In the past year, I’ve ate at Dai Bai Dang a few time and it seems to be getting worse. The food today was by far the worse. My family and I ordered a couple of items and the left over went straight to the trash. The noodles were falling apart, the soup tasted awful and the waiter forgot a couple of things I asked her to do. I get it, it’s a hard job to remember things but if it’s more than 1 item that means the person isn’t even trying. Needless to say, if you want Asian food, make your way to pf changs. Don’t waited your time or money here, I know I won’t.

I love this place! The plates are very flavorful. The cashew chicken, Dan Dan noodles and potstickers were a great combination. They also have a combo dinner with movie tickets which is great for date night. I highly recommend the cashew chicken and Mongolian beef! Every tin we come here we get excellent service and the food is always fresh and hot! This place is much better then any chain place in this area

If you want good food… go there. If you want good service… when you go in tell them you do not want to sit in Travis’s station. In all my years of going to restaurants, I Have never been treated so badly. He didn’t even being my food to me. The manager had to bring it. After that I never saw Travis again. He never came to see if everything was ok. He was busy chit chatting with everyone else. I finally had to get the manager to box up my leftovers and told him I would like to have my bill. He told me he would tell Travis, but as I watched him, he never did tell him. I sat there almost 20 minutes watching Travis talking and laughing and he totally ignored me, so I finally got up and went to Travis and told him I would like my bill and I had been waiting 20 minutes for it. When he finally brought it to me he got real snotty and said he had other customers and I told him I watched him chit chatting and laughing with everyone. He got mad, threw my bill down and when I tried to ask him if I should pay him or up front he ignored me and stormed off. I talked to the manager and told him what happened and that he needed to talk to Travis and he said he would. After what I went through he should have not charged me for my lunch, but I paid my bill and left. It will be a long time before I go back there.

Been here a few times and The restaurant is beautiful and I love my waitress; she’s so nice and attentive but honestly I think the dishes here are overpriced and it’s not all that good. We had the hot and sour soup $ 7.50 which was very bland and we had the sizzling seafood(scallops, shrimp & white fish) which is portioned small for $ 16.50 and the shrimp was very small and jasmin rice was hard(undercook). Come on man… how you gonna mess up on white rice. I try giving this restaurant chances but I don’t think I’m coming back. Sorry.

This was our third visit here. We have never been disappointed. I had the Mongolian Chicken and my wife had Lemon Chicken. Service was good and the food was excellent. The portions were generous so we had some left to take home.

This is always my go-to restaurant on my road trips up to San Francisco at least 4 – 5 times a year. I think I’ve tried almost everything on their menu and I love them all, especially the crispy chicken and fried rice dishes. The plus is their food always tastes fresh and consistent. The service is quick and the place is clean with plenty of parking. I especially like the open kitchen, it’s always a plus to be able to see how your food is being handled.

After walking in and hearing there was no wait and coming back a few minutes later and having our spot bumped numerous times I would not recommend This place unless you want to die waiting and feel like dang. I was told 10 to 15 minutes. I waited 30, walked back in and was told another 10 minutes. Watched my table given to someone else and tried to smile the whole time…

Let me start out by saying I haven’t been to this place since 2008 when I was a senior in high school. I didn’t especially care for it back then, and that’s why I didn’t go back until last night. Now, onto my review! The restaurant is the same as I remember it, although they may have added or changed a few things here and there. Loved the dark, relaxing atmosphere of the place, and it smelled delicious. They have beer on tap, didn’t look too much into it(shocking huh?) but looked like they had 6 – 8 different drafts, some local. There wasn’t a ton of people, but it was a Monday night, so I guess I would consider it busy given that fact. When we were seated we were helped almost right away and had our drinks within the first 3 minutes which is a huge plus in my book. The gf and I decided to get the $ 52 movie special. Let me tell you about this awesome special. For $ 52 you get an appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 fountain drinks, and 2 movie tickets. Think about it…2 movie tickets are $ 24 so you do the math and see what a good deal that is. Anyways, we got the Shanghai pot stickers for the appetizer, and for the entrees I got the orange chicken and the gf got banana beef. The pot stickers were some of the best I’ve had, very large and perfectly crispy. The sauce it comes with is really good too. The appetizer comes with 6 of these things, which I thought was very generous. Both entrees were awesome and had a lot of flavor. I really liked my orange chicken because it wasn’t drenched in a thin sauce and breaded to death like most places. Very good texture and not a trace of fat anywhere. The banana beef was also really good, the beef was lean and tender, and the flavors of the banana and green beans went well with it. The rice that came on the side was good, not too dry and sticky, and the soy sauce they have at the table is lighter than most I’ve tasted so that was a plus. After we got our drinks the service was a bit slow, but I know that wasn’t our waiters fault, he came around a few times and refilled our drinks, and was quick getting the tab and our to go boxes. So good table service, but they could be a little quicker in the kitchen. It took close to 30 min to get our entrees after we got the appetizer. Yet our movie did not start till 8:30 and we had gone into the restaurant around 7 so no big deal. I would definitely come back here for that $ 52 movie special. Only catch is it’s only valid Monday — Thursday and NOT on holidays. But that’s to be expected. Bottom line is… solid 4 stars, solid place, and I’ll come back again, sooner than 7 years between visits.

I love this restaurant and whenever we visit from Phoenix, it’s a go-to stop for food. We order a variety of food from the cucumber salad, crab rolls, crispy chicken, crispy beef, the fr I ed rice that has multiple types of meat. We have yet to be disappointed in our meals. The meals arrive quickly and steaming hot. They are quick to substitute items, if possible. The staff is super friendly. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There is a bar. One can see them cooking the food — definitely like that. Overall, an excellent experience.

This is a great place to dine, the food portions a large and the food most importantly is very good, they have lots on the menu for everyone and is kid friendly. My personal favorite I recommend is the five pepper tenderloin. Very very good. Blue moon is very cold and good on tap there as well.

Awesome food. Loved the egg rolls and the spicy dan dan noodles. I was a little disappointed because i felt the last time i went, the noodles were spicier. I felt they weren’t that spicy at all today. Regardless, the drinks were amazing. I got a cherry limeade and raspberry crush. Service was not as good as i was expecting it to be. Late on drinks and taking our orders when it was dead inside. Also didn’t understand how to use a prepaid card and almost made us late to our movie because he thought there was no money on it when there was.

I wanted to go 4 stars but just can’t do it… Our waiter Travis actually made all three stars happen. Mothers Birthday lunch, after many customary years of Max’s Bistro celebrations we decided to venture to the obnoxious River Park tourist zone. Mixed seafood with soft pan-fried noodles…5 pepper steak and steamed pork dumplings was ordered. Decent quality take-out food served in plates. What are these dishes supposed to taste like, finally layered authentic flavors with indescribable depths and textures with hints of this and that… who knows? It wasn’t that, were the plates emptied before departure… yes sir. The place itself is OK, maybe ready for a re-mod. Very dark and a little too warm for my taste… before I forget, definitely lacking in the beer department and strangely enough out of Sapporo ! Will we return? It may take 2 – 3 months for the sodium induced body swelling to subside… then maybe another visit before placement on the RIP list…

The hostess working today is just a doll. Didn’t catch her name but such a sweetheart. We’ve had the same food server before and he’s great. All of the employees are so friendly and attentive. I recommend the tempura veggies and orange chicken. Excellent???

It has been many years since we have been here. Arrived on a Monday evening and it was about a 5 minute wait for outside but the inside was pretty much empty, one or two tables being used. Service was good but the server didn’t fully understand what we meant when we asked if it was family style. He said yes but it really isn’t. The chow mein was. We prefer family style so we each ordered something different, asked for a couple of extra plates and made it that way. Food was mediocre at best. Main problem being the noodles. Very mushy. The different meats were okay. Many Restaurant Association awards by the front door, nothing very recent though. This place used to be the bomb, tonight our dinner was just okay.

I have never experienced such horrible customer service! The host, waitress, waiters, and manager need some major customer service training. I do not recommend this place whatsoever. As soon as we got to the restaurant, there was no wait, which my friends and i were very pleased with. The host sat us right away and gave us our menus, we decided on what to order right away. 5 minutes went by, another 10 minutes when by, and I told my friends that another couple had come after us, and the waitress had already taken their drink order. At this point we were getting s bit frustrated, but we still waited a little longer. The host passed by, and I cordially told him if he could send a waiter/waitress to take our order. I saw him go back to the front of the restaurant, and saw him take a party of 6 people to a table, he did not tell any waiter to go to our table. At the point we were really mad, but what really ticked us off, was when we saw a waitress approach the party of 6 to take their drink order. At this point, we got up, and could not believe what had happened. What really made us mad was that the host said«bye guys» as we were leaving, that’s when we asked to see the manager. The manager looked scared, we did not cause a big fuss, and we told her that we wanted to let her know that NOONE approached our table, not even to take our drink order. She did not know what to say, and all she said was«would you like me to get a server for you?» Wow, what an inadequate way to treat displeased customers. I will never come back to this place. I’m not sure if this place is a chain or a private business, but they have major customer service problems. I would rather go to P.F. Chang’s.

I went to Dai Bai Dang with another person and my niece on valentines day for lunch. At first we were going to eat at Yoshino’s but that place was really crowded and the server kept emphasizing how long we would have to wait so we just walked across the way to Dai Bai Dang. They told us that they could have us seated immediately and seemed to love my niece so we decided to dine here. At first the staff was going to sit us at a booth inside but seeing that it was a beautiful day we opted to sit outside on the patio. Once seated our server arrived immediate to take our drink order. However we already knew everything we wanted and just ordered all our food at once. We both ordered a strawberry lemonade and an apple juice for my niece. We also, tempura veggies, chicken gyoza, chow mein and spicy chicken over crispy. we were under the impression that the portions would be small but we were pleasantly surprised when they brought out our food. First off the gyoza was huge and the moment I saw them I knew we would not be able to finish our meal. Everything came out in large portions so we made sure to sample a bit of each dish. First the bad. While the flavor of the chow mein was good my noodle were over cooked and so they were a bit mushy. This was great for my niece because she’s 1y/o and has more gums than teeth so she ate it right up! The spicy chicken with crunchy noodles was really good. The sauce that the had sweet hints to it and this only added to the flavor. the gyoza was really different than what I’ve had in the past but different is sometimes a good thing. The wonton was a lot thinker than I’ve had in the past but it still tasted great and as I mentioned before they were huge. all in all I thoroughly enjoyed it here and will be back again.

The wait was extremely horrible, but that’s expected when you come here on a night like Valentine’s Day. We went in right about rush hour, 6:307PM and didn’t get seated till about 7:45. The initial wait was longer than actually getting seated and having food on the table. The crowd died down about 8 and the service right after was quick and easy. Briefly after getting seated we were approached by our waiter with our drink orders, he didn’t seem too knowledgeable about their drink menu, no biggie. He seemed overworked anyway, poor guy! We ordered the vietnamese fried rice, mongolian beef on top of noodles, and crispy chicken, which comes with a little side of rice. The portions were huge and could easily feed 4 people. My boyfriend and I had enough to take home. Food was great, service was okay. Our waiter finally gave my bf a smile when he handed over the check. first smile of the evening, my boyfriend said, lol. They also have a dinner and movie special as well, excluding sat-sun and holidays. Will def come back during non busy business hours.

This place is pretty much you’d expect from a chinese food place in an outdoor mall in Fresno. My party and I came here to kill some time before we headed to the movies. We were quoted twenty minutes by the hostess and were given one of those blinky pager things. After thirty minutes of waiting outside and watching multiple large groups go in and come out, we decided to find out what was going on. «Hi we were told it would be twenty minutes, and now it’s been thirty minutes, when do you think we’ll be able to sit?», «Um, sorry about that… another five minutes?». In my head, five minutes was no big deal, but the kicker was, it’s Christmas day and nothing else was open within walking distance of this location and believe it or not this place wasn’t all that busy. There were tables open outside and a few inside. If they would have said right from the start that it would be a forty five minute to an hour wait, I would have been more understanding. After fifteen minutes a member of party my went back to ask the hostess about our table. «Just a few more minutes»… finally, our table is ready after waiting fifty minutes! We walked-in and were promptly seated. As we checked out the menu and decided what order, the server notified us that service was a little backed up and orders might take longer than usual. SWEET, our movies starts in forty five minutes and it’s opening day, so looks like this a liquid dinner. We all placed drink orders and one person also appetizer of dumplings for the table, which arrived fifteen minutes later and about ten minutes after our drinks. To cap it off, the food was cold and really was wasn’t that anyway. We slurped down our drinks, paid the tab and headed to the movies. I’m not sure if this place is a chain or a locally owned business, but Dang, Dai Bai Dang really sucked. Hopefully these aren’t their year round service practices.
