Very good hot pot restaurant!!! We had the pork soup, curry soup, picked cabbage soup, and spicy soup. My favorite is the pork soup. Everything is good!

Clean place, fresh meat, service was OK. They serve 4 soup bases in a pot which is nice, but none of the soup base is outstanding. In addition, they put cilantro in 2 of soup bases. If you don’t like cilantro, be sure to tell them you don’t want it.

I’m an absolute hot pot fanatic and this AYCE4 soup base hot pot joint is pretty cool when you’re really hungry. However, the soup bases weren’t super spectacular(we got the pork bone, tomato, spicy, pickled cabbage) which was a huge miss since soup bases are crucial to any tasty hot pot. However, the sheer volume of menu items makes up for it. The meats were good quality and they give you a ton, which is both bad and good. I wanted to try other dishes but I knew that I couldn’t waste food and that I’d be full after eating what I already ordered. I really liked their sauce station, which gives you a ton of choices with spicy oil, radish, peanuts, cilantro, green onion, hot pot sauce, white vinegar, just to name a few. Overall, the place is great for big groups and hungry people, but if you’re a stickler for soup bases, then this might not be the spot for you.

It was okay, I normally don’t have a good impression towards buffet and this one didn’t change my mind. The winter melon didn’t taste fresh. And the soup base is completely no Sichuan flavor at all

Yes, it is all you can eat. However, every time you thought have ordered everything but the server will always miss several things. Which means, you order 10 items they usually only give you 8. Last time I went to this place with my friends. After the dinner, 3 people of 4 had diarrhea. So we pretty sure the food served in this place either was not fresh or got poisoned. All you can eat $ 26.99 + all you can drink(optional) $ 10.00 — I want to compare this place to a combination mixture of Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot and … Hot Pot City & The Pot(SF). Upon entering, you’ll find a counter to your right with sauce options for you to create your own sauce like Hot Pot City. You kind of can’t complain if you’re making your own mixture, guys. The counter stays pretty clean considering there are about 12 options split into two rows. As you can imagine, this can get pretty dirty with people spilling; but, nah, it stays pretty clean. The only issue is it stays at the front, kind of narrowing the entrance as well as catching all it can from an open door. A laminated menu with a dry erase marker with steps on how to order; pretty basic. You get up to 4 broth options. The first being a choice of either beef or pork bone soup. I was content with our beef choice but look forward to trying pork another time. We got the TOMATO, CURRY, &SPICY soup options. I found myself leaning more towards curry & spicy while the bf ate his food with the beef bone & tomato soup bases. They’re not out of this world amazing but they do the job. My favorite was the CURRYBROTH because it didn’t take away the flavor from the food but didn’t lack in curry flavors either. About the broth refills, I’m not sure what they refilled our broths with since it was a 1 pitcher for 4 refill type of thing going on. There is maybe … half the available menu from Little Sheep /The Pots if you know what their menu looks like which made us feel a tad limited. For the price, you kind of can’t complain because from what I know, Little Sheep doesn’t offer AYCE every day and The Pots is kind of far. There isn’t much of a wow factor going on with the meat options. The kobe was surprisingly not bad and I used to work with kobe beef so thumbs up there. The booths are pretty with pretty high seats which helps you have a decent level of privacy during your meal. It also helps them not see you :(For what felt like the entire duration of our meal, it felt like no one was there. We couldn’t find a server, we couldn’t even flag one down once found. We were completely ignored and by the time our 2nd round of food came out we didn’t even want to eat anymore. I’m loving the long chopsticks though because I’ve always hated reaching over with lava steam hitting my hand so this is a plus. Parking lot gets full — FAST. Hotpot & Tea house in the same small plaza with a tiny parking lot. Be careful where you park as someone can easily back up into your car(witnessed a near incident). 1 star for food; 1 star for environment; 1 star for noise level being endurable. Missing 2 stars for service: absence & how long we had to wait for everything except apparently the check.

im not much of a hot pot or a taiwanese hot pot fan. i’ve only liked one pot, and i usually stick to one pot only. my gf told me this place was good, so why not? we came here around 7PM, and luckily there was no wait. chosen broth– spicy, kimchee, and curry. nothing great about any of the broths. we did get the defaulted pork bones one which is in the center of the broths. also whatevers. they have a wide selection to choose from their ayce menu. chosen meat: kobe– not great, house special beef– it was my fave, fatty pork belly– it was cool dipping sauces? they have a whole counter near the front entrance. nothing spectacular about their sauces either veggies? good options. seafood? good options as well. i really liked their shrimp paste + lobster ball. very airy overall, im not a fan of any taiwanese/chinese hot pot, but this place is a-ok.

I was excited to try this as I just found out there’s AYCE hot pot for $ 26.95(not including tax or tip)?! Unfortunately, i was very disappointed. Parking: this is NOT in the 99 ranch/boiling point plaza. This is located right next to the Wells Fargo, which is the next parking lot after 99 ranch. We walked in and there was absolutely NO ventilation! WTF, it was hella steamy and all the glass doors were fogged up. I was already skeptical. You would expect any hot pot, kbbq type restaurant to have good ventilation. I guess once you’re seated, you don’t notice it as much but dammn. Wait was less than 30 minutes at 7ish for dinner on a Saturday. We parked in 99 ranch and realized it wasn’t in the plaza so called in to put our names down then went to 99 to get some stuff. There was maybe only 3 – 4 other groups waiting. Soup base: — Pork Bone– MEH not much flavor to this. Kinda looks like little sheep hot pot original soup base but not as flavorful — Beef Bone– clear broth MEH — Pickled Cabbage — remember to order more pickled cabbage so it’s more flavorable. It made it the better soup base! –Spicy– this is more of a medium spicy. I suppose that’s why there’s sauce but these sauce were at the front as you walk in on your left. This is where ppl are waiting for their table… very unsanitary. It is not even covered and wide open. So we didn’t get any sauces. — House beef is way better than Kobe(def not Kobe beef lol and didn’t expect it to). — Shrimp mix– surprisingly good. It’s a mix and comes with a spoon for you to scope some into the hot pot. Very airy. — Wide vermicelli– I THOUGHTTHESELOOKEXACTLYLIKELITTLESHEEPSHOTPOTNOODLE. BUTNOITSNOT! It might be that the soup base isn’t as flavorable. The bite on the noodle is as chewy or good as little sheep’s. — Beef Tripe– I always enjoy tripe but hate when it’s all cut up into small pieces for hot pot… it shrinks and makes it impossible to find and when you do it’s barely much. — Fish Tofu– good, this is not fishy at all. I buy these from Asian market and throw it when I make noodle soup at home. — Corn– easy to eat bc it’s cut up to hella small pieces it I would’ve rather cut it in half and a bigger portion. But I guess it’s all you can eat so u can order more. We always throw this at the very beginning and eat towards the end so it soaks up the flavor. — Veggies– it was alright. There was a black thing on one of the A choy… Could be washed better and sort the bad ones. Overall I would not come back as the quality of the food is MEH, soup base is not flavorful at all and I understand that there’s sauces(very unsanitary) but we had Little Sheep and don’t need sauces at all bc soup base was very flavorable. I rather pay an extra $ 20ish for better quality and better environment.

One of my favorite AYCE that’s close by to San Jose. Offers lots of sides, great service and condiment bar. Usually get the spicy & pork broth. The kimchee & cabbage are very lackluster. The curry one is bit strong, I just stick to all spicy. Add buncha green onions & garlic, yummmm. Try avoiding the noodles, I always get them and end up really full. Recommend to re-order any items before you finish any of your items because sometimes the kitchen can get backed up because of other tables. And waiting… Makes me full and no longer wanting to eat.

This is my new favorite hot pot place! I’ll get to why I dropped a star later. I brought my mom here for dinner. No wait at all, must have just been a slow night(luckily for us!). Parking was difficult, though, even on an apparently slow night. We were seated right away, and they did the whole this-is-how-hotpot-here-works spiel. I like that you can choose four broths instead of just one or two. I think that makes this place better for groups than most other places. Even though, after hours of eating, the broth flavors all blend together, it’s still nice to have that option in the beginning. We went for the pork bone soup in the middle, surrounded by kimchi soup, pickled cabbage, and tomato soup. We weren’t really big fans of the kimchi soup, but the pickled cabbage was our favorite by far. They have plenty of item options here. My favorite part is the meat, of course. They don’t just have one kind of beef, one kind of pork, etc. All the meats were fresh. They also have plenty of seafood, veggies, and tofu. Some of their items are typically not found at other hotpot places. Lastly, they have a sauce bar near the entrance, so you can pick and choose your flavors. I feel like places in the US rarely have a sauce bar like they do. If there were an option to move the sauce bar closer to the back of the restaurant(away from the door), or maybe cover it, that’d be better. That’s minus half a star. The other minus half star comes from the food prep, but they recovered well. Basically, we received an item that didn’t look fresh — it almost looked dirty. .. But they gladly exchanged it for another portion, and even brought out the old portion to demonstrate that they didn’t just replace on piece, they replaced the whole plate. That was good service, from my point of view. Their service was awesome. They come by to check on you regularly and are very friendly. Even when dinner rush picked up, they were still very attentive. Well worth the price just to eat($ 26.99). If you add all you can drink for just $ 10 more(including alcohol), it’s worth it, too. I also love the chill ambiance of the restaurant. From the décor to the giant screen playing the game to the music and the people, it makes for a very pleasant dining experience.

If you like Chinese/Taiwanese style hot-pot, I’d highly recommend this place. Unfortunately, I am not. However the food was good. There is no option but to do AYCE — not terrible price. They give you a dry-erase board like paper where you select the broths you’d like. Yes, you can select up to 4 different broths. Heads up — the spicy broth is spicy. The thai curry was one of my favorites. There is a ton of variety when it comes to what you’re putting in the hot pot. — meats galore — vegetables — seafood — noodles I’m deducting one star because the service was a little subpar and they didn’t mention/show us that there is a sauce bar. –_– I called in ahead and they let me put my name down. It gets really steamy in there — I think they could use a little better ventilation. Nice big projector tv — was streaming a football game.

This place has a lot of options for everyone! They have a large variety of meat, seafood, noodles, vegetables, and sauces, so there’s definitely something for everyone to enjoy! You can also choose up to 4 different soup bases, which is great when you have more people so that there’s something that everyone will like. My personal favorites were the kimchi and tomato soup base because I found it to be more flavorful. Great alternative to waiting in line for 2 hours at Boiling Point. AYCE $ 26.99 All you can Drink(Stella, Sapporo, Hefweizer, soda, etc) $ 10 You can choose up to 4 different soup bases. We got the Chili, kimchi, beef bone, and tomato soup. Not out of this world I love this soup to death good, but it’s above average. Lots of assortment of different meat and veggies. Awesome that they have items on the menu that you can’t find in other hot pot places(i.e. fish balls with meat filling, octopus, etc). The meats didn’t look frozen and were good-quality. Pretty extensive sauce bar: Sesame, chili, garlic, oyster, soy sauce, satay sauce, green onion, cliantro, peppercorn oil, peanuts and more. Just irks me a little that it’s near the front entrance. Beautiful décor and nice ambience. Reminds me of how Gen feels in Socal– no, not like the one located in SJ. Very comfy seats(notice that I didn’t say chairs). They have a lot of booths as well. I enjoyed the music very much as well. It’s American/Chinese ballads. Fuhhhhh long ass chopsticks. I’m Chinese and I feel that it was a bit inconvenient. Guess it makes sense since everyone gotta share out of one pot and you need them chopsticks to grab from afar. Very impressed with how they operated. It’s organized to how they add trays for your uncooked food, where they hold their menus, to how they seat. Noticed that they didn’t want to seat parties near the kitchen unless it was the last seat available. Because who really wants to sit near a loud kitchen or near the bathroom? Servers were attentive but I wished they would smile a bit in such a nice looking place. Parking lot can get full easily. I’m a fan, will be back.

After the upgrade, the obvious difference you can notice. The interior, service and menu have been upgraded with some thoughtfulness. Now we can have more privacy among our groups from other people dropping ears and giving us nasty look on our jokes. Service is way better overall. English speakers and less missing items. Can’t blame them for new employee missing items and not informing customers. Training needs time. Items that are not popular has been removed. Popular items remain and more new items are added as well. Too bad for those who like those unpopular items.

Solid 3.5 stars(rounding up to 4 stars) for the hot pot buffet at Hot Pot Buffet. I had set aside last Saturday as the day to pay my annual homage to the Internal Revenue Service. But thanks to Intuit and its star product TurboTax, the entire ordeal lasted only a couple hours. What that meant was I got to enjoy the rest of my Saturday and spend some of the money I will be getting back from Uncle Sam. My brother and I met up with a couple friends in Fremont. The weather was cool and windy so we decided hot pot would be a good choice for dinner. We decided on Hot Pot Buffet because of its close proximity to Gong Cha, a place we usually visit whenever we are in Fremont. We pulled in to the parking lot at around 6:50pm and found it to be full. Fortunately, the Wells Fargo Bank branch next door stops its private lot enforcement at 6:00pm. We parked our car there and entered the restaurant at 7:00pm. The place was completely packed so we put our name down on the wait list. As I looked around, I noticed the restaurant only has about a 60-person capacity. The tables were tightly packed into a small space. The interior was quite dark. A huge flat screen TV was showing a PGA event. At about 7:30pm, a group of five people, apparently friends with one of the servers, were seated before us even though they came in after us. I brought that to one of the server’s attention politely and his explanation was that they had five people in their group. That didn’t make sense at all. The male manager, perhaps seeing the growing impatience of three menacing Asian men over 6ft tall, assured us that we would be next to get a table. Finally at 7:40pm, we were seated. A food list and a Sharpie were given to us to mark the items we wanted. The selection of food was quite good. There were about 50 different meat, seafood, vegetable, and noodle items to choose from. Shortly after we submitted our initial list of items, one of the servers brought the hot pot to our table and placed on top of the induction cooktop. The pot was divided into four sections. The outer sections were filled with tomato, Chinese herbal, and Sichuan spicy broths. The middle one was filled with a curry broth. Overall, the food we had that night was pretty fresh. My favorite items were the different cuts of beef(house special, Kobe, and something called beer beef), sliced premium pork, fresh shrimp paste, and beef tendon chunks. As for the broths, my favorite was the Chinese herbal one. The rest were mediocre. The service(after the seating issue) was quite good. Everyone was very polite and our orders were brought out quickly. They constantly checked to see if we need any water or broth refill. Not a bad option if you want AYCE hot pot in the Fremont area. I will go back again. ITEMSOFNOTE: — AYCE is $ 24.99 per person, add an extra $ 10 for all-you-can-drink beer and soda — If you want your own dipping sauce, a make-your-own sauce bar is available — There is a 2-hour limit for the AYCE — They do take reservations — Not good for any party with more than eight people — Though the tomato soup sounds vegetarian, I am not sure if it is really the case — Double every item you order

I came here on a Sunday for my friend’s birthday. This place has been around for awhile but I never had a chance to try it out. My friends and I arrived at 6pm and the place actually got so packed around 7. Service was really good for a hot pot place. Upon arrival, the server was very nice and offered to put our cake into the fridge when he saw me holding the cake. Also, he was attentive throughout the dinner and stopped by towards the end of the meal asking us when we would like to have the cake. He even cleared the table for us before we had the cake so that the picture would look nicer! It’s an all-you-can-eat style hot pot for $ 25/person. They offer a pretty good variety of meat with lamb, pork, and 3 types of beef. The most interesting things about this place is the soup base and the sauce bar. The soup pot comes with 4 different types of soup including the regular herbal pork bone soup, sichuan spicy soup, tomato soup, and satay-based soup. I think it’s a good idea to have different soup bases in one pot, especially for a large group. Moreover, there is a sauce bar where you can mix and match your own sauce. Pretty good place for groups and celebrations. I still like Little Sheep more, but I will try to alternate between Little Sheep and this place for my hot pot fix.

Their menu is a la carte and they give you a pen to mark off what you’d like to order for your hot pot. Ayce is like… $ 30? Pretty good deal considering i think i ate more than i’ve eaten in awhile. I like how to can make your own sauce. they have a sauce bar which can be held up sometimes if you don’t time it right with other guests. The pork was really good and the veggies were fresh. I especially liked the tofu and shrimp ball paste. Oh! And the parking definitely sucks… i guess the bank next door shares their parking with the plaza at certain hours.

I have not experienced the restaurant prior the renovation. But what I can say is that the place is good! My friend and I came and we conquered! It’s in a small plaza next to Warren Ave. Pretty bad parking space. I don’t think there’s an option whether you want buffet or not. But I think for $ 25 hot pot dinner buffet the price is worth it! There’s so many options there. Lots of choice of meat, carbs(noodles, rice), seafood, and vegetables. There’s also a sauce bar which I love! I love customizing my sauce and there were so many different options there. You also can’t pick which broth you want because they give you all 4 whether you like them or not. I really like the original and spicy broth. Will definitely come back. It get’s busy so it’s best to come before 7.

This place really isn’t all that bad for the price! It has a good selection of items to choose from – my personal favorites are the hand sliced beef and cuttlefish balls. Both the spicy and original broths are extremely flavorful as well, which I LOVE mixing together in my soup bowl! Don’t pay the extra money for the house sauce though. It’s definitely a pass in my opinion. As for the service, it’s not too bad. All of the times I’ve been here, it’s been a pretty enjoyable experience, especially for a moderately priced AYCE hot pot dinner that won’t break the bank.
