Broke my Silhouette rimless glasses on a Saturday night. Can“t see without them. What a bind to be in on a weeken! Called Cohens Optical and brought them in. Fixed in a jiffy! What nice people and what great service. Would recommend them highly.

Had never been to this location before, but when I found out they accepted my coverage, I had to give them a shot. I just needed to fill prescriptions for myself and my son. I know the insurance determines what they will pay for and what they wont, but the selection I had was abysmal. The other selection of designer frames was priced in the stratosphere. Didn’t have much interaction with the guy that I left my prescription with, but when I stopped in again 2 days later to drop off my son’s prescription, the guy I dealt with was very helpful and courteous. My glasses were ready in 2 days! Pretty good. Other than what seem to be very high prices on the designer frames. I have no complaints here. They did what i wanted and they did it quickly.

On par for what would be expected. Eye exam and contacts are standard fare for me here. Unsure why I always need to request a small bottle of complimentary cleaning solution when I’m spending over $ 200.(I use then when going through airport security). They get the samples for free and the bald guy who works there acts like I’m taking food from him. Try to with with Lori if you go in… she’s definitely the best; very friendly and accommodating.

The staff here is the rudest I have ever experienced. Not only did the doctor mess up my prescription, but they outright lied to another provider when they asked to transfer my chart. They said my prescription was expired, even though it had only been a couple of months. It’s bad enough that they’re significantly more expensive than most other providers, but they do a poor job medically and professionally.

Was a loyal customer at freehold location for years. Must have spent thousands on myself, husband and growing daughter(who would lose and/or break often) customer service was great while I was spending $$$$. At one point when I began paying closer attention to my spending, I disputed a charge that I was unaware of for my daughter. an extra amount on an exam that I felt I was tricked into. An actual argument ensued!!! I was so mortified. I had been spending 2 – 600 per glasses for the past 5 years and had such poor treatment that day! Even if it was a misunderstanding the treatment was uncalled for, and the doctor did ASK if I would give permission for that extra part of the exam… I thought I was just giving consent since my daughter is 12. No one mentioned the cost. It was minor. but it was the principle. And the treatment after. Well, needless to say. that day I was about to drop another $ 700 on glasses, a new prescription for my daughter, as well as a pair for myself. I left with her prescription and never returned. Attention families with children!!! Go to WALMART or COTSCO. I got my daughter some really cool trendy glasses(I’m a fashionista type of girl and so is she believe me they look great) the frames were like $ 20, yes, I said $ 20(I thought it was a mistake and the frames were $ 200) with the lenses even being treated and frame my total for her was $ 69 dollars. They are fine, no issues, and if she did lose them the damage would be much less. Cohens should be ashamed at what they charge and really be kinder to repeat clients. waiving a $ 40 charge would’ve netted a $ 700 sale. Just dumb.

Customer service here sucks! The staff that works here act as if they’re above you. Why the hell are you working there if you are above us? My daughter went there to buy her glasses. We were told it would take 3 – 5 days before we could get it back. I called on the fifth day and was told that it’s waiting for the guy to install the lens into the frame. I got a little antsy because we were going on vacation that afternoon. I called them up to see if they could speed it up because we were going to be out of town for a week and my daughter’s vision was blurry. I told them that I would need it in 2 hrs and asked them if they could do it. They said that they’ll try. I called 2 hrs later and was told that it’s not ready and that there were others ahead of me. Guess when they called me back to let me know when it’s ready ahead? 3 hours after! I was halfway to my vacation destination already and couldn’t turn back. My daughter was complaining that her eyesight was blurry. I told my daughter that it will have to be Lens Crafters next time or to another Cohen location. This is not the first time I got lousy customer service there. I thought customer was always right. I guess that’s not so in this case. For that i would love to give 0 stars. But i am not able to. Can only give 1 star.
