Big Lots

This store has kind of grown on me since they’ve opened. As with all of these types of stores, the stock changes from time to time. You can usually find good deals on seasonal items. They have a grocery and household section. A secret that not many know, they have a furniture dept in the back. well, it’s not really a secret, but you can find some good deals on a cheap couch or chair.

This is my favorite location by far. Big lots has come a long way in last 10 yrs here in jersey. The amount of things they cram in these stores is amazing, all without feeling claustrophobic in the store. They have great deals on just about anything. Food, non perishables also added refrigerator n freezer sectional, beauty supplies, health and hygiene products, automotive, pet supplies, electronics small stuff, household items, cleaning products, toys, kitchen appliances, awesome deals on furniture, seasonal things for inside and outside your home, bedding and window treatments at a fraction of the price. Don’t forget the gift box section, greeting cards, gift items, little decorations for inside and outside the house, dishes and plates, cookware. it’s endless. I found today a dog harness for my small medium dog expensive brand in other stores $ 10. Big bottle of Tabasco bc we use it like ketchup in my house for 2.50.
Now let’s talk about clearance aisles and items oodles of stuff at can’t be beat prices. I mean some things are a few cents to a little more if you know ur prices but it’s one store and you don’t have to go to 20 stores. It’s nice to actually have a selection and choices on certain items instead of being stuck with one specific brand that u don’t like. They, also have a big buzz rewards card. I know another card but it comes in handy when u use it in the end. Great place must stop in but… bring money bc I guarantee u will find something there, but also things change weekly. So if u see it there one week it might not be there the next.

The Ocean N.J. store needs an employee training program. Worst of all theiy raise the prices up $ 40 before a sale & then say we’ll give you 20% off with your coupon or rewards card. How sneaky & underhanded can a store be? You’re not rewarding me you’re conning me. That was on the furniture. If you do go check out the prices & then go the next day & see how the prices change. Buyer beware.
