Starbucks

I like this Starbucks solely because the barista, Sareena. She doesn’t try make pointless conversation with me every time I come in. Most Starbucks try to talk to you and ask how your day is. I usually come before class in the morning I don’t want to chit chat. I just want my drink. I thoroughly enjoy that she keeps her work professional and doesn’t ask me stupid questions!

We all know Starbucks. It’s kinda become the McDonald’s of coffee shops and with that being said, I don’t have to explain as much. Even though all Starbucks have their own small differences, the Borg (star trek references) is alive and well @ Starbucks HQ. Just kidding (mostly).
Having said that, for me, all Starbucks usually come down to employees and working environment .
This is one of my favorite Starbucks in Fremont. The baristas are awesome, nice and they still smile when they greet you. For some reason, that’s becoming less of a priority at Starbucks. I don’t know why but I’ll miss it when it’s gone.
EMPLOYEES
But you can tell the employees enjoy working there and are having fun, at least as much fun as you can have while working.
But they are still professional and detailed. Which I find refreshing. I think it must be hard for a Starbucks manager to get the balance between their employees having fun and enjoying their work without devolving into feeling like you’re in a high school lunchroom (I’m looking at you Union City Starbucks)
SEATING
There are a wide variety of seating choices but the long bench across the wall is where most people who are working seat, mostly because the only power outlets are on the walls.
In the center there are. 4 high tables and 4 regular tables and one long table that seats maybe 8 on each side.
Note: it seems like there is a small group of regular guys who play chess but they are very friendly and are not too loud.
LOCATION
Next to the Starbucks is a Luckys supermarket just in case you do not want Starbucks food and I don’t think Starbucks mind if you bring your own snack.
The Starbucks is located in a small shopping strip that also has a few novelty restaurants and small eating places.
ATMOSPHERE
The people in the coffee shop seem to be a good mix of races, ages and lifestyles. I don’t think this is the best place in the world if you’re looking for a date hook up but Fremont is not the best place for that in general. But if you’re looking to get work done this is a good place or if you’re looking to strike up a conversation that’s possible here too.
HOURS
This one stays open pretty late for being in Fremont. Out of all of the Starbucks in Fremont this is the one I like the best.

The barista Emma needs a morning cheer session. She was not very friendly and had a bit of an attitude. She was busy speaking to her co-​worker instead of paying attention to her customers. When I asked her for a stopper she acted like it was a problem to hand me one, she let out a big sigh, then it dropped as she was handing it to me. Only stopped at this one because I was already in Safeway. Hopefully her day goes better & she treats ALL customers better & with a smile would be nice.

These ladies are by far the sweetest, and happiest baristas I have ever met! They are always thrilled to make my drink for me! Maybe it is because I ask for diabetes in a cup! Literally. I absolutely love caramel drizzle! Who doesn’t? It’s so mouth watering. I honestly don’t get to drink Starbucks very often anymore so when I do, I take full advantage!
Sareena and Leyla both make my drink exactly the way I like it which is why I appreciate them so much! I refuse to stop by any other Starbucks because of them! They’re the best and I know they will make my drink just right! Thanks again ladies.

I normally wouldn’t go here for a cup, but since I am waiting for the wife I decided to indulge in a tall mocha.
Good mocha a little sweeter and richer than other Starbucks which is good!

Safeway/​Starbucks kiosks as thrilling as they seem, never seem to pan out. I don’t know if it is the lack of training, a difference in supplies or the difference in the recruitment process but it is a recipe for disastrous drinks at a primo price. Perhaps it was that my drink was too complicated, or the fact that I wanted it in a Venti cup and they were somehow out was the issue, but I will waste my money elsewhere.

I always come here before work since I work two doors down from Safeway! Their employees are always friendly, and make really good drinks. I personally don’t like going to Starbucks in Safeway’s because they often don’t make their drinks good, not this one, always good and never have any problems!

Friendly service and makes good coffee!

Yuck. Made wrong on easy drinks. Disappointment city. I would buy the bottle drinks if you want a starbucks while in this location since you are at a safeway.
