We get commercials in NoVA for Sonic even though the closest(2 — count em, they have 2 while we have none) one(s) are in Fredricksburg. Nonetheless, we always try to stop at one of the two anytime we’re headed in that direction. We were returning from the Madison-Greene county area back towards DC, so this on on rt 3 was convenient. Sonic is delicious as always. Service was a little slower than usual, though it could’ve been because of the rain.

It’s fast food so… Fun environment, great hot dogs, and shakes. Usually pretty busy so patience may be needed.

By far the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. I have worked in the food industry for 7 years and have never been treated so disrespectfully by a MANAGER. We waited 30 minutes for a correction to be made on a drink and only to find out we would be lectured by the manager. I will never return to this location and erge anyone else who finds customer service important to skip this trip.

Solid food. I love the coney dogs. Where else can you get loaded footlongs with loaded tater tots? And you can enjoy it in your car in the shade. I’ve taken plenty of siestas here!

Usually not too bad. Typical Friday night, bunch of cars in the drive thru and quite a few waiting for window service. I was pretty peeved, however, that it took 15 minutes to get the 2 drinks I ordered, and they weren’t even complicated. A Dr. Pepper and a watermelon slush. On top of that, the card reader is jacked so my standard card wouldn’t fit. Seemed like the manager brought out my drinks with no apology for the wait and acted like I inconvenienced him because he had to swipe my card. As someone who has been going to Sonics my whole life, this one seriously leaves much to be desired.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS, I am a huge fan of Sonic!!! We came here for a late-night munchies stop and I was SOECSTATIC to see Kevin Durant’s special slushes on the menu(!!!)(they didn’t have the limited time ‘High Flyer Slush’ as it was available for 1 day(5⁄11)) — however, these would suffice! YIPPEE! Durant has 2 flavors available: ‘The All-Star,’ which was the blue raspberry with Nerds, and ‘The Game Changer,’ which was the Lemonberry with Nerds. I tried both, and I really liked the All-Star — I WANTEDTOSWIMINIT(just a note: it changes the color of your tongue to blue) :P It was refreshing with a lot of flavor, and it had an ample amount of Nerd candies throughout: D Also, just know that you can order any flavored slush and add the Nerd candies within — I just happened to stick with Kevin Durant’s specials: D We ordered other goodies as well, and the staff here were courteous, patient, efficient, and oh-so-lovely. The place was happening, with a ridiculously long line at the drive-thru, even at about half an hour before closing. It is kind of a trek, but it’s all gooooooood, because Sonic’s is worth it: P +Kevin Durant slushes — ‘The All-Star’ with Nerd candy: O +can add Nerds to any flavored slushes +friendly staff: D

Sonic is a throw back to the days of the car hop. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but if you like sloppy hamburgers, I do on occasion they carry the torch. Don’t like to eat them in my car. Outside dining is the only alternative or carry out. I’m usually ready to eat by the time I get to a place so I don’t go as often. Too many menu choices and a freakish amount of beverage choices. Staff is cool

Needed food. Good strawberry limeade, but probably never getting any of the fried varieties of foods here anymore. Stick to their burgers.

We don’t have one in my area, so I drive 45 minutes to this place anytime I crave good fast food. I feel like their whole menu is delicious. The tator tots, the mozzarella sticks, the coonies, the french toasts, the sundaes the drinks… absolutely amazing.

I love that there is not much to screw up at Sonic… especially since you provide your own ambience in your car. This Sonic had a courteous person taking the orders and serving. The food came out plenty hot and was tasty. Good place to go for fast food. Was disappointed our server wasn’t on skates and the cheese was a little over melted on the tots(it was almost transparent). Overall I had a good experience.

People are really hard to please according to these reviews… I dont get it. Sonics are amazing. I use to live across the street from one in Texas but now I have to drive 45 minutes whenever I’m craving a route 44 cherry limeade. Customer service was great. They brought my limeade in rollerblades and the workers were very polite. You can order 3 different ways. Drivethrough, drive in, or at the outside tables. The restrooms were very clean and overall I had a great experience. The cherry limeade was obviously amazing. Please open one in Lorton Virginia!!! I LOVEYOUSONICS and your commercials are hilarious.

This review has nothing to do with food quality. I just wanted to leave a positive review about the quality and speed of service. My carhop Mike brought me my food maybe 2 minutes after ordering and he was very polite. I have had bad sonic experiences before so I know service can vary. But this time I was pleasantly surprised.

Dear Sonic Gods… please, please, please build a Sonic in Northern Virginia so I don’t have to drive two hours round-trip when I absolutely MUST have a diet cherry limeade! — Love, Jodi, the self proclaimed Sonic aficionado. Oh Sonic, how much I love you, which is why I am going to tolerate the 16 minutes it took me to get my diet cherry limeade Friday night. First, I didn’t realize Sonic closed at midnight. Really, what fast food joint closes at midnight these days, but anyway??? I pulled up at 11:48pm. There was a very large truck in front of me with a likewise very large man ordering everything on the menu.(I’m being totally serious too.) When it was my turn I ordered my drink and a corn dog.(I’m high class, what can I say?) The big guy was still in the window when one of the workers popped out of the little door, took my money, handed me my dog, and ran back in for my change. He came back out, handed me my change, I asked him for my drink and he said«oh, you have to get that at the window». Well okay then. A few moments later… big guy drives off… I pull up and BOOM… all the lights go out. The parking lot goes black. A girl pokes her head out the window and asks what I need, umm… a diet cherry limeade. She says«oh yeah, hang on» Few more minutes go by… a guy pokes his head out the window… «We’re closed… «, well yeah, I know that. «I’m just waiting for my Limeade»… «Oh yeah», and off he goes again. This happens again… for the third time. This is all going on while I am watching the staff hug, and dance, and laugh… and while I am thrilled they all love their job so much, I just wanted to get my drink, and do home. I finally got my limeade and all was right in the world… but 16 minutes… really?

I love sonic. It sucks that they don’t have one in Woodbridge. This is the location we usually stop at simply because its so close to my grandparents house. I would say that I either have a good experience here or a bad one. The bad ones are usually due to long waits or the food not up to par. Sometimes it’s both. The employees are usually nice but they do ask a lot of questions. I know it’s not their fault. The good experiences are when the wait is short and the food is amazing. If you always drive by and wonder but never stop, give it a try. They are very expensive though so if your short on cash then keep rolling.

Pass on this one and go to the Sonic a little further down I-95S! The difference in the food and service are night and day. Also, you don’t have to drive to the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains to get there(I had NO idea it was so far off the beaten path)!!!

America’s drive-in got me through studying for the bar last summer in Atlanta, GA. So, Sonic will always have a soft spot in my heart, and unfortunately is still showing a bit of a soft spot on my waistline! Anyways, I’ve been coming to this location for a few years now on my way to visit the fam. The service was usually awful, and I don’t know where they misplaced the recipe for their onion rings. However, on one occasion where the high school worker sighed like I was wasting her time when ordering for four people, got angry when I asked her to repeat the order back to me, and still messed my order up– I had had enough. I complained to corporate expecting nothing to come of it. Well, the manager called me a couple weeks later, and was very apologetic. He said they’ve been having problems with the teenagers not wanting to work, as this is just their summer job. Hey, we’ve all been there, and hopefully progressed onward. I worked fast food in high school, and was a hostess/server in undergrad right before law school. Doesn’t mean I ever had the right to treat the customers like ****. Not only did they comp my family’s meal the next time we ordered, they sent me a postcard in the mail for another free entrée, and sadly let that young girl go to further gain some maturity. I still go there on the way to visit my family, and the customer service has gotten better. Just don’t order the onion rings! p. s.–They took the salads off the menu. That is a bit disappointing to America’s obesity epidemic. I travel a lot, and sometimes have to rely on fast food options. I don’t always want grilled chicken. Offer up some greens(salad people!) man!

No complaints here as I LOVESONIC! I repeat… I LOVESONIC! Growing up in the Sooner state, I’ve been accustomed to chowing down on a Sonic burger with mayo, tater tots, and a cherry limeade. Since I was in the area it was only natural to order the above and scarf it down with quickness and delight! In fact, I ordered another burger afterward but took my time eating. Service was like any other Sonic experience I’ve had… fast, accurate, and friendly. I can’t wait till my next visit to F’burg which will of course include SONIC !

Drive in fast food — I get it. However, that doesn’t mean the food has to suck. I want to like sonic, but I can’t finish the greaseball frozen meat patty of a burger. Hot dogs are so-so … Definitely nothing to write home about. Haven’t tried the chicken for fear of being disappointed. The service was surprisingly quick and the people were friendly. Unfortunately that doesn’t make up for an underwhelming product.

The service was slow and the food was bad. Nothing else need be said. Two stars instead of one because the location is nice, though miles off of 95. And a sincere apology to my travelling companions for making them detour all that way for this mess! Next KD road trip we will stop at Steak n Shakes.
