Taco Cabana

I hate going to this location they have bad customer service, feels like a bunch of teenagers run this place. They always mess up my order, there’s always something missing when I drive away. Then you have to go back inside to get them to fix it will giving you dirty looks, cause «how dare you want what you paid for» definitely not worth the money.

Came back, service is was usually good and kind to me, also great deals. The Enchilada Plate is delicious, but the only problem is when you need to go to the restroom… the toilet out of service, so you might have to run over to Crackdonald’s to use the MEN’S bathroom.

I’m embarrassed to say I’m a regular here. Maybe it’s just because I have nostalgia about coming here when it was the only thing I could afford, or maybe it’s because their salsa bar is really pretty amazing. But I don’t even have the excuse of coming here when I’m drunk; it’s just comfort food for me!
Taco Cabana is hit or miss, for sure. Some locations are pretty disgusting. Even this one sometimes suffers from ridiculously slow service for no real reason. But this location is the only one I’ve found so far in NE Tarrant that has fresh, sliced jalapeños on the salsa bar in addition to the picked jalapeños. Am I that much of a sucker for spicy food that this could sway me? Read my other reviews and you tell me.
I love this place and I know I shouldn’t. But the brisket tacos and homemade tortillas — not to mention that my born-​and-​raised Michigan self still can’t quite get over the novelty of cheap margaritas being available in a fast food restaurant — means that I’ll be drowning my shame in chips and salsa here pretty much every week.

Food is ok. Used to love it but there’s better in the area now. Only item worth the price is cabana bowl, everything else has gotten skimpy on quality/​quantity.

Great place to eat anytime. Their breakfast options are fantastic and not greasy. Lunch and dinner offer many selections and fresh salsas. Their tortillas are always fresh and hot. The staff is also wonderfully nice. I’d recommend it!

Can zero stars be an option? Eat here if you like subpar «Mexican» fast food. My reason for never returning is because on 2 separate occasions I witnessed employees making food with gloved hands (filling tacos, etc) then taking money and using cash register with THE SAME GLOVED HANDS then on to the food line AGAIN. I know what you’re thinking– why on earth would I go back again?! I didn’t eat but was along in the car. I’m disgusted.

Watch this place they short people’s order. Then they refused to fix it unless I came inside. Why should i have to come in when this was their mistake. And I had called in ahead of time to tell them. They told me they would fix this if I came back. Then when i drove all the way back, they were rude. I asked to speak to a manager and they said they were the manager. So much for a customer being happy!

I found this particular Taco Cabana understaffed, unclean, and shamelessly apathetic toward customer service. I’ve never had to ask to have my order cancelled and refunded at any other TC. Yes, a 45 minute wait with no food in sight. The owners of this particular franchise location need a wake up call!

Foods always really good be sure to check your order before you leave the drive thru cause it’s usually missing something

Got home this morning after working night shift with my Eggs Mexicana I purchased at this restaurant. Not only did I find one pubic type grey hair I found two. This was totally disgusting and I can only imagine how they ended up in the eggs I purchased.

There are a million birds at this intersection flying around pooping on everything! This is very annoying trying to find a place to park and not get your car dirty.

Fast, cheap, and taste good. Normally we get the Taco Box (12 tacos 10 bucks) not sure if you could make them at home this cheap lol. Great salsa bar!

My wife and I needed a place for a quick lunch today and were not in the mood for the other fast food TexMex chains. WE like Taco Cabana because they have an expanded menu compared to other similar restaurants.
Today’s lunch was wonderful and a very good value for the money. I absolutely love their flautas and the freshness and variety of the salsa bar. My wife’s personal sized chicken quesadilla was huge and she was barely able to finish it.
The counter personnel were friendly and efficient and our food was delivered from the open kitchen very quickly. We had plenty of time to relax during our lunch time meal and still get my wife back to work on time.

Today’s lunch at Taco Cabana was a pleasant surprise. Normally, I avoid fast food places, yet the vibe that I received at this location off of Western Center Blvd. and N. Beach Street was different.
For starters, the building itself conveys cleanliness from inside and out. You can tell that there was some money put into the place! The menu was very easy to read, and the cashier was courteous and even made recommendations that proved useful when choosing a meal at this establishment for the very first time.
Our party consisted on four people, and three of us decided to order the combo meal of shrimp tacos (in a soft taco shell) along with tortilla chips + queso, along with a drink order. I can’t remember the name of the shrimp taco/​combo meal, yet I did remember was that for $ 6 and change, it was pretty good in comparison to the place next door that offered tons of grease and heartburn. Yet I’m not gonna go there today with that. :)
The fourth person in our party had a burrito combo meal along with three chicken taquitos (which were very good). All and all, everything came to $ 30 and change. Again, not terrible considering that there are lots of fast food options in the plaza that Taco Cabana is in. The difference being? This meal actually tasted more like a meal versus that of the plain jane fast food.
Although I try to stay away from sodas, I did try one with the combo meal (a strawberry Fanta), and needless to say, it tasted very fresh. It did not have the syrup-​type of taste nor that of one that was completely flat. There was a large screen television that showed the day’s news and such (in this case, CNN coverage) + Wifi. Not a bad meal for a party of four in terms of price and quality food if you are on a budget. Even more so, you did not leave the restaurant with a bloated stomach nor with nausea. I would certainly return to this location and see what else that they have on their menu next time.

This is a good one here… Free wifi, good food, not a bad place to roll in for breakfast on the weekend for cheap eats. It’s easy to get in and out and pretty clean for a fast food joint. I’ll be returning.

Management is great. Everyone knows taco cabana food is good for fast food.

Excellent margaritas!

is it me or does their menu look different from everywhere else? Because i always get the fajita taco skillet (?) to go and for some reason I couldnt find it on the drive thru menu at this location…
but other than that! LOVES THEIR STEAK QUESIDILLA!!!

EDIT: My credit card number was stolen (number, not card) after I went here. I can’t say for sure if someone at this place stole my info, but it was the last legitimate charge on my account. My credit card company said it’s usually the last legitimate charge because they want to use the number as soon as they can. Yeeaaaahh if it wasn’t already bad enough, I’m definitely not going back now.
I’m shocked at the great reviews for this place! I couldn’t even finish half my plate when I went here.
Cons:
–Cold food
–Obviously canned refried beans
–Not spicy at all.
–Everything tastes the same– flavorless.
–Guy at the counter asks me if I want «peek-​ah» and I have no idea what that is. «You don’t know what peek-​ah de gallo is?!» he says. Requires every moral fiber in my body to not say: «Um, it’s called peek-​o de gallo, dumbass.»
Pros:
–You can refill your own drink.
–Large portion sizes.

ALSO, THE CHEAPEST MEAL FOR A GROUP OF 3 TO 4 PEOPLE (less then 5 dollars –total– to feed everyone in the group)
If you go to this location (drive thru) before 11 AM and order the 12 pack Breakfast Tacos (The Cabana Way) I can guarantee that you will be shocked at how fast you’ll get your order (I thought it was a fluke the first time, but this place has been consistent every time I order these).
Literally, you order, drive up, pay, and they hand you the food (sometimes it does take just a minute).
The 12 pack breakfast tacos (The Cabana Way), consists of 3 egg/​bacon, 3 egg/​chorizo, 3 egg/​potato, and 3 bean/​cheese tacos (salsa included).
This meal costs around $ 11.90 (making each taco a $ 1 each) and usually I’m satisfied on 3 tacos.

So if you want a cheap fulfilling breakfast (that doesn’t take long to get) then I can’t recommend this place enough.
Now to lunch /​dinner…
A little trick I learned from a friend of mine.
For less then 5 dollars you can get 12 bean burritos, really.
Buy a pint of beans and a dozen flour tortillas. (sometimes if you ask nice, they’ll put cheese on the beans for you).
I recommend dining in to get the best value for your money because you can use the salsa bar to add more ingredients to the burritos.
