Yak-A-Doo’s At Holiday Inn North

My wife and I stopped by for a drink and a quick bite. We were pleasantly suprised. We tried the vegetable soup which was awesome. The atmosphere was cool, and had friendly service. Good martini.

Other reviewers pretty much nailed it. I used to visit only because I knew members of the band that played on weekends and enjoy listening to live music. The place is small and smoky. It’s divey, but not in that comfortable sense where everybody is just downright friendly.
Typical bar food, basic drinks, nothing special when it comes to wines. Extended happy hour — I think 1:00 to 7:00 and ½ price apps from 5:00 to 7:00. Tables are crammed in fairly tight. There is a small dance floor right in front of the stage. To use the restroom you have to leave the lounge and go around the corner into the hotel lobby.
I will say I never had any issues with servers or bartenders and always received good service here. A generous three stars because it’s got to be the only bar in the area and they support live music.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn express there. What a dump that Yak a doo’s is. The place stunk like smoke and the bartender was a female that took out her false teeth and rinsed them in the sink under the bar. Disgusting! !!

Small, Smokey and packed with tables. Service started out great, but went from bad to worst soon as place was packed. Band was good, dance floor was small and somewhat dangerous due to band putting the monitor equipment were we had to dance. People there were definetly as described by other reviews here. If I really had to go out, yeah would go back. But instead will look for a better venue.

I’d rather stay home.

Its a bar that serves food. Happy hour 11am-​8pm with $ 2.75 rail drinks. Dont expect much but a smokey atmosphere, maybe some karaōke and cheap booze.

This place serves as a swingers meet and greet once a month. That’s the o ly good thing here.

A Hillbilly heaven in Fredericksburg. You know, this area serves a lot of special interest groups and you’d think someone would invest in a more diverse entertainment area!

I like hotel bars. After a long day of work when I’m on the road, I look forward to being able to walk a few short feet to knock back a few beers. This seems to be about the only bar in the area and «the area» is what you get. I think I saw more tats than teeth.
