Fried seafood made to order in mass quantities to go at a decent price? Done! Your car will smell like fried fish for the rest of the day, just to remind you, but that’s what fried food does. Fried fish plates, fish n chips or with rice, fried shrimp, fried calamari, spicy or not. yummmm. Oh yes, they also sell fish filets and frozen crabs and stuff, but their cooked stuff is what brings us back.

Great seafood take out! Everything was very fresh and made to order, so you might want to call ahead if you don’t want to wait 15 minutes! Ordered the PO boy with oysters, $ 1 up charge and it was very fresh, delicious and filling! I barely ate half my fries and was full for the rest of the afternoon! The seafood combo was ridiculously huge and the box was not anywhere near closing with basa basa, jumbo prawns and oysters, fries and cole slaw. The slaw was refreshing and light on the mayo! The fries were crisp but under seasoned. Love the asian options, like head on salt and pepper prawns. Will definitely be back!

food is pretty good we usually order to go instead eating there. its pretty small inside with a couple of little tables and a few chairs. my hubby loves the seafood combo and i usually get either the salt n pepper shrimp or the pork chops. both fried in batter tossed with onions, salt n pepper its a little gem hidden in a not so great area so if you’re around and craving for seafood definitely give em a try

It’s my first time here and the minute I walked in, I could tell it’s been a slow day for them. The owner walked me through the menu and was very nice. Offered me a cup of ice water/soda while I was waiting. I went to sit down and she came to me and handed me a take home menu. We talked for a bit and she was so sweet. I can definitely see myself coming here more often!

Deelish!!! Spicy fried calamari. My first time ordering it and love it; hot salty lil mild spice. I would prefer more spicy bits of jalapeño tho. Love it here. Fyi they even take EBT. For ur food order. Thumbs up to those lucky EBT card holders.

Their fried fish and fried oysters are the BOMB!!! I haven’t had fried oysters this good and fresh in a while! I never thought Fresno would have a place with such fresh fish. I ordered my food to go, I drove about 15 minutes to my hotel and my food was still super hot. When in Fresno, I will definatly come back to Seafood in the Sea. By the way, the location on Unilocal map is incorrect, it’s on the corner of McKinley and Chestnut behind the Arco Gas Station.

The service was fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable for seafood. I got the fish and shrimp plate it was alright. The fish was overcooked on the outside but too soft on the inside. The coleslaw was inedible, I think it was old. Though i would not get this plate again, i would go back.

Pretty disappointed that my crab was just deep fried… Plain, no flavor, no sauce, no seasonings. Hardly any table to sit at.

Tried this place the other day on a coupon discount. OMG… so worth it! Ordered the head on fried shrimp(mild) @ $ 12.99(market price) and combo chowmein @ $ 9.95. Total was about $ 22, used $ 10 off and paid about $ 12. Shrimp was pipin’ hot and very tasty! I generally am very picky on chowmein, but here was decent. Ordered it for the kid, but I ate it too! Noodles were thicker than the ones you usually see around, but that’s what I actually liked it for! There were not enough meat in it however so you couldn’t taste the meat flavor as much as other similar dishes; thus, lacking a little flavor compared to others. If you don’t like a lot of cabbage in your chowmein, this might not be to your liking. Don’t plan to order and eat here. There’s one small table that has 4 chairs. It is a seafood market primarily. No restroom available. Lady up front was nice. Man in back did the cooking and you could see it from where you are. The only downside is that I wanted to try the claim chowder in a bread bowl, but it’s only available Fridays-Sundays. I was in on a Wednesday… bummer. I would return to try other things among what I intended to try out the first time around…

Fresno Seafood Co., meet Seafood In the Sea(competition). The first thing I must note is that this place is a little cleaner than Fresno Seafood Co.(«FSC»). While both places have raw seafood for sale, this place seems to do a better job of masking the smell(you smell the fried fish more than you do the raw). The fresh seafood here also appear to be fresher. The lobsters and crabs actually swim around unlike FSC, where they just lay dormant and lazy. There are fillets of fish displayed in a glass shelf; you could pick from the fresh fish and let the owners know how you would like it cooked. The menu contains 20+ items, either a la carte or as a part of a combination(with cole slaw and fries). The prices seem to be around the same, but what really sets this place apart from FSC is the fact that the fried fish are much bigger; I always pick cornmeal versus batter dipped. Another thing that sticks out is that the fish is not as salty as Long John Silvers or Fresno Seafood Company. They also sell typical Chinese food fare: Fried rice, chow mein, and various stir fried dishes. Downsides: No place to eat here; there is only one table. Also, the selection of frozen goods and dry ingredients is the same as FSC; similar brands and prices but limited. Don’t expect a grand olé fish market with state of the art fish tanks and colorful pictures on the wall. It’s located at the inner corner of an older plaza; it’s a few feet from Phở 76 and a gas station. If you order food here, it may take time since the food is cooked to order. Either call beforehand or be patient. Check their menu on Facebook or at:

this little place is awesome!!! first off free claw chowder(yum) and fried crab Rangoon samples AND they make their own won tons bty! i got the basa 4pc fish and chips meal, and an order of the potato pancakes… the basa fillets are insanely large, fresh and flaky and very sweet in flavor! fries are crinkle cut… they tasted fine, but in truth what your really after is the fish, don’t bother much with the fillers. the fried potato pancakes are like little potato/jalapeño coins, tasty. they also have Chinese food, which smells awesome, so i cant wait to come back and give that a shot! as well as some of the other seafood meals like the seafood combo :) tip 1 come hungry, but order on the smaller side, the portions are HUGE as in the takeout container doesn’t close cause its overflowing with food huge. tip 2 they accept debit/credit cards with no fee, don’t expect to eat in, its for pickup only tip 3 they have bottled beverages, and snacks for on the go. tip 4 you welcome for telling about this gem in Fresno ;)
