I think this place is much better than the current rating. I think people need to adjust their customer service expectations a bit. This place caters to Indian American community. People working here may not be trained in the American expectations of customer service but are just fine to work with. My parents have shopped here for decades. And now I have too for at least 5+ years. I have compared their prices(on jewelry not gold coins) and they are always way cheaper than the ones I checked. Most recently I saw their prices around 40% cheaper than a much bigger Indian jewelry store nearby on similar item. One of the purchases had a damaged piece of ruby in it. I noticed it only after we got home. I called the next day. They said we can bring it in anytime we are in the area and they can replace the damaged ruby. In the past I have also had them size a ring without a charge. Works for me!

Terrible Service. We waited about 15 minutes for service and left after they started helping customers who came after us because they«knew» them. Ghetto store in a run down area that does not inspire confidence as to quality of the gold. AVOID! We went to the excellent Bhindi Jewelers which is what a quality jewelry store should look and feel like. Bombay Jewelers in Berkeley is another excellent option.

I do not agree with all the other reviewers. I have been their customer for past 5 years. I never had any problem with them. They been very good to me and make mostly any kind of jewelry I ask for example in silver or copper. Well when one is buying gold bar or coins, I am sure no matter where or from whom you buy; that business has to make some money. I do not think that they unreasonable compare to any other jewelry shops in the USA. I love to review but I also like to make my own opinion and so far I very happy with them. Rajkumari

He is the worst jeweler, Do not trust him. I called for Gold Coin market price is $ 1226 and he is asking for $ 1350. I understand they do have brokerage fee which is 6% but he is charging 10% such a shame. I called Bombay jewelers their price was $ 1310. I am talking about the same day price

I agree with another reviewer that this is a rip-off place. I went there to buy a ½ oz gold coin. The spot price for ½ oz on that day was $ 830. These guys arbitrarily quoted $ 915. When I told about the spot price, they did not care. Customer service is also terrible.

This is the worst customer service I ever seen so far. No response even after 10 minutes from anyone. After 10 minutes someone has attended, asked for Silver Jewel, response is very bad. Looks like people need to buy they whole jewels at the shop.

The place is a RIP off, at other places the cost of a gold bar or coin would cost about 50+ on the market price, but at this place it is very expensive(charging around 80+). Also the cost of the gold is also expensive, the staff is rude and non-customer friendly. Avoid at all costs.

This place is shady, shady. Something besides jewels is going on here. I tried to go there to get my ring cleaned and they did not let me in. I have seen large groups of people going in here with paper work in hand. I have seen people trying to get in there on Sunday evenings, late like 8:30 pm. Why do you need to go to the jewelery store at that time?
