I was here two mornings in a row when I was traveling for work. I don’t live in Fresno but was so impressed by their service I had to write in. I called in a breakfast a week ahead of time for a breakfast meeting I had, it was waiting for me and was perfect. I went in the next day and again, just such a great team, great service(lots of hustle), and the bagels are delicious. I’ll be back every time I come to Fresno, that’s for sure.

The servers Kelly and Israel were friendly and greeted us promptly, and the spinach florentine and the poppy bagels were great. Nice place to come have coffee and a bagel on a rainy day.

Ultimate sandwich with pumpernickel was delicious and the service was great. There was grounds at the bottom of my coffee though(saw that in a previous post too).

As a teenager, I would bring friends here for a bagel and a chat. LOL Sounds silly maybe, but it’s something my friends still remember. And I still remember the bagels. They’re big and fluffy and the cream cheese has a nice sweetness to it. The pesto and provolone bagel is my favorite by far. This is a nice location.

Best bagels in town. I normally go for the strawberry or pesto with provolone. My husband loves the lox sandwich which they are very generous with the lox. The coffee there is pretty terrible and the service is always just okay or else this place would be over the top.

If you like your Coffee full of grounds this is the place for you! Told the manager and said it «was fine now». She did nothing! This is second time it’s happened too! Get some filters and a new manager!

Great service! The cashier greeted us right away and was very quick to take our order when we were ready. We ordered the everything bagels with egg and cheese. The bagels could have used a bit more onion, but were otherwise quite tasty. Nice selection of brewed coffees, including flavors like hazelnut and vanilla. I’ll be back!

This place has awesome bagels I was really surprised when my sister in law took us for a quick breakfast. I had an egg and bacon bagel plus cinnamon raisin both were awesome. Coffee was pretty standard though.

This place was busy hardly any place to sit. The food came out fast and it was good. I had a turkey bagelwich. Really nice with egg, cheese and turkey. A variety of fresh bagels to choose from lots of juice, coffee and other beverages. Will definitely eat here again.

I enjoy coming here in the mornings for bagels and cream cheese. but I am disappointed in the quality of their sandwiches. Today, I ordered an egg salad sandwich, and it tasted bland and extremely stale. I asked about it — it was clearly not fresh — and they offered to mix up a new batch of it, explaining that what had been served to me was 5 days old. I appreciated their attitude. Unfortunately, the new & improved batch was only very slightly improved. It didn’t take me long to realize that the eggs they were using were still 5 days old and over-cooked to the point of rubberiness. Totally void of taste, even with added salt and pepper. I asked them about it again, and they admitted the eggs were ready to be thrown out, but there wouldn’t be any fresh ones until tomorrow.(Monday). I wondered why at that point they didn’t offer to exchange it for another menu on the item — but they didn’t and I didn’t ask. It seemed useless at that point. Now I’m wondering if the safest thing to order is cream cheese and a bagel??? I never knew an egg salad sandwich could be so chewy and so bland.

Coffee is good. I love the lox here. Can get busy so it’s hard to get a seat sometimes and it gets loud.

So I have been here a couple of times. I actually really loved their French roast coffee. No complaints there. Their bagels are delicious(I usually order a sesame bagel). I ordered a bagelwich on two occasions and was let down both times. The sausage was tasty but the bacon is that pre cooked kind and the egg tastes like a sponge. I don’t recommend unless you are in a pinch and need something quick to eat. Their staff isn’t the warmest-so don’t expect much-(their demeanor actually reminds me of being in NY) however, they’re very fast which is much appreciated on workdays.

WORSTLOCATIONFORHARRYSEVER. We love the food-not the issue-this location has the worst service. We spent months driving BACK after picking up breakfast for the office(All four or five people would order) and having all of our bagels either mixed up, missing spread or missing altogether! We will not return to this location-instead we will drive across town to another location with better management and service that’s customer friendly to enjoy our Harrys Bagels.

I went in for the first time last week and they offered me their Pumpkin bagel sample. I thought it was great so I asked for it in a breakfast sandwich. Turns out they were out!(Why give me samples of something you don’t have?) So I asked for strawberry instead. Not only did I get something completely different, it was very bland! I called and Claudia, the manager, answered. I couldn’t understand what she said when she answered but she offered to give me a free sandwich(whenever I wanted to go in) and wrote my name down. I called about 2 days later(I work) to make sure I would still get it free and the man who answered was rude! I couldn’t understand him either(it’s like they mumble when they greet over the phone) and said«if that’s what she said I guess» Uhm, seriously? So I go in and Sophia was rude as soon as I let her know the situation(because I wasn’t purchasing anything). Like they didn’t believe me because Claudia didn’t inform them. Now I’m eating the strawberry sandwich and I’m so disappointed. So out of the two trips I made, and the 3 employees I spoke with, it was all a negative experience for me. They all made me feel like a liar and like I was cheating them for a free sandwich! Make the first one right and there wouldn’t be a problem! You’re located in a nice area, for goodness sakes! Be professional!

I just ate what was seriously the most disgusting lox bagel sandwich I have ever eaten in my entire life. The only reason I choked it down was because I was starving and in a hurry but it is worth taking the time to tell my fellow Unilocalers that, if you are looking for a good place to get a lox sandwich, this is NOT the place. First off, they were out of poppy seed bagels and only had plain ones left(a forgivable offense). Then they forgot to toast the bagel, even though I asked twice. What was absolutely DISGUSTING was that the lox was a very ominous shade of dark day-glo orange and was STILLFROZEN. It was freezing and icy and started to melt, making the bagel and cream cheese all soggy. It was arguably one of the nastiest things I have ever eaten. I’m actually kind of regretting the waste of calories but at least it was fast. The only reason I give this place one star is because 1.) Unilocal doesn’t allow zero stars, and 2.) the service was pretty friendly. Lousy at making lox sandwiches, but definitely nice.

During the 2 years I’ve lived in CA, I have relaxed my bagel standards. The bagels here are pretty airy but very fresh and much better than supermarket bagged bagels(ie. Bagel Josef’s at Trader Joes, Sara Lee, Thomas English Muffin, etc.). Anyway, yes, everyone will make a point about having tried NY bagels and how anything beyond the Big Apple geographical borders is a cute attempt at authenticity. A gentleman customer was lecturing an Uncle Harry’s worker in a worldly way about how you will not find a pastrami and cheese sandwich in NY– something she did not give 2 sh*ts about. And another customer then lectured the gentleman that she had to eat a kosher Thanksgiving turkey, which made for a most interesting dinner because all the baking pans had to be brought in but the oven didn’t have to be kosher. But he would not be trumped– he countered that with a lecture about Orthodox Jews paying Gentiles to turn on electrical switches for them on Fridays because that is considered work, and she tried to one-up him with another story before he breezily dismissed her with«Anyway, I have to go» whilst exiting Uncle Harry’s.

The first thing I noticed is that their menu is not very clear! I ordered a scrambler which I thought was just scrambled eggs on a bagel, it turns out its powdered eggs with some limp gross bacon and a kraft singles cheese slice on it. I can live with the fact that I just got some scrambled eggs, but I can’t accept that they use kraft singles as their cheese. Don’t get me wrong I like Kraft Singles and they have their place, but on top of my eggs is not it. I don’t see why it would be so hard to just get some real cheese to put on top of the eggs, because the Kraft Singles tasted gross on it. I basically ate all of the bits of egg that had none on it, because it was so gross. They also forgot part o my order and I had to go back up to order it, which was a little irritating.
