Great place! Had the chicken strips with fries & Cajun sauce was delicious! Cold liquor on tap & cold beers! Great place to watch the games or hangout! can’t wait for it to be warmer outside to enjoy the patio! Come on summer!

Tried it again tonight since it reopened with my husband… Service was ok, we got the wings, chicken strips and pulled pork sliders all of which tasted worse than frozen food! I don’t complain ever, and it’s not the servers fault their food is bad. I literally ordered wings to go from The Londoner while we waited for our check because I was still hungry and love the wings at The Londoner. If you go, do not order those foods, you will be disappointed. Needless to say, won’t be going back until we hear any information about a menu change on top of the menu just recently being changed.

Consider yourself warned before you spend money on this place. There is nothing good about this place. The bartenders do not know how to poor a beer. Charge you $ 6 for a beer full of head. Pulled pork nachos come on potato chips with what looks like frozen pork and has a combo of canned cheese and fresh cheese. Absolutely disgusting. The«sangria» that they charge $ 7 for is just watered down fruit juice. Burgers are frozen patties. Will never go back and hope they shut down faster than burger girl so something better can move into it’s place. Only reason they had business today was due to the FC Dallas game.

My boyfriend and I came and checked out Ace’s and we really enjoyed ourselves. The staff was so friendly and attentive. Great service Great drinks and Great atmosphere. It’s patio weather in our great state and I’m ready to go back for more drinks and to hang on the patio.

Closed again! Phone disconnected. Looked like a cool place when we tried it, but food was awful and lousy selection of beverages. Staff was slower than slow. Waited an hour for our food and it was so bad we left. Not surprised they closed.

We went there twice. Food was ok, service was the same. I guess that’s why they are CLOSED!

Awful, absolutely awful. Service was incredibly slow and no one was there. Brought out wrong orders to two people in our party and then a third entrée was brought out 5 minutes later than everyone else. They have made it worse!

I thought this place was recharging? They should pull the plug because it used to have more variety in the menu and heart. Where are the bacon wrapped wings and where did the service go? The owner should take some ownership! There isn’t any creativity in the menu. Also, the«breastraunt» vibe isn’t very family friendly! Wish they would put a little more heart into this restaurant like they use to.

Ace’s is re-opened and our lunch group of eight unanimously agreed it was the worst restaurant experience we’ve had in years. The old Ace’s that closed a few months ago, despite its so-so service, served food that we all agreed was outstanding and well ahead of most, if not all, of its Frisco Square competition. As cheesy as the«Chef Driven» sign was you could taste that an expert designed the menu and that person must have cared about quality and impressing the customer. We were only there once before it closed but because of that one experience we kept tabs on the website and Facebook to look for any signs of a possible reopening. Despite out excitement and high hopes with the re-opening, we left disappointed and angry. Issues were as follows: 1) It took 20 minutes for someone to take our orders.(We were the only group in the restaurant.) 2) It took an additional 40 minutes for food to start coming out. It took an additional 15 minutes for all food orders to arrive. Drink refills were sluggish, so it was a thirsty wait as well as a long one. 3) The staff, including and especially managers, were apathetic to our presence which was strange. A grand opening is normally an opportunity for a restaurant to put their best foot forward to convert curious first time guests into repeat customers who also then generate positive word of mouth. Instead, the apparent manager seemed lost in his iphone and uninterested in greeting us, much less helping to solve or apologize for the rapidly accumulating issues. 4) The new menu has less variety and removed most, if not all, of the interesting and creative items. The new Ace’s food concept seems to be «the most common textbook definition sports bar fare», with almost nothing to set it apart from numerous sports bars in the area(even within walking distance). To be fair, simplifying a menu could be a good thing if the goal is to raise quality, but read further… 5) In a telling sign of new management’s shifted priorities: the number of TVs on the walls appear tripled, the once open kitchen is now walled off, and the nearby«CHEFDRIVEN» sign is gone. 6) Most unforgivable by far: the food was horrible. Orders were incorrect, cold, lacking flavor and seasoning, presented sloppily, and/or overcooked. The burgers particularly exemplified the poor quality with dry, flavorless patties that resembled something you’d see in a high school cafeteria. One of us sent the food back and left to eat elsewhere. Ace’s: we want you to improve because we want high quality lunch options nearby. Please figure out what needs to be done to stand out from the competition. There is no lack of sports bars with flat screens covering the walls and serving crappy food, with yours now being the most crappy. There is opportunity to stand out by being the sports bar with high quality food.

Finally they made the right decision. Hopefully a better place to eat will open in this location.

Went to Ace’s before an FC Dallas game in October. Lots of TVs everywhere, which was important because we needed to watch the Cowboys game! This restaurant is right next to the stadium and perfect for a «before the game» meal. For appetizer, we got the Texas egg rolls, which featured pulled pork and Chipotle mayo dipping sauce. Delicious! We got an order of buffalo chicken wings which were deep fried to perfection and coated with Buffalo sauce. Very good! We also got an order of Ratatouille because Ratatouille is a favorite movie of ours and everyone was curious about what real Ratatouille is. And it was good(For veggies :)) For my entrée, I ordered Texas fish and chips, which was a HUGE piece of fish that has been battered and fried. It came with tarter sauce and fries. The portion size was a little bigger than I could eat, especially after appetizers. My son got the Pulled Pork sandwich with Mac and Cheese. All was very good sports bar food. Very friendly service. Food came out fast. We also appreciated that we could sit and watch the Cowboys game for as long as we wanted. We were not pushed out or rushed in any way, which we appreciated. Will definitely be back before the next FC Dallas game!

1st time… This is all opinion. There is only one other new place in Frisco where the staff was not attentive, slow, and uncaring. My experience started at the bar where I waited a good ten minutes and no one offered a hello, menu, or drink order. So I waited by the hostess station, where you will find the largest slowest person that money can hire. No hello, sat people out of order, and totally ignored me. I looked around the restaurant and to my dismay everyone looked like they were as slow as molasses. I talked to the manager who had droopy eyes and really didn’t seem to care about the service(obviously). This wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t do staff review and critic work for a living. I will give them another chance, but places like this seem to go under if the owner doesn’t respond to the issues at hand. To have an entire staff that is lackadaisical(with an exception the tall waitress seemed to care and appeared as the only one working). Never got to the food. 2nd time… Tried again later that night to see if somehow the Sunday crowd overwhelmed them. I found some of the regulars from other restaurants and bars from Frisco trying out the place and sitting at the bar. Well still no warm welcome. Finally got a beer and asked the locals if they would be coming back and they said no. Tried to get food again, but it was clear this place has some issues. 3rd time… Wow an update. Tried to go to this place the 3rd and last time. Totally ignored, the management and staff are inept. After waiting 5 min at the bar with a hello, or «I’ll be right with you» when the bar is completely empty but 2 customers I walked out. the 2 other customers must have been more important. I cannot believe this place is still in business. They totally suck!!!

Got food poisoning out of this place! They said the general manager was going to call me back to discuss and also wanted to talk about the ER bill for my daughter. There was a total of 3 of us that ended up getting sick. Plates were dirty and so was silverware! Never going back! –just received an email stating that he would only pay for lunch… never going back to aces!

Well, twice to Aces and twice I have left without being served. The first time I went to try Aces was for lunch. Sat at the bar for 18 minutes. No one acknowledged me. No one said hello. No one said I will be right with you. The bartender walked past me 4 — 5 times and nothing. So I left. The manager asked how my lunch was in the way out. I shared my experience and left. Tonight we walked in, patio had many open tables and a couple inside. It was before an FC Dallas game, so understandably they were busy. Asked for a table for 4 and they said a 30 minute wait. They said even though they had open tables they were not sitting anyone because they didn’t want all of the food orders going in at once. Being a restaurant next to the stadium, they should be prepared for game nights. I understand a wait because there are no tables, but a wait with 20−25% of you’re tables open??? Disappointed.

If you haven’t been here in a while, come back. The food of course has never been the problem, it’s always great, but it was some of the service. Fortunately it seems that those issues have been corrected. Of course if there is an FC Dallas game, be patient because this place is going to be packed! The food and atmosphere is great. They even have purse hooks for the ladies at the bar and outlets with USB chargers for phones. Make sure and try the Mac and cheese, churros or some cheesecake! The burgers rivals Kennys Smokehouse which if you’ve been there, you know how good their burgers are so that says a lot. So if you came here once some time ago I encourage you to come back and give it another chance. It has become our go to place!

I made my first visit to this bar after the FC Dallas game this weekend. We were able to walk to it from the west entrance. There weren’t many people there but that meant there was no wait. It was really clean and there were several big TVs. In the front was a large bar area with several large high top tables. This area took up almost half of the restaurant. We had a few appetizers bs drinks but nothing special. The food was your typical bar food. The wait staff were nice but they were clearly bored. For the type of restaurant/bar it is, I’m surprised that the bathrooms were really gross, almost an after thought. I personally wouldn’t choose to come here again but only because there wasn’t anything special. I think that the location of this bar is the only thing it has going for it or it is were the locals gather.

They did a great job with this space, however they forgot to add outdoor TVs(my BIL was told earlier this month that they are on order, but with the great patio weather I question why nobody ran down the street to Costco and put something up. So they may have some up by now). There is a nice big bar inside with plenty of TVs to catch the games on. Service was decent; we were there on a slow afternoon on Good Friday, so it’s hard to judge. The food was good. There is a good variety of apps and we liked the texas egg rolls with bbq pork. The burger was good and there’s plenty of great food to share. I’ll be back to drink out on the patio and munch on some apps with friends.

Welcome the new kids on the block. Really enjoyed our visit to Ace’s. We were seated relatively fast given the post FC Dallas crowd was falling in after the sad loss we just had. We ordered a bottle of Cab and when we finally got the bottle it came with no glasses. Which was a bit comical to me. But the waiter and the manager were quick to get things rectified. We ordered the buffalo and the Ace’s BBQ wings. They were both really good. The buffalo had a bit of a kick to them. While the Ace’s BBQ had a mild sweetness. Enjoyed them both. The wait staff, hostesses and the manager were all super nice. Everyone played their part to try and make our experience pleasurable. I will definitely be back after the next FC Dallas game.

what an amazing experience we had here! Their drink menu is awesome and I love the creativity behind each and every drink and even entrée name! I decided on a shot and beer, it was bourbon with Blood Honey beer. It was perfection! My friend got a rose drink and it tasted like rose and I loved the color and flavor of it too! They had a variation of a moscow mule called a Beaumont mule — also very good! We shared the chicken and waffles and also got the Shrimp Po Boys — blackened. I love for the po boy you can decide on fried, grilled, or blackened! Normally they only have fried! They have a variety of sauces to choose from but my favorite was the blackberry BBQ. It had a nice kick to it and I couldn’t stop dipping my steak fries in that. I have had a few chicken and waffles but I have not gone to places that are famous for it… with that in mind, I have to say that this was the best I have tasted. The chicken was perfectly crisp and it also had the best seasoning on it, again this had a nice heat to it which I loved because you have the spice and savory and then the waffle dipped in the vermouth maple syrup — Pure perfection! It looks like initially when they opened they had a few hiccups which is like any other restaurant when they first open… but I am glad I checked this place out and if you are in the area you must try it out!

I love the revamped space and unlike other reviewers we had decent service and enjoyed the food. The interior is large offering plenty of tables and booths as well as bar stools. The décor is very masculine and has that«garage» feel. Unsure if it felt warm but I liked it nonetheless. There are also several tables on the patio. We opted to sit outside since the weather was gorg and I felt the patio was well done and I can see myself going back for some bevis out there. The menu has a good variety of apps, entrees and sandwiches. The entrees seemed a tad pricey for an afternoon lunch but idk. There is also a full bar and loads of beers on draft. We ordered the burger(with American and fried egg) and the pulled pork sandwich. We swapped out rings for one order of fries since both came with those and that was no issue(and no up charge as it turned out). I liked both and would gladly order either again. The rings and fries were also flavorful and cooked perfectly. The presentation on each plate was cute. Served on a mini cast iron pan and a charred jalapeño speared through the sandwich. I liked it! All and all a good experience. Food was good and the beer was cold. We will definitely be back!
