Sports Authority

It’s that time of year again! Where the secret shoppers are out on the prowl… looking for people SWP (Shopping While Black). Today I was at this location, SWB, and noticed a man cross my way not once or twice, but several times!!! Finally to end up in the clearance section with me looking at women’s shoes. He spots me there and stop to have a look at the women’s shoes. I walked up to the front told the staff that some man is following me. Nothing! I turn around and whisper, ed «him» because the man comes up right behind me and says she thinks I’m following her… huh? Wow what a great way to lose money. I had a pair of shoes in my hand I planned to purchase, not steal, and then put it right back after this. I went and bought the same pair from a competitors. I will not spend my hard earned money at a store that hires folks to follow me around thinking I’m in the store to steal. I’m black and they felt I stood a higher chance to steal. He was relentless too… followed me the entire time! No thanks! and Goodbye! Blacks, Latinos, Asians, Muslims, Indians… etc don’t do it! Shop elsewhere!

An overall good store with a variety of clothes to choose from, but could work on organizing the store more and knowing where things are.

They have lots of selection here, better than Dicks on selection and prices. Lots of clothing as well as sports gear and fitness equipment. The staff is really helpful here too. Located in Central Park next to the Petsmart it’s kind of quiet and the exterior seems a little run down but I always prefer to do my sports and fitness shopping here because of the great selection and helpful/​friendly staff.

They have a great staff. Anytime I have visited I was greeted and helped with anything I needed. During the last visit I was shopping for and comparing several items. The employee helped my boyfriend and I with any questions we had. They are very friendly. That’s why I continue to shop at this location.
