We have always liked their breakfasts. The service is great, very polite family. 5 stars if they clean the place up a bit.

Service was good food was not good. Got the biscuits and gravy. Tasted like they were from the freezer. My breakfast companion got the egg Benedict and it was mediocre. The best thing about breakfast was the banana nut bread.

I hadn’t been here in a few years(possibly since they moved to this location), but everyone told me to try the menudo, so I did. The tortillas were great and the menudo is tasty, but mine has a smell and slight taste of feces. Apparently this can happen when the tripe is not cleaned properly. Not sure if this was just an off day, but I’d definitely like to try their pazole and other breakfast items.

Came here based on the Unilocal reviews and was thoroughly disappointed. The service was amazing. The server was super enthusiastic. The food… Omg the food was just… Not that good. We ordered the portobello eggs Benedict, chile verde, pancakes and a side of house potatoes. Dude. I ordered an eggs Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was ORANGE. Orange?! Why?! The sauce was heavy and hard to eat. The chile verde didn’t have a pigment of green in it. It’s CHILEVERDE! Verde = GREEN. None. It was sooo heavy. Huge chunks of meat and potatoes. The side of house potatoes were huge chunks. Stale. Some pieces were so hard I couldn’t even stab my fork in it. Pancakes. Lol. My husband struggled to eat it. He could barely eat it. It was so hard to cut into with a fork. You HAD to use a knife. Pancakes shouldn’t be this difficult! Lol. Would we come back? No. So funny how I also wrote a bad review for another restaurant in the same plaza.

Had the ITALIANSAUSAGEOMELETTE for breakfast and it was good. I did not much like their take on country potatoes. The potato chunks where to large to really absorb the flavor of the onions and peppers during cooking. Coffee was also good. We will return.

Absolutely Great. First time here. We got greeted at the door. We didn’t have to wait to be seated. We were recommend a couple of items from the menu. Service was fenomenal. Thank you to Fidel, Erica, and other staff. They were constantly checking on us. Food is SUPERDELICIOUS!!! We loved the combination of Mexican and American food. PORTIONS could be shared among two and be fully satisfied. we will definitely be back next time we come back to this area.

Coming from New York and having traveled extensively around the world, I can say I’ve seen the best and worse in eatery’s and I’ve got to tell you that Cabrillo Park Café ranks up there with the best. Every meal my wife and I have had easily rival the best waterfront restaurants in San Francisco, New York, the far east and Europe… hands down. Along with the food, there’s a nice, friendly family atmosphere where everybody is family. I was especially touched when what must’ve been an elderly, nicely dressed Sunday church crowd came in and started talking with the bus boys, waiters and waitresses as though they were family with hugs freely exchanged and with obvious familiarity. Great experience ! ! Excellent food ! ! A true Fremont’s own treasure ! !

We had breakfast there. The service was very friendly and family like. The food was very forgettable– bland and greasy. The croissant was covered with some brown goo that tasted the way fresh epoxy smells, but very sweet. I burped that taste for the rest of the day. But the portions were VERY generous and the hash browns were good. The menu seems very extensive and they are willing to endlessly modify customer orders. Everything seems freshly made. Seems like they have many returning customers, so I guess some people love it.

Stopped in for a mid-morning breakfast/brunch and was very pleased. Restaurant is in a strip mall, and the interior isn’t anything fancy, but everything else about the meal went very well. I was promptly seated, and offered(and provided) coffee. I was a bit slow perusing the(large) menu, but my server seemed fine with checking back every few minutes for me – and I received my first refill on the coffee even before I had ordered(due to my slowness, not the restaurants). Ended up choosing the Portuguese omelet, and was very happy with the choice. A well made, large omelet that I was happy with. The star of the plate were the wonderful hash browns… super crispy on the outside, but puffy soft on the inside — perfect. I will definitely be back if I am in the area looking for breakfast or brunch.

I finally got a chance to come here and was very happy I did. I had a breakfast craving, so my son and I decided to give it a try. We were greeted warmly as we walked-in and were seated in a booth. There were a lot of options to choose from and I ordered a Denver Omelette, while my son ordered the Carnitas Breakfast Burrito. When the food arrived, the first thing we noticed was the size of their portions. My omelette was cooked perfectly and filled with a lot of ham, onions and bell peppers. The hash browns were crispy and covered half the plate. My son’s carnitas breakfast burrito was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. They checked on us often to make sure everything was perfect. The«family style» environment was really welcoming. Based upon other reviews, I have more dishes to try.

SO much win here. The prices are cheaper than most other diners in the area, the food is more varied, the quality is spot on and the service is fast and friendly. What else could you want in a diner? The potato pancakes that come with the cinnamon croissant? Super on point. The carnitas breakfast plate is delish, right amount of crispiness and then the egg and oh my. Definitely a regular spot for me.

I have been going to this place for years through two owners as Normans and now as Cabrillo Café. This place is a bang for your buck place that serves a lot of food for a reasonable price, so make sure to bring a large appetite! Staff is supper friendly and my coffee cup is never allowed to run empty here. I also like the fact that this is a locally owned business. I highly recommend.

My friend and I have came here after walking. Our first experience was ok, however I can say that this morning’s experience was better. My coffee was continuously filled and we were asked frequently if we could be provided with anything else. I had one of the hearty breakfast menu items; scrambled eggs, spinach, artichokes and was topped with shrimp and hollandaise. It was served with banana bread and fruit. It was very good! My friend had an omelet and I did not hear any complaints. Its a good place for breakfast!

This to me was like a regular breakfast place. I came here with one of my friends for breakfast. He got the Denver omelet burrito I think and he said it was really good. The portion size was huge because he took half of it home. I had the French toast with eggs sausage and corned beef hash. I loved every bit of it. I’m a breakfast girl so this was perfect for me. The hot chocolate was also really good. I definitely come back.

It was alright. Went here after hiking Mission Peaks. It is located in a mini plaza. When we walked in we were greeted immediately by a server who seated us. It is a open restaurant so you can see everyone who is seated. We were seated in a booth right by the door so it was a bit drafty. We got our drinks fast. Order-taking, now that was a different story. Took a good 10 mins. & we were hungry too. They refilled my coffee twice & went by another two times to make sure I didn’t need another. I ordered the Portobello Mushroom Eggs Benedict. It had mushroom, artichoke hearts, spinach & poached eggs. It came with a side of fruit that had I think yogurt on the top, I think. I didn’t eat it. It also came with a side of what tasted like Banana Walnut bread. It was super dense & had a hint of banana, I think. lol. I know, a ton of uncertainty in this review. The hollandaise sauce was really orange, like straight orange. It didn’t come on a english muffin, it was on like something that tasted & had the same consistency of grits or sticky quinoa. I finished it because I needed to eat it but it was okay. Nothing too amazing. We felt rushed the entire time we were there. It could be that they were offering quick service since it wasn’t that busy. You pay up front. OHBTW; the bathrooms are located in the back of the restaurant. It is a one person stall and takes two doors to enter. The door doesn’t lock so I had to pee fast, I am just saying. I loved how they had a full size mirror in the bathroom, always a plus!

I just had the best brunch on this side of the Bay! So, my family and I used to do brunch every Sunday until my middle sister moved to Texas. Most Sunday brunches reeked of mediocrity and disappointment(I’m looking at you, Black Bear) so our gatherings were less about the food and more about the family. On to Cabrillo Park Café… My sister’s in town and suggested we brunch at CPC. Based on all the Unilocal reviews, we agreed. First of all, the service is wonderful. They greeted and seated us as soon as we walked in then took drink orders asap. We ordered in about 10 minutes and they brought us an on– the-house appetizer, which we hadn’t even finished by the time our food arrived. Huge portions of piping hot hashbrowns, eggs, omelets and pancakes filled our plates and everyone dug in. I ordered the Carnitas omelet(thanks to the waiter’s rec) with extra crispy hashbrowns, English muffin and extra salsa. Soooooo good! I started humming as I ate. My search for extra crispy hashbrowns has been horrible yet I ask for them hoping someone understands that«extra crispy» does not mean raw or barely grilled. CPC knows how to do EXTRACRISPYHASHBROWNS. One of my best brunch experiences in a long time and we will definitely be back.

This place never disappoints! We are always welcomed with a warm greeting and usually seated right away. This is one of my favorite spots for breakfast. The food is delicious and generously proportioned. I’m a major coffee drinker. My cup never runs out! I love that! Must try the carnitas omelet. That dish is one of my mom, myself, and my husband’s favorite. Customer service plus, food absolute plus= happy tummy. Happy wallet.

5 star customer service, friendly and helpful staff, large portions, and very tasty food. They have your typical bacon, eggs, and pancakes breakfast and a variety Mexican omelette and burritos. I had the linguica breakfast burrito, my mom had ham n cheese omelette, dad and bro had steak something. All of us left with half of our meals since they were so big. The server even asked me if I want extra salsa! They have homemade pico de gallo and fresh squeezed orange juice. I come to Fremont once a month and stay with my parents for a few days and we will definitely be going back. I’m pretty sure it’s a family run place too!

A solid 4-star. Love the intimate, family vibe! And the addition of Latin favorites, including carnitas, chorizos, chili verde, and so on. Also, loved the hash browns –with just enough crisp on the outside but still moist on the inside.

So I came here twice now and liked my first meal better. The first time was on a weekend so service was quick yet courteous. Hash browns done well and chicken fried steak was good. Only the gravy was not appetizing since it was too thick. prob too much flour. Second visit I dined alone on a week day. Only three other tables were occupied and the woman decided that arranging tables is more important than serving customers. After 5 min with my menu I was waiting for her to take my order. A man walking by says she will be either w me. Instead she seats a party of 2 and takes their order! Anyways onto food. .the scramble w apple sausage was not executed well. Eggs were overdone. not gently scrambled. And the sausage tasted dry. I couldn’t tell that it was, chicken yet alone if there was a trace of apple in it. Good note was they gave a lot of sausage. it would have been pleasant if the sausage was tasty. The potato pancake was something new for me. I love latkes but these are different. They’re dense and must have egg in it or some binding agent. I could only eat so much of it. Crisp exterior w soft center about 1⁄3 in thick. The croissant w cinnamon butter was good but I doubt they make the croissant. I just liked the cinnamon butter! Overall upsetting. .esp when place wasn’t that busy. Onto the next one.

We came here based on the Unilocal reviews. We wanted a good and hearty breakfast but what we got was a disappointing meal. I had asked for green eggs(green onions with cheese). They didn’t have green onions so I said fine how about grilled red onions with scrambled eggs and cheese. I asked for the onions to be cooked through because I don’t like them raw. What I received was over done scrambled eggs, no cheese with a ton of red onions. It was so disappointing. Hubby ordered chicken Apple sausage with scrambled eggs and hash browns. Both meals were mediocre and quite disappointing based on the prices. The service was lacking and we were throughly sad by our meal and how much we spent to get mediocre food. I think their prices are overrated, the ambience was dated — kitschy and really not worth the time to get bad food. We would have been more satisfied at Denny’s!

I ordered a linguica breakfast burrito, but it wasn’t satisfying, The hashbrowns-like potatoes they added were soggy and there was no texture to the burrito; very soggy. At first I didn’t know there was hashbrowns were there until I saw shredded potatoes. In addition, the flavor was one note… needs a salsa or seasoning.

Worth 10 stars. Really! There are plenty of cafes and diners around Fremont that are, well… meh. Let me start by saying that Cabrillo Park Café in NOT one of those. We came in on a Monday around 11:30 am, the place was not very busy but there were other customers. It’s clean and airy with the high ceilings. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door, shown to a table and asked if we’d like a beverage. I said, «orange juice, please», and my husband added, «Make that two». The immediate response was, «Two, fresh squeezed». And that orange juice was at our table a few minutes later, utterly delicious. So good, in fact, that my husband ordered another. I ordered the Golden Potato Pancake Breakfast Primavera. The potato pancake was fabulous! Bits of jalapeño and red peppers, seasoned just right and cooked perfectly. The eggs were scrambled with spinach, tomato, onion, mushrooms and artichoke hearts, topped with cheese. A delightful combination, served with a cinnamon-buttered croissant. My only regret was that I ran out of room and had to ask my husband to help by eating part of my croissant! He ordered pancakes with eggs over medium and bacon. In our experience, many restaurants don’t seem to know the difference between eggs over easy, over medium or over hard… but Cabrillo Park Café most definitely knows how to cook an egg properly. Likewise, his bacon was thick-sliced and crisp, but not overdone, As for the pancakes, they disappeared pretty quickly. The portions were generous but not overly so – plenty of food, but not so much that anything was wasted. Service was perfect — attentive, but not hovering. Our first time there, but definitely not our last. We now have a new Go-To for breakfast… Cabrillo Park Café is at the top of our list.

Who knew that regular breakfast food with a Mexican twist can taste so good! First time I got take out here, we drove half an hour to a family members house before we got to dig in, so I did not feel right writing a review for cold breakfast food that I did not get to enjoy. This time, it was still very hot when I opened the box. Per the photos on Unilocal,I decided on a chicken apple sausage scramble with the potato pancake. What is a potato pancake? I have no idea, but it was delicious! Not to mention, they slapped a generous spoon of sour cream on top. I think if you slap sour cream on top of anything for me, you’re good to go haha But in all seriousness, I thought the potato pancake was very good. The chicken apple sausage scramble was also tasty as well, with the ingredients of spinach and mushroom mixed into it. I was also impressed with the massive size of their«breakfast burrito». My husband got the chorizo breakfast burrito and it looked massive to me. The flavor was also very good. They put the hashbrowns inside the burrito. The portion of hashbrowns, chorizo, cheese, and eggs was perfect. Seriously, well done!

We came here around 10:30am and we didn’t wait for that long, a couple of minutes here and then we’re already comfortably sitting at the booth. They seem to be very friendly. I liked how the server was wearing green shirt as their uniform. It’s kinda different. They made sure we got things that we needed. Just a warning, the location is pretty loud. When the food was served, it’s hot and fresh. I tried their Carnitas Omelette and it’s okay. I think I want to try that next time without the eggs. Maybe the Menudo too. I’m curious as to how it might taste like. I enjoyed the bowl of fruit with yogurt. I guess that’s a healthy choice. I’ll come back here sometime to try their different dish.
