Henry Madden Library – CSU Fresno

This is one of the most beautiful and stunning libraries in California and Im so proud to say it happens to be at my university which is California State University Fresno Campus. Its aesthetic seems like it belongs into one of the top 50 libraries list in the world and it is apparently is, its on college
top 50 most amazing college libraries, charting at no. 25 on the list. This library boast 4 amazing floors, a beautiful exterior with a huge led screen and glass windows giving the natural light feature to the interior, and a large metal bird nest atrium towering over 5 stories high is the focal point of the library. As a visitor/​tourist to Fresno I would not only be impressed to visit the inside but also visit the exterior and marvel the amazing architecture, and non-​student visitors are always welcome to enter the library and explore during opening hours. I also relish in pleasure that this library has its own starbucks inside.
This library is really big, and for a Fresno State student like me, this is the place I would come to complete my research from Journals and periodicals, have study groups, and also get on the computer when I forget my own. All the computers here are brand new mac’s so its really awesome. You can rent almost everything here not just books, students can rent HP computers, mac books, headphones, textbooks and even DVD’s and music. I do love renting the DVD’s here because its not just old and boring educational movies, they have hollywood movies such as Harry potter and legally blonde too.
The shelves in this library is like magic, almost feels like I’m in a harry potter film, it can actually move with a press of a button. The shelves amount to over 20 miles in length apparently. The Starbucks here is pretty good, not like super good customer service but it isn’t bad, I do like visiting the art gallery that changes all the time.
