[Solid A-OK rating.] Man, I was totally looking forward to trying this place out since it opened in the Pacific Commons Shopping center. Full bar, restaurant with outdoor seating to enjoy the Fremont summer sunsets?! Count me half-way in. Conveniently, we were seated right away at a booth in the bar section. Right away, we noticed that there was a TV from every line of sight, this was a good sign for my husband. Our server, Corina had the perfect amount of attentiveness without being overly annoying. Once we ordered our alcoholic bevs, they came out in a decent amount of time. Within minutes our salads and main entreès followed. Sadly, the food is really basic here. Reminded me of AppleBee’s, dannnng. Maybe I’ll order something different next time, but even my husbands chicken breast dish was just OK. About an hour later, our bill was about $ 60: 2 house salads, 2 alcoholic beverages, 2 main entreès. I would probably come back here to chill with friends, solely for dranks during HH. They have a great outdoor seating area to watch summer sunsets.

First time here tonight for dinner with friends to celebrate a birthday. The whole experience was awesome, including food, service, ambience, and cost. We ordered fish-n-chips(3 huge pieces of battered fish), the Monte Christo(which also was HUGE), and the Shepherd’s Pie, although here they call it Cottage Pie. Everything was excellent. We’re already planning our next return trip here.

Decided to visit for the Warriors game, had a great time. Staff was friendly and checked in with me regularly. Basically no wait for drinks as I was at the bar. I ordered the boneless buffalo wings which came in less than 10 minutes and were delicious! Will definitely come by with friends again for a full meal and try out more of their food, which sounds and looks very appetizing!

Bennigans is one of the newer restaurants that has opened up in Pacific Commons. It reminds me of BJ’s since it has sports tv screens all around and a spacious bar. Me and the bff went in for some appetizers during the nba western conference finals and it was packed. The hostess at the front was super sweet and got us a table in about 15 minutes. Looking at the menu, there’s a pretty good selection of appetizers. Since we weren’t that hungry, we decided to do 2 appetizers along with the non-alcholic peach on a beach drink. We ordered the irish nachos with no meat and the cheese potato skins. Our waiter was pretty much MIA and so we received the appetizers after waiting 15 minutes. The sad part is they weren’t worth the wait. Let me break it down below: Irish Nachos: Cheese was not even melted and there was an uneven distribution of toppings. It was basically cold chips piled on eachother with bits of toppings everywhere. The guac was tasteless and felt like it came from a prepackaged container. If you can’t make nachos tasty, I can only imagine how they make their main entrees! Cheese Potato Skins: Tasteless half melted cheese with a small scoop of sour cream on the side. Definitely not worth spending money on. The saving grace to this all was our non-alcholic peach on the beach drink. Hands down one of tastiest peach drinks I’ve ever had. Drinking that bad boy I felt like I was on a tropical island. In terms of our service, our waiter was MIA and hardly checked on us. I think he was probably busy watching the game. It took an hour to flag him down to get our check. Overall, I’d skip the food and head straight for drinks. Management-Please train your waiters and teach your chefs to make better food!

So who else decided to watch Game 7 at a bar?! ALLOFFREMONT. Pac Commons was PACKED, especially Buffalo Wild Wings.(3 hour wait? No thanks!) I was fortunate to have remembered Bennigan’s opened not too long ago, and decided to see if my Irish luck kicked in! Super packed, but we were fortunate to have found two empty seats at the bar. About mid quarter 1, we decided to order our food since we realized the back up was going to take a while… we waited about 45 minutes before we got our items. We ordered: –1 order of boneless buffalo chicken wings //$ 5 for Happy Hour! I’m glad they honored this even on a Monday(holiday). 3 pm-7 pm M-Fri! Taste was good– definitely a good kick! Though I wish the chunks of chicken were bigger, but at least they were tender and juicy! –1 order of «World Famous Monte Cristo» sandwich //$ 13. This is why I can’t be a chef. I am not creative enough with my sandwiches! I love the idea of a classic turkey/ham sandwich lightly deep fried, kinda sweet, kinda savory, and a spread of raspberry jam. I couldn’t get enough of it! HUGE portion size(2 sandwiches cut into 4 pieces) and the fries were good too. Not too salty or too oily! I LIKE! Pros: –Good menu options. Very basic things-sandwiches, soups, salads, hearty meat dishes, appetizers for everyone… –Great prices. The most expensive item I saw was the full rack of ribs for $ 25, and it looked GIGANTIC. Everything comes beautifully plated and looks amazing! –Clean environment. Bathrooms passed the test! And everything was sparkly clean. Cons: –Understaffed. I hope this is just because it’s a holiday(which means they should have more people?) but the poor bartender was fighting the battle alone and couldn’t even enjoy the game! Tips/Observations: –I guess if you have a large party, definitely make a reservation! Your whole party has to arrive to be seated, though. Overall, I would give this place another shot! I just hope that the slowness in service was because of the full-house and not because how they usually operate.

The food was good, service was meh. Took them like 5 minutes just to notice the party in front of us and another 2 to seat my boyfriend and I. Our waiter was nice, but slow like the rest of service. Would come again for the food, but not the service.

First time here in this location, we arrived at Fremont from San Mateo around lunch time and we were in search for a good fine dining restaurant. We found this one and didn’t hesitate. Great ambience, great customer service, fast service and delicious food. We opted out for their famous dessert because our main meal was already enough to satisfy our belly… But definitely will be back soon. We ordered Steakhouse Salad and Half Smoked Rib with fries. The plating was perfect and appealing. Taste was awesome except that I’m thinking, the salad could have been tastier if it weren’t for the Bleu Cheese. But everything was yummy especially the mouth-watering ribs…

********************* 1515 ********************** The bar food was ok. The chicken noodle soup was packaged soup. I love the big screen showing Warriors game, we watched while waiting for the movie at the nearby theater. The bartender was a bit slow but the host Edwin was very nice and gracious. It’s a better place around this area to have a snack before the movie.

Where to start. Let’s see… customer service was amazing! Everyone that I made eye-contact with smiled and said hello. I have no complaints there. Our waitress was helpful when it came to suggestions. The restaurant is very nice, cozy, and clean. Very nice setup. Nice tvs. Nice everything. Now… lets get to what I feel about the food being that this is a restaurant. I ordered 4 alcoholic beverages: celtic hurricane, pub punch, irish mule, strawberry sparkler. All of the drinks(with the exception on the irish mule) tasted like the syrup that belongs to a sno cone. Basically, a sno cone with ice cubes instead of shaved ice. Irish mule tasted how it was supposed to. It was the best drink out of the 4 we got. The only reason we ordered a second round of drinks was in hopes that we would be pleased/satisfied with some part of our experience/meal. I ordered the 3 appetizer plate: broccoli bites, nachos, buffalo wings. Broccoli bites were. .. Different to say the least. Not what I expected. I didn’t care for them. Buffalo wings were about the same quality as the kind you can make from the freezer. The nachos were almost dead on taco bell nachos(with added junk on top). I didn’t like any of the three appetizers. I ordered the Guinness burger. I liked the sauce, my boyfriend did not. The sauce was nothing to scream and shout about, but it was good. The burger… was okay? I guess? Customer service 5. Feel of the restaurant 5. Food quality 1. &&it had nothing to do with the chef(s), I am specifically referring to the taste quality of the food. Bill total: $ 75 before tip. For the amount we paid, I would have definitely preferred a nice steakhouse. Take note: When it is not happy hour, drinks are about $ 10. So we spent $ 40 on cups of ice with syrup(which bennigan’s refers to as purée). Mind you, we were aware that it was not happy hour yet we wanted to give their drinks a fair shot.

Steak super nachos(?) – At first they brought out the wrong type of nachos, but they corrected it promptly. It was delicious, but it looks nothing like the picture(as always). There’s a lot less toppings then pictured, which is kind of disappointing considering it’s an $ 18 appetizer. Burger: Huge portion sizes. I wasn’t a fan of their fries because it has a slightly burnt taste. I actually prefer a brioche bun, but this was pretty good. I couldn’t eat much because, again, it was so big. The wait was kind of long, but that’s understandable considering we went on a Saturday night. I loved the atmosphere and the service. I would definitely come back.

Solid 4 stars for Bennigan’s! I have been wanting to try this place ever since they opened up here but the poor reviews about their service kept me coming from here. But, I was glad that my friend, Ramyaa V. tried this and recommended this highly. We did have a good experience in here. We came in here on a late Wednesday night and the found that a lot of tables were occupied. We were welcomed by this sweet person(I forgot his name) who asked us if it was our first time at Bennigan’s. When we said yes, he started off saying«First time you are our guest, the next time you come in you are family», which was a really sweet thing to say. I could predict that we were going to have a great night. We were seated immediately and I notice that they have a lot of TVs playing sports, which can be great for a game night with friends. Our waitress Laura was great and gave us some great recommendations. We started off by ordering our drinks. We ordered the Minty mojito(the actual name ends with Leprechaun) and Peach on the beach(non-alcoholic). I liked my drink which was a blend of peach purée with orange and pineapple juice. Coming to the food, they have a huge menu. But, Laura was once again very helpful in recommending us some good food. Vegetarians need not worry as they can customize any burger or sandwich on their menu to a vegetarian dish. Based on this, we ordered the Gar-Lucky Arugula burger with a veggie patty and a side of Caesar salad and the Chicken tenders with a side of potato fries. I am not a huge fan of burgers but I loved the Gar-Lucky burger. It was non-greasy(+1 star for this) and the patty tasted absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this, even if you are a meat-eater. The side Caesar salad was ok. My hubby is a super picky eater and to satisfy him with good food is a herculean task and Bennigan’s deserves my applause for the great chicken tenders. He absolutely loved it. The portions were huge and we ended up taking the potato fries home. And we absolutely had no room for dessert after all this good food. But their menu also boasts of some delicious sounding desserts. We will be back here again to try the desserts. They are open till 11PM during weekdays and till 12AM on Fridays and Saturdays which is great, since most of the places in Fremont close by 10. I am sure this place tends to get crowded on weekends and hopefully the service still remains solid like the one we received on a weekday! Overall a good place to have a relaxed lunch/dinner.

A few days ago, I went to this location and I’m not sure if I’ll come back again with a large group. My co-workers and I came here after a company event. They weren’t able to accommodate a large party inside so we had to sit outside. Since it was a colder day, we sat on the side next to Dick’s which had some sun to keep us warm. We were surprised they didn’t have any umbrellas and some of my co-workers ended up with a sunburn. Eventually, we ended up moving to the other side that had shade. It was colder on that side and I think they should invest in some patio heaters for that area. Our waitress was very friendly. She did a good job handling a larger group. I’m not sure if they need more cooks in the kitchen, but it took a really long time for us to receive our food. My food ended up arriving after everyone was pretty much done eating. I’ll probably check out the other location in Santa Clara.

Stopped in on a Monday night for a beer. Not too busy on a Monday night. Great, friendly greeting from the bartender. Really made us feel welcome and that he was glad to serve us. Decent selection of beers, 7 or 8 beers on tap. This was our second visit. Our first visit was on a Saturday for lunch. Again not very busy since there’s a lot of dining options in the area. Our server Autumn was efficient. The food is ok, nothing over the top. We’ll visit again.

Excellent Dessert! Dined-in at Bennigan’s last month for dinner & thankfully, had a decent experience all in all. The Hubby and Me always wanted to try this out just for the sports bar setting inside. Those countless TV’s mounted in every possible highly visible areas of the restaurant did provide us an impressive & relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to our attendant, Azure. I must say we were fortunate to end up getting her service, as she was friendly, helpful with good menu selection suggestions and on top of that served us attentively despite being equally busy serving couple other tables. The restaurant was seen relaxed and reasonably occupied the other night. May be it was a weekday night and that’s why. Also, this could’ve been an added reason for us to gain a better service?!? Must-be-true! Our Order: # Gar-Lucky Arugula Burger($ 14) with Wheat Bun & extra crock of soup($ 3) — This is one of their Newly introduced Gourmet Burgers and generally comes with their Homestyle Sea Salted French Fries. We customized this into a complete Vegetarian dish by substituting a Veg Patty instead of bacon. Well, the Patty was fresh and tasty. Burger buns, the veggie sides and the fries tasted Y-U-M altogether. We had their Crock French Onion soup added along with Arugula Burger based on Unilocaler’s recommendations here. It was definitely a Great & Agreeable choice of side! # Signature Drinks, Celtic Hurricane($ 10) & Shamrockin’ Sangria($ 10) — Of the two, Celtic Hurricane was the Better and the Best mainly because of the sweet and sour mixture of grenadine, lemon, orange and pineapple. Sangria was more on the bitter side because of the strong raspberry touch!(Our attendant was right about the strong flavor, she did inform us before) #Dessert, Housemade Bread Pudding with Praline Sauce($ 8) — Here comes their Legit! We were looking for something that is not too sweet and our attendant came up suggesting this particular dessert, which is a great recommendation for sure. This homemade bread pudding is drenched in Hot praline sauce topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream then sprayed with powdered sugar just makes every bite melt in your mouth easily. Always a fan of any dessert that goes well with the Hot & Cold combo. I’ll come back just to have this again! Totally worth the price! The choice of items we chose turned out to be pricey overall, but the food & drinks were Delicious & the dessert was Top-of-the-World!

All reviews regarding the poor service are true. I give credit to the waitress who so kindly filled our drinks for us when I asked her. I didn’t catch her name. So in general the staff should know the sequence of how food should come out. Our appetizer literally came at the same time as our entrée. Our server forgot my kids desserts. He never came to check how everything was going. The food is average nothing special. For a full service bar their alcohol selective is bare. Staff here I mean all staff including hostess should be more attentive to guest and fill drink glasses. I wouldn’t come back here for awhile. I feel the staff need more training and to gain more experience before I ever attempt to come back to dine here. Redemption stars. My second visit here I felt that our first visit was poor because we were seated in the high bar tables and not the regular tables. Our waitress was much better than our first experience. I only ordered the sample this time and the egg rolls with the sauce was very good.

Very cool place with a great environment. Food selection is great and the drink has a lot of seletion. We tried 3 of their specialty drinks and all 3 were very good. Staff is great, our server was kind of cracking jokes here and there which is always good. Its a great place for everyone to come enjoy. Bar setup is great with tvs all around. Outside patio area is small, but nice spot for those hotter days. Overall service was great and I will definitely come back again.

I’m going to start with the Positives. The place has recently opened. I remember seeing a lot of people at, what I believe was orientation. I’m not sure what happened but on Valentine’s Day there was not a lot of staff. Where did all the people go? ? The positives… they have a broccoli and cheese appetizer that is delicious. It’s rolled into balls with bacon and deep fried. So good. They also have egg rolls that resemble the South West egg rolls. Those we’re very good too. The garden salad was fresh and had a nice variety of veggies. The baked potato soup, hearty and tasted good. The place is clean and spacious. Nice flow. Welcoming bar area. Positives. Done. The service is extremely slow. Not very slow. Extremely. The host and hostess both seemed really unsure of themselves. The host left to bus tables. I know their job is to help where needed but suddenly he was no longer hosting. He was 100% cleaning off tables. They have no bussers, no one who cleans off the tables. The seating took forever. On a busy night, where is the staff?? There were many tables left open. We weren’t sure if the hostess was told to wait or what. While there, 2 parties left, one couple didn’t even put their name on the list and one guy canceled his take out order. All this while I was waiting for a table. The waiter who served us was good. He was friendly and pretty efficient. Nothing above and beyond, but good. I think he tag teamed with another guy. We waited a while for the food. I think that’s why they tag teamed. They brought the soup and salad with the main dishes. That’s annoying because you can’t enjoy the courses. The fish and chips were salty and over cooked. I had their«Shepard Pie ». It was ok. This item actually lacked salt. But it was good enough. Oh we were trying to get our waiter’s attention. .this is classic. .the waitress next to him just stared at us. She could have gotten his attention. But I guess not. We were there so long we got sleepy and didn’t order dessert. I’m willing to go back. Maybe in 6 months. Everyone I’ve told agreed the customer service and staffing is lacking at Bennigans. For now. .go to the Santa Clara one. I’m hoping this one improves.

2.5 stars Went there with my coworkers for lunch on a friday. It was not packed and I liked how it was pretty spacious. Bennigan’s serves typical american food. We ordered the big irish burger, full slab of baby back ribs, soup/salad combo and soup/sandwich combo. For soup we got both onion soup and clam chowder. Service was very slow. It took more than 30 minutes for us to get our food even when they are not busy. I was very disappointed with the clam chowder. It wasn’t creamy enough and I felt it just didn’t taste right. Onion soup was better, salad was alright. The baby back ribs was actually pretty good, very tender and juicy. I did not get to try the big irish burger so no comment on it. Overall it was alright. It’s gonna be hard for us to go lunch there during work day if the wait for food takes that long. I don’t think I will go back for a while.
