Rubio’s manager Isaac is the man! Whenever I call for catering needs for my clients, he takes care of me. It’s the most stress-​free customer service experience ever. He even saved me yesterday when I called on short notice (which I don’t condone doing!) for a taco bar. The food is always delicious and the place is always clean. Love giving them my business!

I go here for the fish tacos, and they have always tasted fresh to me. They forgot to put cheese in my tacos one day, so I called in to let them know. To my surprise, they offered a free meal next time for the entire party. This is so unheard of to me and it really is incredibly generous that I almost felt bad for taking it.
They held on to their promise, and upon the next visit, both my father and I received a free meal. And, they were very friendly and cordial. I go there more now to show my appreciation. I love it when a business cares about its customers.

This review is only towards the Fish Tacos. I haven’t tried much else. I don’t really like their shrimp tacos or steak tacos. I find you can find those elsewhere and are much better.
BUT those fish tacos are sooo good. You have to try it! It’s only $ 1.50 on Tuesdays and if that isn’t a deal, I don’t know what is! Lol. My cousin even likes them and she doesn’t even like fish all that much. The fish is so fresh and fried perfectly crispy. It has a white sauce on it and comes with cabbage on top. I love cabbage on my tacos.
They have a salsa bar with different types of salsas ranging from mild to spicy to DIABLO. It does have a kick to it, I’ll tell you that.
Come here on Tuesdays. Grab some tacos and walk around the farmers market that River Park offers from 5 – 8 on Tuesdays. It’s a good time.

THE most EXCELLENT fish tacos ever!!! I LOVE this place!
I usually get the blackened tilapia – the chipotle sauce is creamy, the toppings crunchy, and the fish smokey and perfectly done, although I’ve had only one that was overdone and tough. Their smokey salsa is TO DIE FOR – I put it on everything. And try squeezing a lime in the Coke – yum. :)
All the staff is friendly, especially Isaac, who’s reassuring and makes you feel comfortable. Great place!

Okay. I know I’ve written reviews for this place more than once. I don’t know what’s going on here.
As someone who once lived in San Diego, this place is like a little taste of home. So even though this place probably deserves 3.5 stars, I’m bumping it up half a star for nostalgia.
Service is generally friendly but harried. It never seems like there are enough people on staff actually working. Yet, there always seems to be one person just chilling in the open-​view kitchen area (maybe the manager?).
I absolutely adore the fish taco here. With a squeeze of lime, it is a taste of heaven, especially on Tuesday afternoons when you can currently get them for $ 1.50 each. I also am a fan of the rice, black beans, and various burritos. One great thing is that Rubio’s offers a variety of tasty salads and healthy options. I especially like their grilled or blackened tilapia, but sometimes, the blackened tilapia can be a bit dry (as can their chicken).
Salsa bar is not bad – try mixing the green salsa with a dab of red – they balance each other out perfectly.

They have the best fish tacos ever tasted !!! I love this place always so clean and fresh food. Great service and friendly staff. Can’t say one bad thing about this place love the food.
