We couldn’t wait to try this Cajun BBQ! The food is good-always hot and tastes fresh. They have options so you can make everything as spicy as you like it, which is a nice touch. Great for a quick bite, and a go-to when we can’t decide what we want.

Pulled pork is good I kicked it up a notch with all 3 sauces mixed together. Sides are just ok nothing to write home about. Customer service was great nice staff.

I am blown away at these negative reviews. This is hands down one of my and my coworkers favorite restaurants for a multitude of reasons. Top reason is the food is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, I order something different every time and have yet to be disappointed! The jambalaya is to die for, the mac and cheese is divine, their seasonings and BBQ sauce is like no other! There is something for everyone for sure! Second reason is the atmosphere, and service is outstanding! They aim to please and it most certainly shows every single time we go! Seeing happy employee’s eager to help you is a rarity these days, and it makes such a difference on the overall experience! Third and of super huge importance is the quality and amount of food you get for the price is the clincher that keeps us coming back over and over! Please don’t let these reviews stop you from trying Voodoo BBQ, this place rocks! We take our employee’s out for their birthday and spent yesterday there because as I said we all love this place and always one of our top choices!

First visit [Oct 2015] with a coupon. Different food items offered with that cajun flavor; sweet potato soufflé and corn pudding. Order at the counter and food brought to your table. See photos. Also saw my first Pepsi beverage machine that allows you to mix and match with many different choices. And their takeout box and cups can be recycled. UPDATE: Return visit Jan 2016. Bumped them up another star. Great service and food. And plenty for leftovers. We got the Big Easy dinner plate but the corn bread wasn’t ready. So they offered a free third side dish and then still brought out the corn bread when finished. Pretty good deal for us. I like the Carnival dinner plate as you get a sample of different meats. And always get the corn pudding.

This is the Panda Express of Cajun. Don’t bother. I ordered the BBQ shrimp and it looked good but when I bit into it it wasn’t cooked. So I sent it back. I am pretty sure they microwaved it. But at least it was safe to eat. Gumbo was just ok and bread pudding was blah and not worth the calories. If you want Cajun go to a place that knows how to make it. NOTHERE.

Wow! We decided to try Voo Doo BBQ for the first time today and we were totally knocked out but the outstanding food and eager, friendly service. We were even able to sample before we ordered. After reading other reviews I am sure that this is a different restaurant. I ordered the gumbo and was knocked out by a flavor I haven’t experienced since I was south of highway 90 in Louisiana… served with a dollop of potato salad. The spicy sausage, pulled pork and corn pudding were excellent. I even liked the Voo Doo chips(and I’m not a chip guy by any means)! And the beignets were about the best I’ve had north of Café DuMond! I wasn’t expecting much from a sand-to-order restaurant, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Restaurant is clean and the atmosphere was relaxed with a heaping helping of Dixie land jazz!

I was not impressed, I was expecting the authentic taste that I remember from home(New Orleans). The meat was not too tender and it was room temperature. The veggies were very good, but you go there for the meat. Not what I expected.

Its different and interesting! I cant say ill eat here again but i cant say I wouldn’t. I ordered the brisket sandwich on french roll and a dusting of there cajun seasoning. They were out of fries and potato salad at 1230. So settled for chips. I had to approach the staff instead of being greeted. The place was clean and had New Orleans feel. Parking can be challenging at busy times

My favorite part of this place is the vinegar based BBQ sauce. If you’re tired of the typical sweet BBQ taste I highly recommended it. My husband and I eat here often and so far our favorites are the brisket, pulled pork and the potato soufflé. For the price this place is pretty good in our book!

So visited this place when it first opened it was just«okay» but I decided to give it another shot. The chicken on my big easy platter could have been cooked a little longer, the barbecue sauces were very watery, the mac & cheese tastes like KFC’s(and I was expecting more of a homemade taste), the sweet potatoe soufflé was just okay(Market Streets it’s wayyyyy better) and even the fountain drinks were nasty. Lol. But the customer service we received was EXCELLENT. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be back but I do think that this restaurant has the potential to be better

We found this place while driving around the shopping center looking for another restaurant that had closed down. This place still seems fairly new, and working on getting their game going. Friendly staff, but I wish they would have been a little more helpful with suggesting menu items. I ordered the pulled pork with jambalaya and coleslaw. Of the meal, my favorite part was the pulled pork and their original BBQ sauce. The Jambalaya was pretty typical, but not fantastic. I would declare a hard pass on the coleslaw, but in all fairness, my Louisiana native parents said that Louisiana coleslaw is never good. I would come back and try again!

I was recommended by a co-worker to try Voodoo Chicken a month ago! I finally decided to give it a try today with a good friend! The atmosphere is perfect! It made me feel that I was on bourbon street in New Orleans! I decided to get the big easy platter(1meat + 2 sides) and my friend decided to get the zydeco platter(3meats + 2 sides) below is my honest opinion on the food **The food was NOT hot, it was lukewarm** Brisket– dry, not seasoned Barbecue sauce– base for the sauce was runny, it was not thick and hearty! It seemed that the base of the barbecue was also used for the beans, jerk chicken and every other side that had any sauce! Baked beans– did not like the barbecue sauce that was added to the beans! Jerk Chicken– I could not eat it because it was dry, not seasoned and cold. I was excited to try it since the cashier recommended it, but disappointed. Know for the good part! Sausage– fantastic! Moist, perfectly seasoned, spicy, no barbecue sauce needed to enjoy! Corn pudding– good! It was similar to corn casserole! It was a little too mushy for my liking, but still good! Cornbread– good, soft and sweet! Would’ve been great if it was hot! Sweet potato soufflé– awesome! Perfect! The best thing on the menu!!!

They’re OK. I’d say the amount of meat for the $ 20 plate was obviously way more than Spring Creek’s(which BTW will give you more sides). They’re a bit pricier than SCBBQ but then again, you’re paying for the meat and not the side dish. The flavor of the meat was OK. SCBBQ’s sauce is a bit better taste wise though. So in comparison, whenever we eat at SCBBQ, we’d be taking home side dishes. But with Voodoo, we took home some more meat.

I really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately I probably won’t return. Appearance — nice environment, clean, really tried to make you feel like a New Orleans vibe. Menu — it appeared on paper to have potential with various choices. Pricing was a bit ridiculous based on portions. Food — we had five different items: jerk chicken, po-boy, corn pudding, Mac and cheese, chips, fries. The sandwiches were dry and really nothing special. Arrived at 1pm on Saturday. They weren’t serving pulled pork, potatoes. Out. If you open a new restaurant be prepared with your menu. Frustrating for someone to try if you are out. Employees — it was frustrating that about 3 people in front of me when I arrived and took 15min to order. Kids up front seemed confused and definitely did not know the menu. Come on man. This is your first impression. Left me with not a good one. Management — were they even around? Talk a lap around the place and ask your customers what they think and how was your customers experience. Good luck voodoo.

What a delightful find. After moving from NC and TN we have struggled to find really good places to eat that our family of 7 enjoys. After a little confusion over where to order, we got some FANTASTIC Food. There were 5 of us on this trip and we all ordered something different. The BBQ meats are all great, and a welcome change from a lot of the other BBQ around, but what really surprised me were the chicken fingers. They were the most succulent and delicious fingers I have had in years. Also make sure you get the corn pudding as one of the sides, and treat yourself to a Binet that tastes just like the ones on Bourbon Street. Other than a green staff and the initial ordering confusion this place is fantastic, and goes on our families list for one of the few places we can all find something to eat that we truly enjoy.

3 stars is a joke. The staff is lazy, I waited 35 minutes for scraps. Ugh, everyone was just standing around. The food was was mediocre at best. Definitely not worth the wait. NEVERWILL I BEBACK.

Went in on lunch…1st off I stood near one end of the serving line. There was a young lady behind the counter. She didn’t acknowledge me at all and nearly knocked me over with a tray as she served some people dining in. I waited a bit longer and as a pan came from the back and proceeded to cut and measure what appeared to be chicked. Still no acknowledgement or eye contact. I walked to the other end of the serving line where a register was located thinking maybe I wasn’t being acknowledged because I was in the wrong area. The young lady walked right by me on her way back around to the other end of the serving line without speaking to me ONCEAGAIN. I said«Excuse me. Where do I order?» She said«on this end» pointing to the area where I was JUST standing at the Left side of the serving line opposite the register. Still no one asked for my order and the place was not at all busy. The last straw is when a man with a Voodoo BBQ shirt came from OUTSIDE with earbuds in on the phone, went straight behind the serving line from OUTSIDE and proceeded to put on gloves near the cutting board. I watched from the second he walked around the counter since I wanted anyone’s attention at this point. HEDIDNOTWASHHISHANDS!!! Not only that but he was behind the serving line still holding a phone conversation. To add insult to injury, he also didn’t bother to make eye contact, smile, nod nothing to acknowledge me obviously standing there frustrated and starving. I walked out. I will never eat in such a place with such unprofessional unhygenic people and staff!!! They just opened and clearly need to shut down and try again. EWWWWW.
