Salem Church Library

nice library, decent selection, lots of computer stations, lots of chairs/​desks/​couches available for reading, meeting rooms available, children’s section off to the side with a private play room and reading area for kids, friendly staff.
lots of staff working friday morning, all seemed friendly and helpful (i interacted with four of them during my visit).
it’s not a large library, but it’s a decent size for the neighborhood. signing up for a library card is fairly easy — just bring something with your name and current address (for fredericksburg, spotsylvania, westmorland, stafford) — choose either wallet size or key chain size card, sign and you’re done.
books for sale in the front (i’m not sure if this is on-​going — or a special event).
