A few years ago I went to Millennium in Freehold but changed ophthalmologists because of the terrible customer service provided by the phone and front office personnel. They are just plain rude. My elderly parents still go here because they’ve had many eye issues and diseases. I’ve had so many incidents of incompetence and rude behavior on the part of the the support personnel. Just tonight while accompanying my almost blind and deaf father to his appointment(he also suffers from severe depression) a tech named Alicia did not want me to join my 85 year old father while he was undergoing a few eye tests she was administering. She told me to stay in the main waiting room(which I refused) then she told me to sit outside the testing room. After my father entered the small room with her(I always stand outside in the hallway) she slammed the door so I could’t see the testing. To top it off after my father was finished and we went back to the main waiting room, she comes back out and tells my father the computer did not save the results so he will have to be retested. She should be ashamed at her behavior. Also the phone appointment women are so unprofessional, they talk about the patients to each other in very negative terms. Finally, the women who checks you out after the appointment was definitely not hired for her warm and friendly personality. All in all take your vision care elsewhere

We had the worst experience at this place. My daughter made an appointment to see a doctor at freehold location. When we arrived there and signed in we were completely ignored for half an hour. When I asked the receptionist what’s going on, I was told that there is no appointment scheduled for her. The office manager searched through the system, and found that the appointment that was scheduled this morning was actually scheduled for YESTERDAY! Consequently, we found out that her doctor is not even scheduled to work today, and another so called MD, BROTTMAN, felt«uncomfortable» seeing his fellow Doctor’s patient. My daughter suffers from blurred vision and headache, and this«fine» establishment refused to help. The staff is incompetent, unaccommodating and downright nasty. I wish people know that so that they won’t be treated as we were at the time of need. If I could give it 0 stars, I definitely would!

Truly depends on the optometrists. I had Dr. K. He wasn’t the most caring. If he wanted you to move forward, he tells you as he pulls you more forward. He tells you the drops are going to burn so I started to cringe. It wasn’t as bad as he made it out to be. He’d tell you to read the chart but he’s in the way. I told him so and the man got annoyed at me. After he put the drops to dilate my eyes, instead of allowing me to stay in the room, he tells me to just go out to the waiting area. Doesn’t escort me or anything. As I found the waiting area, I noticed other patients were escorted by assistants to that area. His assistant had an attitude and was no where to be seen again until she called for me to come back into the room. I’ve been there before and both the other optometrist(Dr. Longo) and her assistant were a lot nicer and definitely more caring. Just one bad dr and assistant can taint your experience. Will go back and try another dr. I wish Dr. Longo was still practicing with them. :(

Excellent care here. One of the docs, Dr. Lee, did a wonderful job with my eye exam and field test. He was very compassionate during my encounter!

Three of my family use the Doctors here at the Freehold office of Millennium Eye Care and all have been satisfied with their exams. My young son is nervous about eye drops, his doctor is very patient and talks him through the process. Just as important as the doctors are the front office staff, here’s where many offices fail however the Freehold Millennium has a group of professionals who are courteous, friendly and helpful both when you’re standing in front of them and on the phone. Service like this will keep patients loyal.

I once had an eye exam and had a prescription filled from their 455 Rte 9 South, Englishtown location. They were rude to me when I called in on the phone and have been rude to my family in the past. Take your business elsewhere.
