This is a cute little place. It’s a small place and has a little bit of everything, but not enough of anything at the same time. Super cute doggie outfits.

I wouldn’t be writing this review, had the post I wrote on Facebook not been deleted. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, that perhaps they would offer an apology for the awful(non-existent) customer service I received. But alas, no peace treaty nor olive branch, so must leave a negative review. I came into the store about a week before Christmas to purchase a gift for my mother’s birthday, as I had purchased her gift there the year before, without incident. I had my 2 year old with me, who I held so he wouldn’t wreak havoc or break anything, I find letting toddlers run around stores like that quite disrespectful. I was not greeted in anyway, in fact, I wasn’t even looked at, let alone acknowledged. The sales girl was far too busy chatting it up with a friend who stopped in than to greet the only customer in the store. As I browsed the store, hoping at some point I’d be noticed and perhaps offered help(never happened), I heard far too much of their conversation than I’d like to expand on. I picked out a couple of items and was(quite visibly and audibly) having a hard time juggling them and a toddler and still, not even acknowledged. I went and stood behind sales girl’s friend, who was hogging the counter, in the hopes that they’d get the hint that I was ready to purchase my items. They didn’t. Apparently her friend’s love life was more important than keeping a customer and making a sale. l set my items on a table and left. On the way out the door is when the sales girl decided to notice my existence and offer a condescending«Have a nice day.» Nice day, indeed. I went several miles out of my way to support a local business, only to have the experience leave a very bad taste in my mouth. I will never return. My only guess was that my clothes weren’t ironic and hip enough, or my knit cap didn’t proudly display the fact that I made it myself or that having children is SO uncool, takes away from all your time record collecting and drinking craft beers. And their merchandise? It’s like a bad tourist shop combined with unoriginal, cheap etsy crap. Overpriced and uninspired. And think you’re buying something made locally? Twee’s Facebook page just recently had a post that said that they were in Vegas«looking for new lovelies for the shop.» So much for local and DIY.

I bought my Mom’s dog some cute clothes here for a good price. All the merch is super cute and priced well. I have yet to see the new location.

great little shop! cute cute stuff, perfect for gifts, and they support local artists. what could be better? this is the kind of stuff fresno needs more of :) i very much disagree with Virlie B.‘s comments on pricing. if it cost $ 3 to make those earrings you bought that means there were $ 10 that had to cover some sort of profit to the artist, and some for the store providing a venue to sell them in(which obviously costs them money in rent and costs of operation) …i would say that’s actually pretty reasonable pricing on their part. my attitude with things like this is, if you don’t think it’s worth it, don’t buy it and make it yourself. a lot of work goes into handmade goods. i am so happy to see more businesses coming to downtown fresno. twee is definitely a place to check out!

My favorite store in Fresno!!! I love this place. It’s a great boutique you’d find in Portland or San Fran… lots of creative goods… Handmade jewelry, artworks of all sorts, quirky goodies from all over. Great for gifts or a treat for yourself! You deserve it! There’s a good amount of locally made stuff as well! The shop owner is very helpful and friendly and makes a visit there a total treat. You won’t be disappointed!

I absolutely love this shop. Fun and unique gifts, great people and tons of community involvement– Twee has brought the fun back into Secret Santa exchanges and birthday gift shopping! Lots of variety and ever changing inventory, every time I go in there is something new to see, and it’s nice to support local artists. What’s great is that whether I go in with a handful of quarters or have a bigger budget I can always walk out with something in a Twee bag! I love bringing in my toddlers and setting them down at the craft table and letting them go to town while I browse– Twee always has some craft project going on and it’s usually only few bucks to make!

It’s a small store that touts itself as local. Maybe mostly. If you like cozy, personal, store, then this one is for you. If you like value, or bang for your buck, then there are others. If you are one of those that want to support local(Fresno) economy, just make sure the product you buy in here doesn’t say Made in China on the bottom. I have bought myself a pair of earrings that was made by a person from here at this store, that is technically«local», but the material was clearly from China. Paid about $ 13-$ 15 dollars for them, which cost the«local» probably $ 3 bucks to make. That’s business, I guess. This place can be fun for some, but not for all. For me, it’s a bit too pricey, and they carry a lot of useless trinkets. A lot. Costume jewelry that might/might not tarnish easily. Way over priced buttons or pins(they sell it for a buck each but its about ten cents to make) and they’re not much into respecting trademarks. Trademarks are not just for big companies but regular people too, who had an idea, drawn it or expressed it– and this store has made it into a button or pin, with or without the artist’s consent.(the pin that has the palomino’s restaurant’s mural on it, I very much doubt that the artist is getting anything from Twee but this store is making money off of it). That’s enough reason for me not to continue shopping here. I have other reasons but I digress. The real cool stuff(like wright brothers greeting cards) are not local and will be more affordable elsewhere. Like everywhere else, it’s a buyer beware.

This shop reminds me of similar boutiques in Japan and larger West Coast cities but with a local spin. Handmade paper goods, gifts, jewelry, baby and dog clothes, and other curiosities. Lots of fun to browse and a great place to pick up a unique gift. Prices are inexpensive and the shop has a certain airy charm that is a welcome relief from corporate stores that crowd everything else out in this town.

I visited Twee tonight for the Fresno Art Hop, and had a great time! Such a cute little spot, with a TON of awesome this’s and that’s. Something for everyone, and you can’t possibly leave there unhappy :)
