Liked this place when it was open. It’s closed now as I found out the hard way. Boo to the hoo. Great bourbon selection and I liked the décor.

Worst Manhattan and Old Fashioned. The bartender was looking at a card to make it and had to fill the Manhattan twice; you should only need to pour once. And when she filled the cup twice, and it wasn’t even proportioned to the cup correctly. She also spilled ice on the customers and took forever.
Though the bartender was nice and people were having fun, I would not order cocktails here – I would just get my alcohol on the rocks or neat next time.

My encounter earlier tonight still has my head spinning. I stopped in for a beer at Bourbon and Taps. There was not anybody else in the place so I engaged in a casual conversation with the bartender. The owner comes in, Pete, I think, and interrupts our conversation to ask the bartender to perform some task. I was taken aback that he interrupted us so I casually asked him if realized that he did so (maybe he was not aware we were talking). He immediately stated that «IT WAS BUSINESS!» So I assumed he did not care that he interrupted us and I told him that I-​a paying customer– was the reason for his business and that he was being a bit rude. Though I remained calm throughout, he ranted about how I spoke to him like his father and that he did not need me as a customer. WOW!!! He then demanded that I leave and not ever come back. He even went as far at to threaten me if he saw me on the street in the Tower District. WOW again! Pete has no worries with me as I do not intend to return. Nor will I recommend his business to anyone else. I also predict he’ll also have no business worries after a while as with this attitude he’ll not stay in business long.

Chill place with good service and nice atmosphere. Terry makes great drinks. They have a tasty cocktail menu. Come here

Not sure what all the fuss is about. Went in once and had a rather bad experience. Met the Owner, who has a bad attitude. Bartender not knowledgeable about the beers they had on tap, and when I asked about happy hour, they looked at me like I was some sort of cretin. Paid $ 7 for a flat pint of beer, glanced at their overpriced appetizer menu and left shortly thereafter. I drive by all the time, and never see anybody in the place. My guess is all the other reviews are plants. There are plenty of other good spots in the tower district where they appreciate customers.

Bourbon & Taps is one of my favorite spots in Tower. The ambiance is great as you have the option to sit in their lounge with friends or family and enjoy their fantastic drinks which the very talented bartender provides. Also the convenience of ordering food from next door is AMAZING!!!

Quite the remarkable establishment. The service and atmosphere is unrivaled, the drinks are top notch, and the food adjacent will leave you with all the more reason to come back.

This place is fantastic. Wonderful selection of all sorts of bourbons, decent beer selection, and everything is reasonably priced.
Barbara, one of the staff, is incredibly nice and gave me several tastes of a variety of ryes before I made my decision.
The atmosphere is nice and they even had some great local art on the walls.
What’s even better, is that you can order food from the new Italian restaurant next door and eat it in Bourbon and Taps, or vice versa.
Overall I’m happy fresno actually got a nice, chill atmosphere to have great drinks in.

Amazing atmosphere, drinks, and staff! Highly recommend. For those looking to have a few drinks with friends or a full meal. Food can be ordered from restaurant next door and enjoyed on bar side if looking to keep things casual. Wide selection of bourbons, whiskey, and scotch.
