If you scan the menu carefully, you can eat well and affordable here with only a few plate items that are a little costly. But if I want to eat a basic burrito, and it’s certainly an elevation above«basic,» then I believe I can eat here again and again. I gnashed my teeth into different types of burritos, one of them the Shredded Chicken which must have been sliced off a real roasted chicken. There’s nothing life elevating or revelatory here, it just happens to be really good for lunch budget and on the run food. The guys behind the counter don’t hold back with packing in as much meat and goodies onto your plate as geometrically possible. 3.5 stars. #cheapeats

Just tried this place for the first time. Yum! Had the super burrito and I know for sure I’ll be back. Grabbed some salsa on my way out, phewwww HOT! But so delicious. A must try!

I recommend the wet burrito since that’s what we’re stuck on, especially with carnitas or the chile verde pork. It’s got great vivid flavors and is seasoned just right. The owner is friendly, to-go orders are prepared quickly, and prices are very reasonable.

If you want to an authentic family restaurant this is the place to go to the food is great and they have a great combo in the price is reasonable A lot better then Jack-in-the-Box taco lol They make their own taco shell and it is very crunchy and crispy they have a lot of good combo that’s pretty reasonable like I like tacos with beans and rice and tortillas etc.

Often I sit on the retaining wall outside and what I see are highly satisfied customers. I walk to Lucky and Starbucks so that is why this is a rest area for me where I arrange my backpack and carry sacks. That is why I’ve had so many chances to observe this establishment.

Very solid Mexican food — the shrimp a la diabla is my favorite dish and it is actually quite spicy! The beans and rice are also good which is an important marker of the quality of the food. If you don’t have good beans and rice, then you shouldn’t be in business as a Mexican restaurant. Definitely the best Mexican restaurant in this part of Fremont.

Great place to have quick and tasty food customized to your tastes. Chicken is all white meat and grilled fresh in front of you upon ordering, my wife enjoys their Chilli Relleno Burrito(not on their menu) but quit good.

Look no further. This is hands down the best Mexican joint in Fremont. Angled in the Las Palmas shopping center next to Starbucks is this little slice of heaven. The burritos, the salads, quesadillas, enchiladas and especially the shrimp tacos will whisk you into a transcendent food coma. I crave Las Palmas Taqueria pretty much every meal. Closed on Sunday’s which is no bueno since after church I want to get my food groove on. The guys that work there are the real deal.

This is the best Mexican fast food in town! Inexpensive and distinctive in taste. Not the same ingredients no matter what you order like most chain Mexican food!

The service was fast, friendly, and fantastic. I got the chicken taco salad and it was really good. Our server was on it and we never ran out of chips, salsa or water. Definitely going back.

I should have paid attention to other reviews. Longest wait for a salad. Two families behind me get their food first because the owner knows them. Water has a fly on the cup and owner doesn’t even apologize. Why do I come here! Bad decision pays. The food is okay if you don’t min the long wait.

This is one of the best taquerias I have ever been too. I started coming here back in elementary school when I could walk over… Back when it was called papa panchos, and let me just say, hasn’t changed one bit! Grabbed a super burrito last night and enjoyed every last bite :)

There is nothing really special or anything that pops out for this Mexican restaurant. It’s a good alternative to the fast food restaurants in the same plaza but I’ve had better burritos. I ordered the super burrito, which didn’t seem to have many ingredients inside the burrito besides rice and meat. I also got the wet burrito and that was disappointment because it’s the same burrito except it’s drizzled with green salsa and had a few slices of avocado on top.

My options were jack in the box, subway, or this so the choice was pretty clear. Overall a clean place, including the bathroom. Had TV’s on and since it was gameday for college football, was nice to enjoy ESPN while I ate. The menu is expansive and the service was great I would say. Took me a few minutes to navigate through what I wanted but they were patient. Preparing the food was quick as well. Ordered a super burrito with chicken and guac. The beans unfortunately felt a bit bland, the chicken was quite well done, salsa in the burrito was very fresh, and the guac wasn’t bad. Overall it felt underwhelming unfortunately. It sorta missed a certain zing to it which luckily, was made up for by their salsa bar. Not a bad option if you want a quick inexpensive meal, but it’s not better than what you get in SD as another Unilocaler pointed out.

This place is okay. Very close to work so I’m loving the location. Food is mediocre. There’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to taste & quality. I always go to Taquerias and this is not my top nor my bottom. Only complaint is the young guy cashier. He looks very ungrateful when I come in here. And this did not only happen once, but many times. And also come across someone with the same experience! Customer service is VERYVITAL. A little smile goes a long way!

When I was in high school, this was the place to go and it was also the place where i fell in love with burritos. Now 10 years later, I still go back and even though it has changed names and ownership since those days, it is still just as delicious as I remember it being. Even the taco shops in San Diego can’t compete. I don’t know what their secret is, but I LOVEIT!

This place has had it’s ups and downs, but the current owners are doing something right! The food: They serve authentic homemade tortilla chips for free with any purchase. SO good. I’m happy they don’t give you tortilla chips that taste like they were bought from Costco like some taquerias! I’m a pretty light eater so I really enjoy their child’s taco plate. It comes with a taco with a meat of your choice topped with onions and cilantro, refried beans, and rice. The salsa is so fresh! If I’m on the hungrier side I’ll order a super burrito. The service: The cooks and staff are very friendly, and they cook the food quickly right in front of you. The menu is easy to read and straight forward. In a nutshell this place is pretty good. It’s conveniently located & settles my Mexican food cravings!

Driving home from work and I was hungry as a bear. I was thinking of hitting Jack in the Box and then I remembered that there was a taqueria in that same plaza. I decided to stop and take a look at the menu. Prices seemed reasonable and I decided to go in. I walked in and went to the counter to order and one guy just looked at me and didnt say anything. I continued to wait until someone came to the register. I ordered my food, the guy mumbled something I didnt quite understand and I went to sit down. The place was not busy at all but there were four tables that were not cleaned. I picked the only table that did not have dirty plates on it and sat down. There was a wet towel on it and it was in dire need to be wiped down, but hey it was available. I waited for my food and when it was brought over the guy put it down and walked away, I said HEY arent you going to take your towel, he looked at me, grabbed it and did a quick wipe of crumbs and cheese… right into my lap and onto the floor. Whatever!!! My food was actually pretty good. The beans and rice were cooked nicely and the taco had good flavored carnitas and had, fresh lettuce and sour cream. I would like to maybe one day try some other dishes. The salsa bar was a joke and showed their lack of attention. The containers were either empty or close to it and the chips were all broken when I got there. I tried desperately to lean the container to the side to grab me some salsa. A lady that ate there before me was trying to ask for a bag to take some chips to go and the guy kept looking at her saying they are free… then he said he would get something… her never came back. She looked frustrated. Bottom line is they staff is unattentive and grouchy but the food is pretty good. Since unlike Hayward or Union City that has many options when in Fremont I suggest eating here.

The boy and I went to this restaurant one night to satisfy our Mexican food craving. It’s in a plaza right next to my house — I didn’t even know it existed! The restaurant itself is kind of small, and it kind of had a fast food vibe to it. It definitely wasn’t the cleanest restaurant. Like most Mexican restaurants, they do have free chips and salsa! But their chips were a little on the stale side, and the salsa was flavorless.(Even store bought salsa taste better!) I ordered the Steak Quesadilla, and it was meh-good. I think my favorite part of the quesadilla was that they did not skimp on the meat at all. That, and the quesadilla was still pippin’ hot so the cheese was wonderful! So if you’re looking for a meat-filled quesadilla, this could be the place to go!
