I live about an 8 minute walking distance away.
I ordered a Vito sub on French bread and added cucumbers and hot peppers. I enjoyed the sandwich! It was simple, but in this case that’s okay to me. Pretty straight to the point. It definitely tasted fresher than say, Subway. My hunger was satisfied with just the sub. I’m definitely down to try other things on this menu too. I’ll go again soon!

Fastest sandwiches made by far out of many food chains. Place is very simple, store is very clean.
I went in and within a minute was out the door. Sandwich ordered, paid, and picked up.
Prices are within other competing sub chains. These sandwiches are simple and no glass to see how the sandwiches are made like a subway. I personally think between JJ, subway, firehouse, jersey mikes, Quiznos, all chains have something to offer better than the next. Certain items others can’t duplicate.

I had the Vito here and it was good, just think more bread options would help…

Came in today and ordered a Club Lulu #16. My hubs got the Vito #5. The bread was fresh and tasty and all the ingredients were delish! We’ve yet to be disappointed by a Jimmy John’s. This is a great place to get a quick and filling sandwich. Friendly employees and quick, I mean super quick service. Not necessarily the cheapest chain out there, but not overly expensive either. They range from about $ 5– $ 9 not including sides or drinks. So you can economize if need be. JJ’s and Jersey Mike’s are my top 2 sandwich places and I love them both for different reasons.

My order was done before I finished paying… freaky fast! I love the bread here but they always go super light on the sides when you pay extra for it, especially the avocado. Jimmy John’s is a little pricey compared to other sandwich chains, but the quality is much better.

Make a sandwich at home! My sandwich was 9 $ and was like eating an all mayonnaise sandwich.

So glad jimmy johns is now making its appearance orange county. Sooo good i always get #9 with sprouts and extra dijon mustard. I eat it daily. Its that good.

I have now tried a few different sandwiches and I have to say I enjoy them. I went in expecting a cold deli sub and that’s exactly what I got. I go there for the quickness your sandwiches ready within 60 seconds.

Let me start by saying, I’ve had great experiences at other locations, but twice now my order (which is pretty plain/​basic) has been screwed up here. Really disappointing to pick up food to go, only to get all the way home and have it be incorrect or have missing items. Will drive further to other locations or just take my business to Which Which or Jersey Mike’s from now on… :/

I grew up eating Jimmy Johns and have always loved the fast service and amazing quality. This specific store gave me all I was expecting and beyond! The staff was extremely helpful and so so nice, they were all giving me suggestions on what could make my sandwich even better than it already is, you could tell they really wanted it to be the best it could be and it was! I came in during the lunch rush and even though there was a line of people I still had my sandwich in my hand before I was even done paying it was so awesome.
I got a #12 beach club that had tomatoes, cucumbers, mayo, lettuce, provolone cheese with avocado & turkey. Such high quality meat that’s what I love the most. When I’m really hungry I double the portion of turkey and it’s less than 2 dollars, sooo worth it. You can tell that it’s real, good stuff. All the veggies were so fresh and the bread was soo soft and fresh yet you can smell it right when you walk in. They suggested that I added bacon and oh my gosh, I’ll never order the #12 without the bacon again! The bacon was SOO fresh and crunchy i couldn’t believe it. It was so delicious. They’re truly living up to freaky fast and just overall so so so good. I always expect great service and great food at Jimmy johns but this store really went above and beyond.

As Jimmy John’s have been popping up around Orange County for a little while, my wife and I decided to try one out.
We I were out shopping and this location was the closest to us. My only negative about our whole experience is that this location was a bit difficult to find. It is on the west side of Harbor Blvd, just south of Orangethorpe.
The employees were friendly and welcomed us as we entered. There were people ahead of us, so it gave us a chance to read the menu. My wife settled on the #8 — Billy Club. It was roast beef and smoked ham with provolone cheese. I decided on the JJ Gargantuan. This one has 5 meats (roast beef, smoked ham, capicola, Genoa salami and turkey) with provolone cheese and the typical sub-​type veggies/​vinaigrette. I had them hold the tomatoes and vinaigrette but add extra onions. I added chips and we both got large sodas.
While the orders were being made, I noticed a section on the menu titled «FREEBIES» and I noticed that I could have added oregano and sprouts. When the gentleman behind the counter started to make my sandwich, he double-​checked that I did not want any vinaigrette on my sandwich and when I confirmed this, I asked if it were too late to add the oregano and sprouts. He said that this was no problem, and in short order our meal was prepared.
All of their subs on French Bread come in one size (8 inches), but they do offer a sliced wheat bread. Our sandwiches were on the French Bread.
When we got home for lunch, we noticed that the bread seemed «hard» on the bottom and soft on the top. I was a bit confused and worried about this. That is, until I bit into the sandwich! The «hardness» must be a by-​product of the baking process and I found it to be a great advantage for two reasons! First, when biting into the sandwich, this «hardness» produced a great crispy-​sounding crunch, reminiscent of typical French Bread. Second, this «hardness» gave the sandwich support as I held it. The bread did not sag or droop as many sandwiches I have had from different sub shops have done.
My wife and I truly enjoyed our sandwiches. While there was a little sticker shock (compared to other sub shops), we found that our food was worth it!
This will NOT be the last time we visit Jimmy John’s!

If you like sandwiches this is the place to go! I literally had the best sandwich ever and it didn’t even have bread! I got the hunters club unwich (lettuce wrap perfect for us gluten-​free peeps). It had lots of delicious freshly cut roast beef, Holey Moley it was SO GOOD! I also got jalapeño chips (oh my gosh out of this world!) and a sweet tea, this was the best meal I had in a LONG time! And my food was ready super quick! I didn’t even think it was mine, it was that FAST! lol You are definitely paying for QUALITY. I love Jimmy Johns! I will definitely be in again soon!

DUUUDE!!! I didn’t even finish paying and my sandwich was already handed to me! I’m going to start coming here for my breaks from work because I Know I won’t have to wait to get my food! I got the #16 and added cheese and avocado and this sandwich was delicious!.. Talk about FRESH! You can really taste the fresh veggies in the club I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to grab a great delicious tasty sandwich and you get it back in less than a minute (LITERALLY) I really got to enjoy my break and didn’t spend it waiting for my food like at other restaurants. Did I mention the cookies! I am addicted to that chocolate chunk cookie soo good! My only wish is that I had ice cream to go with it :)) great friendly staff and the place smelled like warm delicious soft bread fresh out of the oven I will be back for more!

I love how the Midwest is making its way to the west coast. Jimmy John’s has been a big part of my childhood and it makes me happy that they’re here now. I can still remember when I would order the Gargantuan and finish it no problem. But those days are behind me and now I must be conscious of what I put in my body.
They could take it easy on the mayo though.

Amazing sandwiches. I’m so addicted to JJs. Extremely fresh bread. Cant decide which bread is my favorite. French or wheat. Freaky fast too! Love the #4 wit cucumbers and cheese. Recently had them «Jimmy it up». Oh oh oh so good. Another favorite is the #5. Gonna try the «double gut buster» next. It’s on their secret menu like in-​and-​out. The place is so clean and spotless. Oatmeal cookie the bomb and I always get the bbq chips and pickle. Btw the chips and filled to the top of bag unlike those name brand guys. Two thumbs up to the staff. They always make me feel like a rock star when I come in. Great job guys!
Looks like I’m going back there today.

So glad to see Jinmy John’s in the west coast. After moving from Atlanta, I thought there weren’t any here.
Absolutely love the bread. The staff at this location is super friendly. The sandwich is as good as I remember from back home.
Had the roast beef. Great quality. If you haven’t tried JJ, you have to try.

Not terrible not great. Basically the mediocrity of Subway with smaller portions. The one good thing was The chips. I asked for pickles and didn’t get them. (I think the giant «don’t forget the pickles» sign doesn’t help”) asked for mustard and got packets.
The inside is nice new and clean with a front row seat to the dozen or so homeless people smoking meth and pan handling on the side walk and lounging on the lawn. It sort of resembles skid row in LA without the structures.

Meh. That is all I can say really.
Not a huge fan of sandwiches for dinner and they are not open for breakfast (which they should be!) so I stopped by for a early lunch right when they opened.
No lines, couple of kids working, nice, eager to serve.
Super clean, new store, though no good smells or anything enticing going on.
Kid of a cold, sterile vibe, not great for hanging out for awhile.
There are only two veggie options and I was looking forward to the tuna one, but really hate mayo and it cannot be made without.
Boo for premade tuna salad.
So I had the veggie.
Now I am all for healthy, but this was just raw, cold veggies.
No sauce, no love, no flavor, just a few lifeless veggies in stale, cold bread.
I actually threw it away, should have brought it back but the kids working were so nice and the place is still new.
Don’t think I’ll bother to be back, I think this is one of my least favorite sub chains, honestly, even Subway tastes better.

I’m a fan. I’ve been here so many times that the workers are starting to recognize me I’ve tried the Bootleggers with and without peppers. I like the peppers but they can be spicy at times for me. I’ve tried the tuna and I’ve tried the Vito. All delicious!

I’ve been waiting to try Jimmy John’s since I am always on a search for the best roast beef sandwiches. They didn’t disappoint. I think it really says something about a sandwich spot when the menu is simple but has quality ingredients.
The staff was really helpful, conversational, and friendly. I hope they keep that up even after the «newness» wears off.
I had a roast beef sandwich (duh) and it was great! One of the guys even told me that I could ask for the beef to be a little more on the rare side. Pair that with the freshly made French bread for total perfection. They make their bread fresh all day long and I love that they sell day old bread, perfect for taking home to make French toast or bread pudding!
Overall I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back!
