One of the cleanest bakery with good options, decent pricing and friendly staff. The chocolate boba drink was good(they have small boba) and also wifey loved the custard pie.

I was about to head into Starbucks on my way to work, not because I like them but because I can use that cool phone app to pay. Looked over and saw a sign for a free milk tea with $ 3 purchase! That was enough to pull me in, where I saw super cute displays, cakes, macarons(YESSSSS), cookies, morning pastries, breads, and more. Sometimes things only look good but taste bleh, but that was not the case here. I got a mushroom onion whole wheat bread thing, which was light, fresh, and full of flavor. My free milk tea was small, which was totally fine, and was sweet but not cloying. Will be sharing a pound cake with friends later. Can’t wait to go back and try more goodies. I felt this was much better than 85*C or Paris Baguette.

My sister bought my birthday cake here, and it was amazing! She got the guava mousse. Normally, my family gets their cakes from Van’s bakery off Tully in San Jose, but this was a great find! Our family devoured the cake within 20 mins. We usually have leftovers for days to come with a small cake. NOTTHISTIME. It had the right amount of sweetness, and was not overwhelming. It had a great texture and I’m just thinking about it now… mmmmmmmm. Definitely would come back for their guava mousse cake! And probably try their other treats next time too!

I’ve actually never been to this location but I really wanted to write a review. My friend catered cake for her wedding from La Farfalla: green tea mousse, guava mousse, and tiramisu. I’ll have to say that this has been THE best wedding cake I’ve ever had. The cake portion is moist, soft, amazingly fluffty. The mouse is flavorful; none of that«hints of» green tea or guava taste. Both aren’t too sweet(which makes it dangerous because I literally ate like 6 slices at the wedding). For too long have I had sugar loaded American cakes. Keeping notes to come to the actual location in the future!

This is my first time buying desserts here. I came not too long ago to buy some bakery goods for my aunt and co-workers as a surprise gift for Lunar New Year. The interior design of this shop is adorable and the desserts look extremely divine. When I came in, they had already ran out of a few selections. I bought what I could and left. I was even tempted a few times to eat one of the custards because it looked so mouth-watering. I had to tell myself, «No. This is for other people, you fatty.» It was a good experience. I received great feedback on how tasty the desserts were. Surprisingly, for the amount I purchased, I thought I would receive a free macaroon. There was even a sign outside about getting a free macaroon if you buy over a certain amount. Unfortunately, the cashier didn’t bother to mention it while ringing me up and I was too lazy to go back inside from the car. I give this place a solid 4 stars.

The new Cheesecakes are fantastic — Try the Kahlua cheesecake-so rich and creamy! They have Regular and chocolate as well. I’m sure they make other flavors as well!

We ordered a very berry birthday cake from here and it was pretty and delicious! I don’t understand why people bought those frosting cakes from Safeway or Costco that just made out of sugar. I also like their cookies and Takoyaki buns. All the mousse cakes are yummy and not so sweet although little bit pricey. It is an ideal treat to bring them to a party. Next time is to try the macha milk tea.

The freebies were a plus! Tea promos are great, but the tea was okay! The store was cute in ambiance and location is convenient!

Fantastic local bakery, first time here! I sampled a bit of everything because I was curious about the flavors – butterscotch milk tea, jasmine peach macaron, guava mousse cake, beef curry bread, pineapple and hot dog bread, and butter milk bread– Guava mousse cake is fresh, light fluffy sweet heaven with a hint of tartness. Jasmine peach macaron is now tied with rose macaron for my favorite flavor of all time. Butterscotch milk tea has a trace butterscotch, slightly bittersweet. Breads are delicious when heated in a toaster oven!

Changed name recently to La Farfalla Bakery but still the same theme which is taiwanese western style bakery with sweet and savory pastries, macaroons at $ 1.85 each, custards, and cakes. The mango mousse cake was great. The cake was not dry which was a surprise since most birthday cakes are dry as heck. Mousse was super soft. We asked for less sweet on the cake which was perfect.

My family has been ordering cakes from La Farfalla Bakery for years. Best guava cake in the Bay Area. ‘Nuff said.

La Farfalla Bakery has boba drinks(2.85) too. skeptical, so passed. reviews liked boba drinks. offerings: macaroons, cakes, cake slices, boba drinks, buns/pastries eats: pork sung bun(1.55) –bread tasted fresh as did the pork sung crumbs: –not much buns/pastries to choose from, only a few pieces of each –most pastries priced $ 2+, uncelloed

Mousse cakes of every kind(you like Guava?); Swiss Rolls; Tiramisu; Macaroons; Breads; Russian Cookies; and Iced Matcha Green Tea that doesn’t disappoint. It’s a little bakery; but they put a lot of hard work into their baked goods. The only absurd short-coming are their flimsy, crackable take-home cookie boxes. If they are spending two pennies on each cheap plastic box maybe it’s time they start spending a nickel. #brainy

I ordered a mango mousse cake and was very satisfied. The chiffon cake was a bit too tight, but the mousse was very good. The mango flavors come out strong, and it’s not overpowered by sugar. I’ll definitely come back again. Go try their mousse!

This place is great! My family and I have always loved their mousse cakes, guava and passion fruit are our favorites. The cakes are very flavorful and are not overly sweet. Since they’ve reopened and added milk teas it is now my favorite place to get boba. I always get their house milk tea which is very cheap($ 3.25). It has enormous amounts of toppings included. Today I asked for less sweet and he gave me a sample of my drink before he poured it out to make sure I was OK with the sweetness. Amazing service! The new pastries that I have tried are just ok. The toppings are very good and fresh but their bread isn’t the best around. Then again this place is so close to my house that I would rather go here than drive 20 minutes to 85°. Overall, come here for the cakes and the milk tea!

My sister bought a cheese cake home from La Farfalla after she tried it in store, and ITWASDELICIOUS!!! I heard the full cheese cake was not yet officially available for selling yet(my sister persuaded them), I hope they sell it soon because I can’t wait to get another one! It actually has two layers with a little different consistency, and there’s raisins inside. Because of this, I think the cheese cake is less heavy and more dynamic in taste. It is Asian/Japanese style cheese cake, different from what you will have from Cheesecake Factory, and personally I prefer this lighter type. I am interested in trying their pastries, so next visit is in order!

We stopped in purely by accident in search of lunch, peeked inside and couldn’t resist to have a taste. The bakery products are fabulous both in taste and visual appeal. Compared to 85 Degree bakery, the pastries are higher quality and not as oily while maintaining their moistness. I tried several different baked pastries including the Custard Bun, the Taro Bun, Matcha Green Tea with Red Bean and Hokkaido Milk. All were a delicacy with subtle sweetness. The bakery displays are organized by category, pastries, cakes and cookies. They also sell milk teas, so I couldn’t resist. I tried the Green Tea with Coconut Crema with Cream Cheese, which was also a treat. The staff here was great and very pleasant to interface with. My tea was a bit sweet, so I requested to have it diluted with tea, and without fret, she corrected it to my liking. Parking is also very easy, with its location in a plaza. I wish they had a couple of tables to dine at, but there’s always the car or comfort of home.

I’ve first noticed Farfalla very recently when we went on a 41 mile walk from San Jose to Jack London Square in Oakland. I sat across from it while we enjoyed a short break at a Starbucks across and wondered about their creations. They all looked beautiful from the outside. Today I walked in and tried one of their offerings. The Matcha with Red Beans was my first choice. I did not fail here. It was loaded with red beans and just simply divine and most of all its fresh. I also noticed their products are not oily. ie: I noticed less oil on my hands when I handled my food, less oil residue in the bag as well. The macarons are looking too tempting but I’m saving them for maybe my next jaunt here. While paying; the savvy cashier asked if I wanted to try their milk with green tea. I was hooked. The cashier was thoughtful enough to ask about the level of sweetness. I was very happy with mine just the way they make it. This location is next to Starbucks which is next to Lucky’s Supermarket. Being the only bakery/dessert/tea place here I’m hoping this place survives for years. It’s totally different from the yogurt next door. Cute lovely presentation of their desserts and lastly they taste good. Adam bought a few more than I did and fell in love with them as well. He can tell you about probably about four different ones that he tried. If I can make a suggestion, a few tables for customers to eat in would be nice. A sleepy albeit useful little plaza. An oasis for our tired feet. Could be yours too!
