Shields Family Dentistry

Shields Family Dentistry is the office to go to get your teeth fixed! The environment made you feel at home and this is coming from a person that is afraid of the dentist! The waiting room was nice and comfy and it’s great for the kids to go as well. The bathroom is clean and the entire office just makes you feel that you’re in good hands. Dr. Edgar D. Roque is the dentist that I recommend for someone that wants a personal, one to one interaction. He explained the entire process with me and was concern about what I thought about the situation. The last dentist that I went to wanted to yank the infected tooth out with the infection still present! Dr. Edgar D. Roque on the other hand said that he wanted to save the tooth and recommend a root canal but I personally feel unsafe with the procedure and wanted the tooth out immediately as soon as the infection goes down. He didn’t push it and listen to what I wanted to do instead of what he wanted to do. Very compassionate dentist.
He was very gentle with me. I can tell that he cares for the welfare of people and love what he’s doing. His main concern was the individuals’ health – not money. The staff was friendly and the dental assistants were kind and gentle. One even asked me how my day was! That was unusual for me. The equipment was up to date and there’s a television in every room to calm you down when there is a procedure taking place. I’ll give this place a ten star if I could. Overall, I’m making Dr. Edgar D. Roque my primary dentist.
