Capriccio Gelato Caffe

Capriccio is the only gelato shop I will go to since it has opened. I’ve tried good gelato before, but once I tried Capriccio it was like trying it for the first time. I mean, the gelato here is heavenly. The gelato tastes exactly like the flavors advertised and after talking with the owner, I know that she makes her gelato from scratch every day and lived in Italy for a few years to learn the art of gelato (my corny words, not hers).
The owner and her mother are two of the most friendly and hospitable shop owners I’ve encountered. I always leave a tip (unless I am flat broke!).
You can’t beat the quality and commitment of Capriccio … at least not in Fullerton. =)

Gelato is great. Dining area is pretty cool. Service is fantastic!

I ordered a pint of Gelato (about 10 bucks) which comes with three different flavors. The Gelato was fluffy and smooth. Almost as good as ice cream. It is probably in my top 5 of all time favorite Gelato places. My favorite was the mint and the cheesecake. A small is about 3 bucks. Yes, it is pricey.

Service was fantastic. I was greeted by a very young looking Korean Lady who even asked me my name. I love that! The conversation was great. In the short time I was there I learned she was a grandma. She introduced me to one of her two grandchildren. I felt like I was special!
BONUS! It was 95 degrees. HOT. The Gelato was packed in a cool pack with ice on the bottom so that it would not melt on the trip home. Then it was placed in a very attractive to go bag. Right on!

This place is pretty cool. A great place to hang with friends, take a date for a nice dessert on a hot day, and for kids. The display case is amazing and looks like a work of art. Perfect for little kids to look into!
I will definitely return. Classy place for Gelato! I was impressed!
