A concrete and grassy area between the Titan Student Union and the Performing Arts Center, Becker hosts bands for students, and anyone really, to watch for free on Wednesdays. The band line-up ranges from local to the internationally-known, indie mostly, but still has some variety. Some of the artists that have played Becker in the last year or so: Dusty Rhodes and the River Band, Saint Motel, Craic Haus, Apocalipstick, Good Man Down, Back Pocket Memory, Normandie, The 88, I Am Ghost, Ferocious Few, Speaker Junkies, The New Limb, She Screams Remedy, Valencia, Letlive, Monarques, Still the Sky’s Limit, The Workday Release, Suddyn, Pilot Touhill, and many more I can’t remember. Becker gets used for a lot of different events, be they student election speeches, cultural exchanges, frat and sorority happenings, or student government. An ASI fashion show there was supposedly crashed when anti-tuition-raising protesters stormed through it.
