I would of given them no stars but I have to give at least one. Terrible service we took my engagement ring to them to fix since my diamond was a little loose. Finally after them fixing my center diamond I am now missing another stone cause of them!!! They didn’t even let us know that they made a mistake and they were going to let us leave without letting us know they lost a stone !!! Super shady!!! Will never go back here very disappointed.

I am new to the area and ordered a nice 18K gold engraved wedding band from this jeweler. After getting sized and giving a deposit, the salesman at the store whose name is Eric said it would be 2 weeks to get the ring. Two months later and after repeated calls the ring finally shows up. It is the wrong size. I agreed to have them re-​order the ring and explicitly told them I wanted to try the new ring on BEFORE they engraved it. After another month, they never called me. So I ordered a ring from another jewelry company. I went to collect my deposit and they said they cannot give me my money back because the ring finally showed up and they engraved it! The staff is not customer friendly and seem a bit aloof in their treatment of customers.

I was referred to this company to work on my watches by a friend. I got a new Omega from the wife for the holidays I took it here to get fitted.
When I walked in the girls made me feel a little below them. This is not what I am looking for in a business. I assume they just thought I was some John Doe walking in but if your running a retail store have the girls or guys smile when approaching them.
I doubt I would come back in.

Ara & Lena own an amazing jewelry store. Not only are they helpful & patient, but you can tell that they truly love what they are doing and enjoy helping people pick out the perfect gifts. My father used to shop there for all of my mother’s gifts & she was always overjoyed by every piece of jewelry he brought home! Ara and Lena will continue to service our family, as my son will purchase an engagement ring there soon, too. I used Ara when I wanted to upgrade my wedding ring that I had purchased from a retail chain. The made a custome change to my current ring and designed it around my wants. I LOVE the finished product. I am happy with what I got and the price I paid. I have a beautiful piece now and I get compliments all the time. I will definatlely be back when it is time for another upgrade!
I was also able to get a battery for my Gucci watch when others would’t even touch it. They were done in 10 minutes!

Not only have I used Ara Karkazian Watch & Jewelry Company, but I’ve sent my friends and family there too and every single one of us has been more than thrilled with the work, the attentive staff, kindness, and time frame they’ve worked on!
It’s been wonderful bringing in pieces of jewelry to have Ara re-​purpose and re-​design and check! A friend had her rings cleaned at Ara and they noticed a prong was loose and she was dangerously close to losing her stone. She was thankful they found it!
Their selection, their service, their design quality on original and re-​purposed items are amazing. Their staff is too. You won’t be disappointed. They take great pride in making your dreams come true for that special occasion — every single one of them!

I walked into this place to get my watched fixed and was ignored by the entire staff. I finally spoke up and asked for help and a guy said he would help me but then continued doing what he was doing and I stood there in disbelief that he was not helping me. I waited there for minutes waiting for him to say something. They were not even busy and the guy could have said something like come back but literally flat out ignored me. I walked out and the guy said «I thought you needed help?» When I told him I was walking out because he was ignoring me, he gave me the whatever look and didn’t care. Total idiots working there that only care if you are buying jewelry. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

First and foremost I want to let all that read this review know that I very seldom take the time and effort to write something about an establishment that I have been too. I use Unilocal a lot, and even though I particularly use it for restaurants, I have found that if an establishment is worth bragging about, I should take the initiative and tell people about it. With that being said, I want to tell all of you that are actually interested in purchasing a wedding ring, jewelry, and/​or a watch, please make Ara Karkazian one of your stops. I had visited probably around 10 different jewelers. Me and my fiancé, browsed all their selections, and though some had more than others, they didn’t have what we were exactly looking for. The service always began the same way, a polite hello and smile, and we would sit down and go over our ideal design with elaborate details and photos. My fiancé and I had looked at probably a hundred different designs, rings, pictures, but couldn’t find one. It became evidently clear that we would have to build this. Building the ring would require some patience from us and the jeweler. After visiting a few different jewelers and getting promises with no follow through, my friend suggested Ara Karkazian (not to be confused with Karkazian Jewelers near Fort Washington), and the amazing work that he does. We have heard by word of mouth from a few family and friends that he is «supposed» to be good. So, we made a visit, and he spent over an hour talking to us on the first day. He gave his undivided attention and treated us like we were long time customers. He sent emails when he promised, actually returned my calls, and even would stay after hours to meet with us when our schedules conflicted. We asked for his opinion on certain ideas, and he gave us an honest answer. He went above and beyond and even had the ring sent to me in Las Vegas, so I can give it to my fiancé for Christmas. When he makes a promise or tells you that he will do something for you, he means it! He will forever be our jeweler and anyone that wants to buy a ring should definitely go and check out his place on Bullard and West. Ask for Ara personally, I promise you will not be disappointed with his craftsmanship and expertise. Thank you Ara for all that you have done, you have customers for life.

Ara helped my fiancé and I design my ring and it turned out exactly as I wanted, and even more beautiful than I expected! He is amazing at what he does. He is very nice, helpful, and honest. Everyone in there is so helpful and sweet and was a pleasure to work with. We will only be coming here from now on to get any kind of jewelry. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK ARA! We will be seeing you soon :)

do NOT shop here. the people are slow, they don’t return calls, and they ordered the wrong ring for me twice! i almost had to use a replacement ring for my wedding! i will never go back here again.

Came in for simple watch repair — new band … Great friendly service!

We used Ara for our custom engagement ring and my wedding bands. It was the most stressful thing of our entire wedding. The rings are beautiful but it took a lot of work on our part to get it done right. Not only did Ara loose 7 of our family heirloom diamonds that were left with him, but he acted as if it was no big deal. He was entirely unhelpful. Ara was terrible at getting things done on time and contacting us, very unfriendly and unprofessional. He would always dodge our calls, never call us back, and their customer service was shocking and offensive. I would never ever recommend anyone I know to use Ara Karkazian. He ruined the experience of a life time for us and we were truly disappointed in him.

WATCH REPAIR REVIEW:
The owner was super nice, ended up fixing my boyfriend’s broken band in a matter of minutes and said it was on the house. I was in and out of the store in less than 5 minutes — really put a smile on my face. Woohoo!

I bought my fiancée’s engagement ring here. The owner, George, busted his butt to get me exactly what I wanted — 1.5 carrot emerald cut. For Fresno, this is as good as it gets without going to the diamond district in a big city such as LA, SF or NYC. I think that is what the other two posters here forgot. It’s Fresno, not LA or NYC. I will most likely also buy our wedding bands here as well.

Very limited selection on jewelery and stones. The quality of the stones and the lack of range in depth of cuts leaves much to be desired for with a knowing eye. Excellent watch collection and they are very knowledgeable about those. However, I would look elsewhere for jewels.
