This place is a mixed bag– weird crowd– from business peeps upstairs in suits to a dirty hipster at the bar with headphones on; the drinks were pretty good but the food was terrible. We tried the calamari, pot stickers, and meatballs. I wouldn’t touch the pot stickers because the sauce on the plate literally looked like diarrhea– not even kidding– my brother said the same thing. Meatballs weren’t bad but definitely not the best I’ve had and the calamari was not as crispy as I like and I hate when«whole bodies» are in the mix! Eww! Maybe they think if you drink enough, you won’t notice how awful the food tastes. We sat by the front door and the flies were horrible– house flies AND fruit flies! The table next to us was complaining about how bad they were as well. They should really consider some type of pest control. IMO: This is a «come for the drinks only» kinda place.

We’ve been here twice, and both times have been wonderful. The first time was in April after my husband and I got married, we decided to give it a try bc we didn’t have our son. We had chicken nachos and the shiner key lime dessert they have. Both amazing. My husband had a strawberry margarita that was good too. It’s a little bit pricey but it’s not horrendously expensive. We went today because I had a free app coupon. We also had our toddler. Again chicken nachos. And this time tried the tempura shrimp as well. They brought my sons drink in a kids cup, but I didn’t ask for a kids menu so I’m not sure if they have them. The shrimp was awesome and the dipping sauces it came with were good too. All in all we loved it and will definitely come back again.

Love this place! Just ask for Christopher. He’ll give you excellent service. The diva martini and the berry mojito are excellent.

This was my first time in. Both my hubby and friends have been before and I received mixed reviews, so I went in with an open mind. This spot it located in the new Baybrook Mall so there is plenty of parking and valet is now an option. There is open seating here, so if you have a large party or just a few friends, there are options for seating. Our group was able to grab a table for 6, which could also be used as a common seating table. There is outdoor seating too and the common space outside the restaurant is nice and new. The waiter was attentive and patient, as they have a decent sized menu and there were some appealing options. I had a B-52 Wheat IPA on draft, one of my favorite beers and their beer /drink selection was great. We skipped appetizers and I had the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread. It came out hot, melted cheese and good buffalo flavor to it. Serving size was perfect for one hungry person or friends to split. My hubby opted for the brisket sliders– but beware, you have to be 21 or older to order them because the sauce contains liquor. The tatertots were crispy and delicious too. The atmosphere is that bar /restaurant combo vibe. The place was clean, but I have to complain about the lack of toilet paper in the lady’s restroom– you know Saturday night is going to be packed so make sure you have someone to check the bathrooms and keep them clean and stocked. That won’t keep me from coming back, but I wasn’t so blown away that I would be a regular here.

Id give this place a solid 3.5 stars if i could. Not quite 4. Pretty good beer and cocktail menu. Service was attentive and the place is packed. I do like the open seating concept and they have couches, common tables, regular tables and outside seating. Food is good, not great, but good. I had the brisket sliders, which for oven baked brisket were tender and good flavor. Lacking smoke. Apparently u have to be 21 to order them because they don’t fully cook the sauuce which contains liquor. I do like the atmosphere and its a pretty good scene, especially for the new baybrook extension. Will i be back??? Probably, but I feel somethings could be better. It one of those places where a group of friends with no particular palate for the night can enjoy a fun time together. Note: Ladies, check the toilet paper situation prior to entering the stall.

Trying this place for the first time. My food was great, as well as my date’s food. Our server was great and the view is great. Great atmosphere. Only thing I have to complain about is the little amount of broccoli that was given to me. I only got four pieces of broccoli for $ 4.25, which is a bit much. I got the Fried Louie, which I highly recommend. I definitely recommend this place if you are at Baybrook Mall.

After hearing a couple mixed reviews about this place I decided to give it a shot. I went on a Tuesday afternoon because they have their $ 5 burger deal. One of the reviews I heard was that the service was not good and that you have a wait a long time for someone to take your order, and for your food to come out. However, maybe because I got lucky that day, but our waitress came and helped us the minute we sat down. She was very nice and offered suggestions since I did not know what to get. The burgers took a while to come out but it was busy so I was already expecting it. The burger I order was very good, but really not worth any more than the happy hour price honestly. Drinks were solid, a little bit leaning on the strong side. Overall I will definitely be back here, the service was great but I won’t expect the fast service every single time I come here. It’s really hit/miss.

Bar Louie is a restaurant/bar chain that opened a new location at the expansion of the Baybrook mall. Overall I am pleased of the fact that there are a lot of options for drinking out in the area. This is my second time here, and this review is mainly focused on the Happy Hour deals. The place itself is nice and well decorated. It has 2 floors which I think is cool. We sat at the bar for Happy Hour and I thought they had some pretty decent deals. They have $ 3.25 draft beers and ½ off certain appetizers and flat breads. I was just trying to have a beer or two with my buddy, so it was pretty satisfying. We got the spinach artichoke dip, boneless wings and the fish and chips and they weren’t bad at all! The staff was very attentive and checked on us regularly. If you are looking to grab a beer or two and grab something small to eat for happy hour prices, this place is not a bad choice. And after you’re all boozed up, go buy yourself something at the mall!

Food is always on point… waitresses are nice and fair prices for the location… our favorite bar and restaurant place in the new addition to baybrook mall… This place is also the perfect size… it’s not too big but the atmosphere is great. It’s not overly crowded where u have to yell at the person next to u…

Defiantly not my favorite place although it is very nice and some of the drinks are fairly good the menu is to complicated it’s more of a bar not to great for kiddos. I will say though the waitress and bartender did help us decide on drinks. And the place was very nice with décor an the lighting was awesome. I’d probably go back but definitely not to eat it would be definitely to just drink. Not saying the food and appetizers was bad cause they weren’t it’s just more bar type than anything.

There are two martinis here that I die for… the Dirty and the Effen Good. Their happy hour food specials are great. We enjoy the trio dip, bruschetta, and buffalo chicken. The service is never, ever good unless you are at the bar. We’ve sat at tables for 30 minutes before we ever got our drinks. Don’t get me wrong, we have had great service once we were able to flag someone down, but come on, get your system together. Even when we have a seat at the bar we have to watch people sit forever at their tables, eventually order drinks from the bar and then thats a table lost for a server. Long story short… try to sit at the bar.

The area is LOVELY! I love how they are building up baybrook mall! I like how there’s patio seating! Such a beautiful area. The food was ok, nothing really special. To me, you’re paying for the area. Our server was nice and quick. Would recommend if you’re in the area

I’m not sure why people are hating on Bar Louie at Bay Brook mall. I went there and it was great. My server Jasmine was utmost professional and very help full. The food was great! And the drinks where awesome especially the berry mojito. It is a place where to go to chill and in joy a cold beer some food and to carry a nice conversation with one another.

Ok I’m hoping there aren’t haters for this but I’m soooooooo disappointed with this place. Two, twice. The number of times I’ve been here. Two, twice. The number of times I’ve been disappointed after dining here. So the 1st time we came here was 4 days after they opened their doors, so we gave them some wiggle room. We got the Bruschetta which looooked amazing. But it wasn’t. More like mediocre. I ended up getting a grilled chicken dish that was overly greasy and flat, bland. Erik got a sliders dish and it was mediocre. I didn’t want to come back, ever again. But in a relationship you have to compromise. Fast forward to tonight, aka The Compromise. We got the Bruschetta and guess what… they fooled us. It looked like bruschetta… except it was a salad. So we had a bruschetta salad. Heavy on the salad and light on the… well, bruschetta. And correct me if I’m wrong but one of the most awesome parts of bruschetta is the combo of tomatoes, basil, parm cheese and balsamic vinegar. Oh I still dream of that combo. which was missing in our order. So I get if restaurants want to get all fancy and maybe lay the bruschetta on a bed of lettuce… cool, awesome. Except that’s not what happened here. We got a salad. With red onions, ice berg lettuce and not a bit of balsamic vinegar. Basil… basil…where are youuuuuuuu? Erik got fish and chips. Personally I thought the fish was over fried and the fish itself dry. So let’s get to why my review is written as is… the sesame chicken lettuce wraps I got as my entrée. The description on the menu made me think okay, all the ingredients for a good lettuce wrap dish are there. The plate came out and I could tell something was wrong. The lettuce was romaine, which is fine. You can wrap with thus type of lettuce. Except it was the final innards of the lettuce head. And brown. Yes I said brown lettuce. Oh did I mention limp. Brown and limp are two words that should never be used to describe food. So I wanted desperately to be a good sport and tried to balance the sesame chicken on the lettuce shrapnel, but all bets were off when I tasted the chicken. Overly salted to the point of inedible. And I love salt. But this had gotten to the point of utter ridiculousness and when the server came by and asked how everything was, I had to let her know I was not happy. I don’t know if it’s the cook in the kitchen, bc I don’t think it’s the ingredients. I mean how do you screw up chicken lettuce wraps? Go to Bar Louie to find out. I hope a manager reads this review. It seems im not the only ine upset with this restaurant. I’m so frustrated with the two visits… Erik already knows we won’t be returning. It’s too bad… they have such a great location and the interior is so promising. Maybe they’re better known for the bar part of the establishment.

What’s up with all the bad reviews here? I enjoyed Bar Louie! Located in the new expansion at Baybrook Mall, Bar Louie is a «seat yourself» set up. Once we figured that out, we were served fairly quickly. They have a wide variety of cocktails, but I opted for the Rat Pack. As far as food goes, I had the fish tacos. I love that they came out«deconstructed», with the meat and veggies in a skillet and the corn tortillas on the side, as this helps the tortilla to not become a soggy mess that breaks when you’re trying to eat! Great idea! We did get some appetizers, but I only tried the chips and the trio of dips. It was ok, but I wouldn’t get it again. Our friends got the spinach artichoke dip and also the fries. Can’t comment on them because I didn’t try them. Atmosphere is nice and they even have a balcony upstairs that overlooks the courtyard so you can enjoy some drinks there, too. We will definitely return to try some other stuff.

First time here and I did not get the same impression as the other reviewers. The food was good and the service was attentive. We sat on the patio on Christmas Eve for lunch, since it was still warm. We will definitely be back. I had the BLTT sandwich with tots. Pretty good. I liked how the bread was buttery. The tots weren’t anything special but still good. My mother had the Szechwan wings. Those were good just wish it had a little kick to them. Sorry the pictures were taken when we were half way done. But overall good experience.

Bar Louie is one of the new additions to the Baybrook Mall revamp. The look is similar to that of Tanger outlets where you walk into the shopping area and there are tons of shops and restaurants lined along the way. Bar Louie sits competitively next to Kona Grill and draws in it’s crowd with outdoor bar seating and a seat yourself type of atmosphere. I went on a Friday around 3pm and the crowd was very light. We sat inside next to the window. The waiter was very attentive to us. The food was a 3 on a 5 scale. I ordered the dumplings and the chicken quesadillas. The drinks were a 2 on a 5 scale. They were very flavorful but lacked a good alcohol content. I had two different types of martinis. While we were sitting there, one of the waitresses decided she wanted the garage style door to be open and all the smoke from the patrons on the patio was now in my face. No thanks. Soon a guest seated next to us took it upon himself to close the garage door. Overall it is a very nice social spot. This would be great for happy hour or if you want to just stop in for a bite after shopping.
