When I first went to this place back in October I was really impressed with how delicious the burgers were! My favorite on the menu was the Cadillac Grilled Cheese and the loaded fries. Fast forward to January when I went back. Granted the ice storm had hit 3 weeks prior, but I found it unreal that they were still out of almost everything on the menu. I ordered the Cadillac Grilled Cheese and instead out came a small hamburger bun with a slice of poor man’s excuse for american cheese. The waitress you could tell was embarrassed and comped our entire meal. Went back one final time late February and were give a paper menu with only 3 items on the menu. Husband and I took one look at it and said no thank you and left. It’s a shame that bad management turned an once really good spot into a terrible establishment that now is out of business.

I have gone here a few times over the last year or so. Mostly because I wanted this place to be good, needless to say I was wrong almost every time. I told my wife that we are not going back unless it closes and becomes something else. Over the last few months I have been seeing posts on Facebook and Twitter and that is something that I had never noticed before. I started to follow the posts and see all the new beers, events and from pictures staff. My wife and I went in before an FC Dallas game and met GM Brandon, instantly I knew he was the reason for the change. I met Brandon about a year ago at another bar when he was GM there and saw what he did. I am happy to say that we had a great time. The food was good, beer was great and the service was great. For such a busy night we had no issues. Not sure if it’s the same owner or not but whoever hired Brandon and the rest of the staff made a good move. We found our new home for all the FC Dallas games.

So I really wanted to love this place after hearing about some blue cheese fries. But they were just ok. And so was everything else. First, we went on a day that there was an ice storm outside. So the waitress might not have been a normal waitress, I dunno if staff called in or something. But she did not know what was on the menu, even asking my husband to point out and spell the gorgonzola(The fries were listed as gorgonzola waffle fries) The fries that came out were not waffle fries. Just regular fries, could have been hand cut, but could have been frozen. Nothing special. Also, it was FREEZING cold where we were seated. When asked if we could move or if the heater could be turned on, we were told that it was cold bc it was cold outside. Ok… I get that it takes a little while for a building to heat up once you open, but come on, this was at like 1pm. Didn’t you open like 2 hours earlier? Or shouldn’t you have thought about it the night before, that hey it’s gonna be really cold tonight, so lets not turn the heater off? Ugh. Annoying. The burgers were nothing to write home about. I could’ve made the same thing at home. The buns were like bagged hamburger buns that you get in any grocery store. And they don’t have spicy mustard. As a burger place, you seriously should have yellow mustard and spicy mustard available. They’re like basic condiments for a burger. That’s like saying you don’t have mayo.

What happened to this place, no more waffle fries??? My husband and I used to love to eat here. We just had dinner there tonight before our movie and the food was horrible! I had the turkey bacon avocado sandwich that used to be great, now it has horrible cheap bread and Turkey. I could do better at home. Also the fries were undercooked and extremely greassy. My husband had a burger which we both used to love, this time he got overcooked meat cheese and a bun with onions that he asked to be left off. This will be our last time at burger girl.

Horrible service. Slow Coke was not working. They were out of waffle fries — at Sunday lunch ?? After we ordered the server came back and said they were out of steak. Will not be back.

Nothing to write home about, and an overused, tired theme of girls in minimal clothing… There are much better options for a good burger close by.

Not really going back. Walked in hostess told me I could sit anywhere. SAT in the open area next to the door and waitress never came by. She was too busy flirting with all the male customers to notice. To me that was really rude and unprofessional. Pretty much the same as the other reviews.

Located right next to Frisco xd cinema. This is one of my favorite places to go grab some food before the movie so I won’t have to pay crazy prices at the cinema:) I have been in many(very tasty) Burger places but this one I’d by far the cleanest! By clean I mean the actual food. In other places while they were rely good(5guys etc) the burgers come like they just been swimming in oil. Here the buns are down dry with the the prefect amount of oil or butter. Just perfect. The waffle fries are the best I ever had. Prices are OK. Not cheap not expensive. The Turkey Burger is one of the best I ever had. Is very surprised with this place and def it’s on my“to go” list.

After having sub-par experience the first time we decided to give them another try. This time we will eat in not take out. The burger was very flavorful. Will definitely be back.

Just another burger joint — with expensive sides. Whats the deal with $ 6 onion rings around Frisco lately? Sport bar atmosphere, service not as bad when we went as others had mentioned — but could be better(not like they were busy to let my drink go empty). I’ll still head to twisted root…

I have been to many restaurants in the Dallas area, some good and some bad. Burger Girl was by far the worst establishment I have visited in years. After waiting 5 minutes or so, we were seated by a man who looked like he might have been the manager. He then ran off without getting us menus and came back a few minutes later to get our drink orders, which he then gave to our server. After several minutes of the drinks sitting on the bar, another server brought them and put them on our table without hardly a word. I finally got up and took some menus from the hostess station so we could order. Our server finally came after about 15 more minutes and asked us what we wanted to eat. She had no smile and obviously wanted to get the order done with. One of our friends asked her if she could change the channel on the TV to the Rangers game, and she said she would, but never did it. He then asked the bartender if she could do it, but she told him that he needed to ask our server. It took another 30 minutes for us to get our food, which was at best a step above the McDonald’s dollar menu. The burger was tasteless and the fries had the taste and consistency of sweaty cardboard. I left her enough of a tip to clear the tip-out because we had bar service and a few sentences on the back of the receipt with improvement suggestions. We left, and she must have read it right away and disliked what I had to say, because she followed us out of the restaurant and FLIPPEDUSOFF. I don’t know about the majority of people, but I think this is the mark of a really classy waitress. If you like bad service, gross food and obscene wait staff, be sure to check out Burger Girl… if it’s still in business by the time you get there.

Ate at Burger Girl last night and wasn’t impressed. I’d been there before but I remember it being better. Our food came out very quickly; almost too quickly for a burger joint. The patty was thin and flavor was nothing to write home about. The sweet potato fries were greasy and so over cooked it was hard to tell they were sweet potatoes. Giving 3 stars but I think 2.5 is probably more accurate.

This is where servers who suck go to work. Terrible service. Food is marginal at best. The burgers come with lots if grease and are tasteless. Maybe they haven’t discovered salt and pepper. Warning sign was it was 6:30 and there’s only 10 people here. Come back to this location when a real restaurant opens in its place. I actually heard the bartender ask a customer«What goes good with vodka?» As for the person that stated people only come for the hot waitresses. Raise your standards of what is hot. If Twin Peaks with actual hot staff couldn’t make it in this location then this place with its staff has no chance. The real trick is to become a regular here. Oh, they don’t eat the food, they know better, but they get free beer. I watched the bartender give out free beer to her friends the entire time I was there. She was spot on in charging me for my three. Never even touched the register when a friend ordered another round. If you are brave and have an iron stomach, this might be your place. If you enjoy food and good service, then heed the warnings of myself and others and stay away.

This place is for regulars who come in to stare at underage girls. Food is almost inedible. Grilled Cheese is a grease soaked nightmare. The burgers are thinner than McDonald’s. Weakest beer selection ever. The only thing I had there worth eating was the Gorgonzola waffle fries. Probably the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to.

So. I’m nowhere near from frisco, and after a long period of working, I was hungry… I asked a coworker for some insight on where to eat and she said«try burger girl» Lemmmme tell ya! I asked the cute waitress, Kelly, which to choose –grilled cheese n bacon –Philly –turkey burger She said turkey burger without the question even going to the back of her brain for the info! So being as gullible as I am. I said lets do it! I got it on a white bun instead of wheat and mayo instead of dijon(yuck) and a side of fried pickles. It takes a lot of courage for me to try new turkey burgers because I don’t eat beef.(Hindu) so here’s a play-by-play on my first bites. –I picked up that boy and took a bite as If I had never eaten before(that’s how hungry I was) and it was juicy and flavorful! What’s more to look for?

Mmmmm. I have never been so happy with a groupon EVER. The price points here are more than reasonable and you get HUGE portions for your money. I also just loved their food, and their wait staff, and their bartenders. This is a place you could just hang out and have a blast and good food. To break it down, we started with the potatoes gorgonzola which is such a genius concept for an appetizer I can’t believe I’ve never had it before. We were fighting each other for the last few bites. Then the burgers came out, and you better bet I couldn’t pass up an opportunity for the«hangover burger». An egg, on a burger? Puh-lease you better give it to me. And boy was it GOOD, messy and gooey but so very very yummy. Hubby had the sliders which he loved and my friend had the turkey burger which she said was probably the most flavorful turkey burger she’s ever had. I cannot wait to go back again and just hang out, new happy hour location? It just might have to happen.

Best place to get a sandwich and a beer? Probably not, but the price is right, the food is descent and the service is friendly! I will happily return again; especially for the tomato soup! Since my first attempt to write this review a couple of weeks ago, I have since been here again… some general points: –fairly small bar and seating area but found a seat the bar with no issues –super friendly bartenders –loud, so hard to have a conversation –small(ish) menu, but good options –good happy hour deals on beer — $.99 –adult milkshakes — yum! –cottage cheese as a side dish ?? Both my Saturday night and Tuesday night experiences were similar — descent size crowd, and friendly service. Visit #1 — The lettuce cups(with chicken) were a good portion and satisfying but skip the sweet potato fries. Soggy and just not good. The Waffle fries are a solid choice. My hubby had the turkey burger dressed like the turkey club — he loved it! Ended our meal with a shared Bourbon milkshake = vanilla ice cream and bourbon. The adult milkshake menu items appeared to sweet for my taste — I created my own :) Visit #2 –fried pickles to start were great; crispy and perfectly seasoned. My dinner included a grill cheese(sans bacon) with tomato soup. The sandwich was a bit greasy and didn’t have a lot of taste but the soup was really good. I would skip this sandwich next time but definitely add the soup to my next meal. My hubby had the fish sandwich — he said it was good but has had better. The fish was not overly fried and greasy so that was a bonus! Of course we ended with a Bourbon milkshake :)

Pros: –The fries. Arguably the best in Frisco/Plano/N. Dallas –The burgers, patty melt, and tacos are super delicious. –Kids menu is good too– kids wanted to come back here today. –Great attitudes out of the employees. –Lots of plasma TVs around. –Kid friendly Cons: –Despite a server and a manager taking care of our table, order was messed up yet again. And drinks went empty. –Corn dogs came out burned last week; undercooked this week. Still, 4 stars since the fries and food are really that good. Plus, what burger n bar joint sells a Hangover Burger, with a fried egg on top?

Great burgers and many other options. They have chicken and turkey burgers. They have quite a few varieties of cheese and all the fixins. The burgers came with fries. I would suggest getting them loaded with cheese and bacon. There staff was very friendly and the prices were more than reasonable. My only complaint is that they did not have brewed ice tea, only that fountain machine crap. It is hard to find places with good iced tea anymore. It either tastes old or it is the instant junk. Why even bother if you can’t make the time to brew it. Guess I will have a beer or an adult shake next time. Edit: Went back on 10⁄27 and they now have Brewed tea. My only complaint has been fixed. Hooray. Upgrading my rating. from 4 to 5.
