I fell sick after eating cut vegetables from coconut hill shop, so please pay attention whether vegetables are washed or not.

Ok this will be multi-step review. 5 Stars — For cleanliness, presentation and customer service. The owner himself is attentive enough to answer all the queries and even help you find stuffs + he orders something that you want. So, that in itself is enough for shifting my loyalty from other places to here. 4 Stars — For product line-up and price. Some of the products are competitively priced whereas some of them are way over-priced for instance a small 200gm pack of authentic murukku or cheedai costs 6 $ that’s like crazy expensive. 3 Stars — For meat and chicken. Seriously the frozen fish and halal chicken looks messed up. They don’t belong here in the store at all. 2 Stars — They do sell Biriyani and kebabs on weekends, it used to be their crowning glory as you get tasty biriyani for a very good price but as usual the success has gone to the head of the Biriyani owner(Whoever he is), last two times were pretty bad both quality n quantity wise. In simple words, do what you can do best if for some reason you can’t stand upto maintain it simply refrain from doing it rather than garnering bad reviews. Overall, coconut hill is a 4 star place for grocery but comes below 3 for combined experience.

This review is for the biryani they sell in their store. The taste of the biryani is really good. The price on top of that is superb. Very reasonable price when you compare with the leading competitors in Fremont. I hope they continue to sell the biryani for the same price. Recently I ordered a catering tray of biryani. Mr. Irfan did free home delivery and the taste is consistent.

Cute little Indian grocery store. They have a wide selection of different flours, so next time I want to try making my own indian food I will definitely be stopping by. The chief draw, though, is that they will grate a coconut for you on the spot. Delicious.

Clean fresh produce, quality groceries at competitive prices(no overcharging) and excellent service. Always my first preference to shop for South Asian groceries and produce.

Awesome place to shop for South Asian groceries. Better pricing than competitors. Ready to eat stuff is something you can’t be away from. I would recommend this place for those who believe in stocking for less rather than paying more for less.

Coconut Hill is an indian grocery selling primarily frozen and packaged goods. didn’t see nor try to find produce though. store is small. shelves stocked fully with spices, mixes, grains, crackers, candies, the usual. only one cashier exit/entrance eats: britannia cashew cookie(2.69), wafers(.79) –unpriced cashew cookie pricey mostly sugar, palm oil, only 4.5% cashew, not a good deal. chocolate only 1.69 –crackers tasted overly sweet,. crumbs: –steady flow of patrons, pricing must be ok. –not only indian grocery in area,

Looks like new ownership since August 2012. Well stocked now. Lot more choice for items than before. Friendly staff. Now the store is open till 10PM on weekdays. Easy Access from 880&680. Good place to get Indian Grocery(especially South Indian items) for folks on their way home to San Ramon & Danville from Silicon Valley.

the ready to eat food sold here is pretty good, but the groceries are old and all expired. I have gotten sick on 2 occasions from buying frozen foods from here because I failed to realize they were expired. The second time I tried to exchange my expired chappatis, and the guy tried to make me pay for it and gave me some attitude. Then I realized I couldn’t exchange the chappatis because all the frozen chappatis they had were expired in march 2010. What the heck? Don’t buy groceries from here unless you want to get food poisoning
