I was very pleased with the offering this shop had… think industrial meets antique… and very unique!
When shopping décor, I rarely pick anything up, or fall in love. I did here. I was accompanied on the Niles Home Tour day by my Darling Niece… as a resident she agreed it is one of her all-​time-​favorites too!
Fast forward to our families Solstice Celebration… yes, you read correctly, we celebrate the Winter Solstice.
Said Niece presented me with the gift of two realistic metal mice (love their tails!) as a very generous hostess gift. I had admired them when we were in…
Totally delighted and surprised, thank you my sweet… I love them!
Shop gets my *best-​of-​the-​best* ratings!

A simply wonderful store with very special antiques and enchanting, vintage feeling new items-​not your run of the mill stuff at all, and always charming at every holiday. I bought my brother a simply fabulous pillow last Christmas that is indescribable-​combining new and priceless antique components. They also carry a great line of artisan soaps that never fail to please the humans (and one dog) I give them to. The owner and her daughter are always cool to chat it up with, and patient as can be. It is the only shop I go into in Niles, except for a certain candy store, and I highly recommend it if you are looking for a special gift for someone, or if your just «looking»…

okay, none of these words can really describe how much i love this store and its owner. this place is not your typical antique store because Rae is not your typical human being. when you enter the iron dog you are entering the grey matter of a beautiful person. every inch of this shop has art and desire and history infused into it.
i highly recommend a visit for everyone.
also, a little factoid, rae makes a lot of the jewelry in the shop and also teaches one on one classes for those of you who like to get creative. i took her class and have been making beautiful pieces ever since. she is an amazing instructor!!!

This shop is incredible! I found it when I went to the bead shop down the street! The way everything is displayed is very, very cool! I could spend hours in there! The ladies that run it are two of the nicest people you ever want to meet. It is a no miss place when you go to Niles! (The bead shop is great, also! Has the same vibe as the Iron Dog!

THE IRON DOG IS A MUST VISIT WHEN YOU ARE IN NILES!
I have found that the antiques, china, glass, jewlery and art items are very well priced and of fantastic quality. All merchandise is unique, with many flavors. You can find a gift for any occasion and if your seeking a treasure of your own you’ll find it at the Iron Dog. The enviroment is welcoming and warm. My shopping experiences at the Iron Dog have always been filled with joy, laughter and great treasures.

Very cute little store with seasonal, fun, unique stuff. Great-​smelling candles, too! Awesome jewelry and home décor. Nice staff. This is one of the more hip, younger, modern stores in the area. Check it out next time you’re in the area — They’ve got some cute Halloween stuff up now.
