Since it’s been over 2 years since my last review I thought I should leave an update. This is still my favorite pizza place that I beg the hubby to drive to whenever we get the chance. We just ate their the other day before heading to Kohl’s and I got a chicken tomato broccoli slice. It was just so perfect! The crust was crispy and the toppings perfectly distributed. Also, on a side note. While we were there, we noticed a woman who came in to get herself a slice and a drink. It seemed like she was a regular but seemed unwell and possibly homeless. The staff there was nothing but kind and helpful to her. My husband also noted that although I did see her holding a few dollars, they did not take any money from her. I just wanted to note that great service because not all establishments will have open arms to all or be as kind. Great job to them!

The best. Out of thousands of pizza places in NYC this one is in the TOP5. Any of the negative reviews I saw here are either people who are clueless about what makes for a perfect NYC pizza and wouldnt know what is good if the pie hit them in the face(like foreigners or Californians). Either that or they are pissed off about something else. Like bad customer service. Well guess what authentic real whole milk mozarella is naturally salty when it melts so those people are just used to fake crap at other places that use inferior ingredients and are served by mexicans. As for customer service they all are nice people but this place gets retardedly busy. They make picture perfect slices and use original the old school 70s style original pizza ovens, you know the kind that is nearly extinct. It is clear they use the best possible ingredients such as full milk high quality cheese as opposed to «part skim» and never skimp. The pizza taste literally hasnt changed in 30 years. As for regular food the Mussels marinara or linguine and clams. The clams are huge. Some guy complained they charge tax but I suspect it is because this place probably actually pays tax versus pocketing the cash like most low class pizza joints. Strange only 55 reviews as this place is jam packed night and day. Maybe too many old timers that dont use Unilocal

The food here is so good! From pizza to pasta dishes. The food comes fast, fresh, and so tasty. The staff are super friendly. Used to order a lot when I lived around the neighborhood but I always make a stop when I’m around!

Went there on Saturday night with family, ordered a number of appetizers and a multitude of varied dishes… ALLEXCELLENT. 1– Huge portions 2– food is very well prepared and fresh 3– reasonably priced 4– excellent service and staff is very nice I ordered the calamari, baked clams and spaghetti and meatballs… out of this world… loved their sauce and ingredients were tops… great old school home style Italian cooking like Momma used to make!!! We will return!!!

I have eaten here many times. The guys behind the counter are very nice and fast. The waitresses are very attentive and make sure that you have everything you need. I try and eat slow and enjoy the delicious food. My wife never leaves this place without some tasty desert. I will definitely be back!

Stopped in for a couple of slices, that were dry and not at all worth it… Maybe a fresh pie is better, maybe not, I dnno. Perhaps if I happen to be nearby I’ll try a hero or something… Eh. Not worth the $

I will not be ordering from here again. My order has been messed up several times and the delivery wait is very long. I only order from here if I don’t have cash. I ordered my husband a hero and specifically said NOCHEESE and the order had cheese. The owner told me to scrape the cheese off. That was my cue to never order from this place again. Extremely rude. Do yourself a huge favor and order from Romeos Pizza on union turnpike and 188th. The quality of food and customer service at Romeos is excellent.

I have been here a few times, and I’m never disappointed. I really like their grandma pizza! Also, the garlic knots are delicious with a little side of sauce:)

This pizzeria has the BEST chicken roll~ every pizzeria I go to the chicken roll just doesn’t compare. Its juicy and sweet. Not too much sauce and not too little, its just right. My grandma loves this pizzeria as well. This is the only pizzeria that she absolutely loves and doesn’t complain how its too salty~ it gets a bit busy if you come around 3 when the elementary school across the street finishes but its worth it! I just wish they sold beef patties.

Great neighborhood pizzeria! Inside its a classic pizzeria/restaurant with alot of seating. The food here is delicious and the service is very friendly. Came here this past weekend, had the chicken and broccoli slice while my boyfriend had a regular and the salad slice. We also had garlic knots and a bottle of water which came to $ 12. Such a good price for good food! Everything was tasty and cooked just right where it perfectly crispy. If your in the area and in the mood for some good NY pizza. then make sure you stop here!

I come here almost every Saturday since my son goes to a nearby weekend school. It’s nothing fancy, but the slice is good, Grandma’s pizza and spinach wheel are excellent. Luigi behind the counter is very kind. One time my son was crying, and he gave him an ice cream saying the end of summer special. It’s the kind of pizza joint that every neighborhood needs. I like it.

Hands down the best grandma pie I’ve ever had. Their grandma pie at $ 20 bucks is a bargain for 16 squared slices. It’s a perfect blend of sauce, chunky tomatoes, garlic, parm cheese and basil sitting on fresh mozzarella on a perfect not too thin and not too thick crust with a great crunch. It’s super yummy and always fresh and even holds up well the next day wo getting soggy. Def worth a try!

This is my family’s go to place for Italian food. Staffs and owner are very friendly and foods are exceptionally good. Price is reasonable. Love their pasta with white clam sauce. I am amazed every time with specialty pizza slices. It’s just so good. Only one time we didn’t like was when we ordered carbonara. Didn’t like the taste of it. I am getting hungry and while writing this review and now craving for their pasta. Now you know what I will have for lunch today.

Just a regular local pizzeria in the neighborhood that many people may not even know about. We come here because it’s the closest pizzeria/restaurant within walking distance from us. It’s a good place to grab a quick bite or to bring home food for lunch or dinner when staying in. We typically don’t stay and eat in. I recommend the Grandma slices. Then regular pies are just okay. They also have tons of options for finger foods. We have had the mozarella sticks, spinach pie/pinwheel, and the pasta is okay as well topped with lots of cheese. They close early, so have a backup plan if you are looking to have food late at night.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Food is always delicious, prices are very low. Off the beaten path, so it’s a well kept secret… But worth your while to come. Closes early, not a late night place. I’ve had almost everything on their menu and never had anything but a great meal.

*** RATING4.5STARS *** Was craving Italian food for dinner & found this place via google. Phoned in the order(for pickup) & spoke with a very friendly girl(off to a good start)… Didn’t know what to expect but it turned out to be really really GOOD! Starter: large salad with house(oil & vinegar) dressing. The salad was very fresh & very good(for just a basic salad). They even dressed it up with some roasted red peppers, black & green olives, tomatoes… very tasty! I actually found myself a little on the full side between the salad & delicious italian bread that they included. And the dressing was good too. A nice mild flavor. Good for dippin’ the bread!(Note: large salad seemed much for 2 people with 2 dinners. Will try small size next time) Main dinners: tortellini alfredo(not something I would normally order) but really glad I tried it and my boyfriend got chicken cutlet parm. with spaghetti. He was raving about the chicken so ofcourse, I had to sample some of his dinner. The chicken was thin & tender. Practically melted in your mouth! The spaghetti was on the thin side(the way I prefer) & the marina sauce was light & tomatoey… almost a touch of sweetness to it. Superb! We also ordered the garlic bread parm which was a little too garlicy. We almost wished we skipped that because the bread they give with the orders was perfect without all the extra stuff. Well, we know for next time… Dessert: two slices of mouthwatering cherry cheescake! Could only split one cause we were pretty stuffed by then! Which meant leftovers! Note: Desserts are not listed on the menu so just ask. It sounds like they have a pretty decent selection too :-)

Good local Pizzeria that we order delivery from when I stay for dinner at my Grandfather’s house. Typical NYC Pizza. Their meatball sub is very good. Pasta is well cooked and they add plenty of meat when it is part of the order. They do put ALOT of cheese on top of their pasta dishes so be ready for it.
