Ok so I have been going to Moy’s for a long time now especially since it’s the closest chinese restaurant to my house. I usually get the Mongolian beef which is fantastic. Today a nice rainy day I felt like soup so I ordered the wan ton soup with tons of veggies in it strips of ham, a few shrimp and seriously I could only eat about half the bowl, I also had some steamed rice and appetizer of egg rolls, everything was delicious as usual. The owner has become like a friend she’s so friendly just like the old folks who used to own it were to me. Everything is delicious at Moys i also had the shrimp with glazed walnuts awhile back its quite sweet but soooo good !! i’ll keep going back trying new things, Chinese chicken salad is next :)P hey its not dai bia dang but its also not $ 10-$ 15 dollars a plate this place you can feed 4 people for $ 20, go away full with good clean fresh food.

I was warned. There a few foodies at my job. One in particular is like me, willing to give anything a try. I mentioned Moy’s as a possible lunch stop today, and the«meh» reply should have told me everything. As well as the usually empty parking. But no, I have to touch the fire to know it’s hot(no not literally). The lady behind the counter was very sweet. My order, broccoli beef and fried rice, was meh. Only wish I had tried the Thai iced coffee

The server was so sweet and bubbly! The food was average. We got Moys special chow mien. The cook forgot the shrimp so it was brought later. Pork from pork chow mien was so dry and tough. The sweet and sour pork was good. Pepsi was awesome with crushed ice. Prices were excellent. $ 6.75−775 for combo dinner plates. You get a huge portion.

Panda Express could probably learn from Moy’s Chinese Restaurant for serving tastier, cheaper, and generously portioned American Chinese food. This is the place for anyone in Fresno to experience the run-of-the-mill Chinese restaurant that was depicted in the Netflix documentary titled«General Tso’s chicken». The flavor, the character, the taste, the menu and the look is all what most Americans know as Chinese food in their mind. I would however only describe it as «American Chinese» food because it has no authentic taste to real Chinese food whatsoever, it has a gist of it, but seriously incomplete for a Chinese food aficionado like me. Regardless I am rating this as it is, a Chinese American restaurant on par with Panda Express and thus the high rating for this place. If someone was to come here expecting authentic flavors, I would say«you are out of your mind», because this is the wrong place for authentic Chinese flavors, please either go to hunan or new city for that experience in Fresno. Be that as it may, Moy’s does serve’s up good the quintessential Chinese-American dishes, with such generosity for a good low price, that fits the american taste palate for Chinese food. I ordered the fish filet with tofu $ 8.99, Pork egg foo young $ 5.99 and Char Siu(Chinese BBQ pork) $ 6.50. Overall my favorite was the fish filet with tofu since its silky smooth appearance was really appealing. The taste however lacked flavor and was approaching bland, and I don’t mean it lacks salt, it lacks the umami taste from the chicken broth used, also lacking in Chinese wine taste and garlic normally used to flavor the broth, however portion wise– it was really generous. The egg foo young, was pretty much bland in taste, because it lacked aroma and rich flavors, its tasted like an omelette without seasoning filled with onions and bean sprouts. The pork contributed to no flavor whatsoever. Thank god I added chines and soy sauce. But for american palate, this must be amazing, so I guess I should tone my authentic Chinese palate down and say this dish ain’t too bad. The worst was the char siu because it had no Char Siu taste at all, it tasted like non-marinated roasted pork with coloring. You see, Char Siu doesn’t refer to a sauce particularly, but the final product after this«Chinese barbecue sauce» is applied to pork that is hung onto fork skewers and roasted. Still, there’s a fairly common base set of ingredients including hoisin, honey, soy sauce, sherry, Chinese five spice powder that imparts the ubiquitous flavor and glossy sheen to Char Siu. The resulting sauce is sweet and salty with a distinct Asian flavor from the fermented soy in the hoisin, and a spiced kick from the five spice powder – a mixture of anise, fennel, cinnamon, cloves, and Sichuan peppercorns. None of those flavors were there. Quintessentially a great American Chinese restaurant that probably fits the American palate perfectly. Yet lacks horribly in authentic taste to Chinese food. Although the friendly service, coupled with a clean establishment is quite the draw.

Best Chinese food in Fresno. Moy’s special chow Mein had the perfect noodle: vegetable:meat ratio. The sweet and sour chicken is so tender and delicious. The broccoli beef was impeccable; broccoli was cooked perfectly and the beef was simply great. The pork fried rice was a little overcooked but not bad. They also had amazing service. Overall, great food and I’m definitely going back

I love this place! The food is always fresh and delicious. Family owned and operated since forever and they are just the nicest most welcoming people. The prices are always very reasonable especially for the huge portions.

Not super appealing from the outside but by far my favorite Chinese restaurant around. If you have the time definitely dine in. The food takes a little longer than you may be used to but that’s because it is as fresh as fresh gets. Staff is very friendly as well. Both times I’ve dined in we’ve been the only ones here, which doesn’t make sense. I’ve had the salt and pepper chicken wings, and broccoli beef with pan fried noodles, amazing. Waiting on the chicken wings again and their salt and pepper squid and garlic chicken with pan fried noodles now. They brought out a complimentary soup which was very good.

Was pretty darn good. But here’s why it didn’t get 5 stars. Everyhing tasted fine except the sweet and sour pork, completely ovver cooked to the point that the pork was hard. Would of liked to see more or larger combination plates. Prices where very resonable. Clean resturant. would go back again

What a delicious dinner we had! We started with Chinese chicken salad and potstickers. The salad was light and tasty with crispy pieces of chicken very nice. The potstickers were very very good they were a little crispy and the filling was quite good. We also enjoyed sizzling rice soup which we devoured:). Barbecue spareribs were very flavorful. The lettuce wrap we had was great. We put a little of the chili sauce on it and loved it. We enjoyed some steamed ground pork with salted egg on it. It was really tasty and my 79 year old father loved it. It reminded him of his childhood We also enjoyed sweet and sour pork, fried shrimp and Chinese broccoli and clams with black bean sauce. I know it’s a lot of food but we were there for Mother’s Day and we love to celebrate with good food!

The saying«you get what you pay for» is so true. The food is inexpensive and you really get a large portion but you will end up not needing to have that much food. The food is pretty bad. The orange chicken was over cooked, the chow fun noodles were still stuck together and the fried shrimp is the worst. I do not know what flour they use to batter the shrimp but it taste like styrofoam. I would not recommend this place unless u don’t care how ur food taste. On a good note I give them 5 stars for their fortune cookies

It’s so quiet .___. But the food was great! It came up to $ 17 for two people. We ordered two plates from the lunch special(I don’t remember the names, sorry!) and some egg rolls.
