So good! I forgot about this location, went in and had a great sandwich. Irene is beyond amazing with customer service! I hope the owners know how lucky they are to have such an upbeat, welcoming employee behind the counter!

The cashier, Irene, completely made my morning. Walked in and she was just a bundle of joy. Super positive and funny. Wasn’t expecting such an impressional visit at 7AM but really happy it was. Left much happier and energized than when I walked in!

I love coming in here early in the morning, right before hitting the road for a road trip. They get pretty busy, but this place is yummy and really cute. Some reviewers have said that the staff is not so good or that they are rude; that may be so, but I’ve never noticed anything in particular.

Most of the staff is always friendly, one gentleman in particular is always smiling. Great breakfast food and great coffee drinks. Highly recommend.

We stop here every summer before we head up to Bass Lake for the fourth of July. We love their bagels! The pesto cheese bagel is my favorite!

First time here, visiting from San Diego. Recommended by someone who lives here. They are out of everything! Not pleased at all. Moving on now.

After dealing with this location twice I must share my experiences. Everybody at the front counter seemed depressed to be there. The cashier was not very friendly and nobody smiled. The bagels definitely makes up for the unfriendliness. All of the egg sandwiches are microwaved. Coffee is good. This is a great location that could only be better with better staffing.

I really enjoyed this place! We stopped in Fresno for a night, and in the morning needed a quick breakfast before hitting the road again. This was on our way, and sounded fast, so we stopped here. One way I can sometimes tell if a place is good or not, is if there are a lot of people eating there. When we pulled up, it was pretty busy, so we took that as a good sign. The line moved pretty quickly and they got our food to us quickly. They had a big selection of bagels. I got a provolone & pesto bagel, and it was good! Didn’t blow my mind, but was good enough that I would get it again. What was REALLY good was the garlic and herb(don’t know if that’s the exact name) cream cheese… YUM! I wish I had known how good it was sooner, because then I could have bought a tub of it there! They also don’t skimp on the cream cheese on the bagel, which is great. They have light cream cheese options, and also some other baked goods options besides just bagels. I didn’t expect their coffee to be that great, because it’s not a place focused on just coffee. But I ordered a white chocolate mocha anyways. And it surprised me; it was actually really good! I ordered it a little extra sweet, and they made it perfectly. Not too hot, good flavor, etc. They have some outdoor seating as well as indoor, which is good since it isn’t a huge shop. There’s no fancy décor or anything, just a standard small bagel shop. One thing that was a little bit annoying was when we tried some of the samples they had laid out. One was really good, like a cinnamon roll type thing, and so we decided we wanted to buy a big roll of it. We asked which one it was, only to find out they were all out. So why have samples for it out if you can’t buy it? The girl who told us they were out apologized, and then removed the samples. Besides that, I don’t have any complaints! If there was one of these shops near me, I imagine I would go there often… even if only for that cream cheese! 5 stars for Uncle Harry’s New York Bagelry :)

One star for today! Usually like Uncle Harrys but today they get a huge FAIL! Stood in line for at least 5 minutes while one employee helped and extremely slow customer choose bagels. Two employees were busy filling orders while a fourth was re-stocking bagels. The one re-stocking kept looking up at the line forming out the door but wouldn’t stop until she had completed her task. Now we are at the 8 minute mark… two sets of customers left the line and we decided to leave as well. The employee re-stocking finally stopped and opened a second register. HEY! Customer service is FIRST above and beyond all other tasks in the business world! Uncle Harrys… if your employees cannot look up, stop what they are doing and take care of a long line of customers, you deserve to lose the 4 or 5 customers that left the line. As for me… I go there every Sunday. I might rethink that for a while.

I have mixed feelings about Uncle Harry’s. Their bagels are adequate, but nothing spectacular. I’ve had both good and bad experiences with their coffee and service. The sandwiches are also ok. They are similar to Potbelly’s. There just isn’t anything above mediocre about the place except… Day old bagels! You can get 6 bagels for about 2.50. And sometimes if you hit it right when they have too many they also do 2 bags for 1. So on the rare occasion, you can get 24 bagels for $ 5. Take ‘em home, cut them, wrap in foil, freeze them, and you have bagel sandwiches for the month. Uncle Harry’s day old bagels are one of the very few things I do like about Fresno.

First of all the lounge/sitting area is really cute and inviting. I’ve gotten the breakfast bagels and sandwiches here, everything I have ever ordered has been delicious. Customer service is good and quick also !

O M G pastries are to die for. the coffee is perfection. why waste your time at starbucks? why??? this place has a great breakfast menu, especially their bagel breakfast sandwiches. the blitzes are the catalyst for families falling apart(as my husband stole the other half of my blueberry blitz). amazing. another win for fresno. another go-to place for me!!!

I used to love going to this place, almost every week. The last time we went a girl coughed all over my food and wiped her runny nose with bare hands and still touched my bagel, all right in front of me. When I called her on it, she offered to make a new one but I was so sick to my stomach over this, I declined and we’ve never been back.

To start I drove by this place because it has a sign outside for Betty’s. It wasn’t until I drove up and saw the wall behind the counter with Uncle Harry’s. Had a sesame bagel egg sandwich and a mocha. Both were hot and good. The processed cheese on the sandwich was not fab but i’ll ask for a different cheese next time. The mocha was more like hot cocoa than a mocha and a bit expensive at $ 4.99. Guess i’ll need to ask for a couple of extra shots next time. Service was fine and i’ll come back next time in Fresno.

This is my neighborhood Uncle Harry’s, the place I go for my bagels. The hours aren’t long, so be sure to get there early. Although I get my bagels to go, there are lots of people who eat at the store. They have comfy chairs and tables in a separate room, but if you have to eat near the counter, then it can get a little congested. Saturday mornings always seem busy with customers standing around, waiting to order or to pick up. All that business keeps the bagels very fresh.
