Went here for dinner and drinks with a couple of friends. My friend asked for a Budweiser at least 5 times before he actually got one. The crab cakes and calamari weren’t terrible. But then i ordered a chicken, prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich. Let’s just say the only thing on the plate that was good was probably the tomato. The bartender never checked on us once to ask how the food was or if we needed another drink. We asked for the check and if he could wrap my friend’s food. We received the check and paid but he didn’t wrap her food. After we paid he walked away to the other end of the bar. Our bill was over $ 100 and not worth a cent of it. Service was terrible, the food was mediocre, and the place is highly overpriced. I do not recommend to anyway.

It was a good place to start the night. The bartenders were all cool and attentive. It’s a nice little place to hang out by the bar. We got chicken fingers which were pretty good. The one thing I’ll say is that the drinks are over priced and jokingly non-strong. Literally drinking margarita mix. Could’ve sent it back, but whatever. Pacing all the drinks was probably in our favor. Fish bowls were pricey and I wouldn’t say worth it. It’s more or less the hype of it. Too be honest, next time I’m in Freeport I think I’ll skip this one and start somewhere else. Writing this review made me realize I didn’t like it too much. Oops.

Just stopped by to have a drink. Drinks were amazing! View was awesome. Sat at the bar and enjoyed the breeze coming off the water. DJ was ok. Music wasn’t too loud and he played a variety. Will definitely be back.

Didn’t have food here, just hung out for drinks and to listen to music. There were tables by the water at the bar, which was cool as an option other than sitting at the bar. The music was a little off — songs would repeat twice in a row?

No wait at all. Only place on the Nautical Mile that was empty for a Sunday Funday. I wonder why? I can tell you why, creepy DJ, bad service and really bad food. It took over 20 min to order a drink. When the drink came it looked like something at an underage club. The french onion soup was… Can’t even explain what it was. So baddd!!! Don’t get tricked. Don’t stop here.

I ate at The Tides tonight after a fishing trip. We ordered a few things, including a $ 17.00 lobster roll. The lobster roll arrived, and I immediately noticed that it was comprised of mostly imitation crab. I mean 95% of it was imitation crab. I am absolutely sure of this, because I’m able to tell the difference between lobster, and chunks of imitation crab! I asked the waiter, who assured me the kitchen said it was lobster… BUT also said the roll«is made across the street at our other restaurant so I’m not sure». The waiter, a nice kid, was not concerned enough to ask a manager, or show them my roll. Anyway, I took pictures that clearly show it isn’t lobster. Interestingly, we noticed«rounding» on the bill. It was only .36 cents, but what the hell is rounding about???

This was my second visit to The Tides and this spot was the only cool one on the Mile this past festival weekend 5th and 6th June 2015. It’s always quiet amid all the chaos. I like that you can sit around the bar or chill in the open, under the stars at night right next to the water. I think they serve food but I only had regular cider which was reasonably priced. It’s a cool spot to hang with a group of friends or a date. I’ll always have mad love for this spot because I once had a really nice date here, I thought I was in love but that’s another story. The End.

Service was awful– slow and they didn’t seem to care. Waited at least 15 minutes for each drink, up to 45 minutes for the food and over 30 for the check! Probably short staffed but still really unacceptable

They should take advantage of this beautiful location– I mean a bar right on the water! Ample table seating, with water views, good service but food left a lot to be desired. Overpriced baked clams that were frozen and still raw, over fried calamari, and mediocre frozen coconut shrimp… Drinks like other reviewers said were definitely overpriced.

Where to begin… The food/seafood selection was minimal, especially for a place in an area known for seafood. Since the food selection was minimal, one would expect they would be an expert at the few items that they served. Well, let’s just say that the food was VERY forgettable and is best that it is.(–1 star) My drink was severely watered down! It was a simple vodka with lemonade, how do you mess that up?(–1 star) The wait staff was very nice when she was present, however, I needed her presence a little more than it was available.(–1 star) The price is rather obsurd for what you get.(–1 star)

This was my first experience of Nautical Mile. We went to this place because it was convenient and the bar wasn’t packed with people. I should have known better when there was no traditional dinning area, but he i’m adventurous. So we ordered the lobster bisque, mussels in white wine sauce, steak tidbits, and crab cake platter. firstly the bisque is what it should have been called since it had no lobster visible to the eye, maybe a very small piece, the mussels came in a huge bowl and looked liked the sauce was an after thought not apart of the recipe. The crab cakes had no crab and a potato salad that made my tongue feel like i had licked a 9 volt battery, when i asked the waitress she didn’t know anything about the recipe and went to ask the cooks and she didnt come back with an answer… the best part of the meal were the steak tidbits, for meat on bread covered in cheese that is. I will not be going back to this place unless i want to drink out a fish bowl i guess…

My experience at the tydes was frustrating at fisrt. The three stars is for their food which my friend and I enjoyed very much after the poor service received. After waiting for maybe 30 minutes we decided to leave to find another place to eat around the mile but after not finding another satisfying option(meaning non seafood menu) we decided to come back again to the tydes(their menu was the most diverse). After I complained about our first visit they apologized and took us in right away. Rocky beginning with a good ending just hope this doesn’t happen again. Food was great their staff just has to be more attentive.

Headed to Freeport one afternoon for Sunday Funday and a banner for«Famous Fishbowls» lured us in. Upon ordering we found that they don’t have ingredients for 2 of the 5 on the menu. Champagne was listed as being in the Blue and Peach fishbowls and apparently there«is no champagne outside.» Ideally one would assume the bartender would go inside and get what they needed but this was not an option. After adjusting our order a bit and receiving our fishbowls they were pretty awful. We also ordered food(this was after 10 minutes of waiting at an empty bar where the bartender clearly saw us). The order wasn’t put in for at least 15 minutes after ordering since the bartender came back over asking if we wanted boneless or regular wings. The food was«edible» but I wouldn’t recommend the wings nor would I order them again. Other fun things that made the experience less than pleasurable: Watched a guy open the containers with strawberry daiquiri and piña colada mix annnnd then proceed to stick his fingers inside the container during the opening process. Watched the bartender take my empty fishbowl, rinse it out with cold water 3 times in the sink behind the bar(no soap) and then proceed to make one for another customer in it. It was the bartender’s first day so I’m sure many of the issue’s were not her fault because she clearly was not trained at all. I felt like I was watching an episode of Bar Rescue. The poor girl seemed totally overwhelmed like no one told here anything about procedure or where anything was.

Was very upset with this spot, the 2 stars are for ambiance and outdoor seating on the water! The food is Mediocre and to be honest 3 appetizers and 4 piña coladas shouldn’t come out to $ 90, the drinks were weak! The baked clams were FROZEN not fresh! The coconut shrimp was ok and the quesadilla was 10 – 11 dollars and in a normal bar or spot it a plate like that word cost 6 – 8 dollars! Walking out of there knowing we paid $ 90 for 4 crappy drinks and below par appetizers left is feeling robbed ! I’ve ate at numerous places where FRESHSEAFOOD is suppose to be served and lemme tell you I have had a 3 course meal else where for $ 20 more we got better food and MORE! Simply a disgrace and the owner needs to REVALUATEHISMENU! Or get some help from chef Ramsey on kitchen nightmares!
