After 11 yrs of driving by, we tried it for Valentines Day and realized that the atmosphere was nice but the food was probably the worst in Fredericksburg.. Let’s start off with a drink was $ 11.95, my wife had a filet mignon, for $ 35 it was flavorless meat on a grill, I had the 9 oz Delmonico with two pieces of shrimp. The flavorless shoe leather steak wax less then ¼ inch think for $ 31. With no other drinks and No desert, for $ 115, instead of enhancing my Valentines it was a huge disappointment.

Has been my go-to spot for any special occasion since I was kid. The food is definitely pricey, but in my opinion worth it. Most people I think probably go for the steaks, but I have tried many-a fried shrimp in my life, and rarely will I actually order it at a restaurant, but they definitely have the best I have ever had. Lobster tail is also amazing as well. The owner is also really sweet and usually does her best to stop by your table to make sure you’re satisfied with your meal. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone, just be prepared to spend some $$$

We have driven past here so many times. It does not look like much from the outside but WOW inside! It’s huge! A big beautiful bar, super friendly and professional staff. White table clothes! We love sitting and eating at the bar most places we go. So we sat at the bar and Jeff quickly took our drink orders. We asked if we could stay there and eat and he explained that as much as he would love for us to that on Saturday nights they do not allow it because they«want you to have an amazing dinning experience» and Saturday being so busy he felt like he would not be as attentive. We picked a table but a few minutes later he came back and said the owner told him it was fine for us to stay ad eat at the bar~ We started off with a Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail & my husband had the 3 stuffed oysters(he loved them) The shrimp was cooked to perfection~ We got the 9oz Filet & Stuffed Shrimp for dinner. I was full from the shrimp cocktail so I just had 1 stuffed shrimp and a bite of steak off of my husbands plate~ it was all delicious!! We look forward to going back often!

I have driven by this place a thousand times and I had no idea that Fburg had such a good restaurant. I went here for my dad’s 80th and it was fantastic. We had the Filet and Stuffed Shrimp (9 oz. Filet and 2 Jumbo Shrimp with Crabmeat). Fantastic. The steak was cooked to perfection and the service was excellent. No complaints. The restaurant is old school steakhouse-esque. It’s dark and large. The owner came to our table and asked how everything was, a nice touch. Since Claybourns closed, I had not found a good go to for birthdays, graduations, divorce celebrations. I highly recommend.

Anybody who says anything bad about this restaurant has NO idea what good food is! We have eaten at the finest restaurants in the DC area and always end up back at Olde Towne! We have three generations eating at Old Towne. The owners are wonderful people and the wait staff is at the of list!

This a traditional steakhouse atmosphere. They also have seafood but I had the prime rib. Delicious! It was cooked to perfection and service was good. I will return.

Only a few selections on the menu and it’s overpriced! We had the crab cake which was pretty good, just very small. For the main dishes we ordered their Prime Rib and Grilled Salmon, both were just ok, no real flavor on either dish and the side dish options were french-fries or a baked potato both which were just bland! The service was quite slow also, which was crazy because the restaurant was not busy or crowded. Save your money!

Giving one start because that is the least I can give. The food was not good and extremely expensive!!! A kids chicken nuggets and fries was $ 17.00. Our steak and seafood was $ 38.00 and it was the worse steak I’ve ever had! Save your money, Bonefish is way better!

5 stars because the food was great, the drinks were great, dessert was outstanding and dinner in front of the fireplace was priceless. The server made this experience one to remember.

Recently had dinner here with a buddy. The steak was wonderful and the salad was good too. The only weird thing was they had no veggies.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary the other night and the ambiance is gorgeous! Love the dim lighting and dark wood and gorgeous bar! Service was good and the prime rib is to die for! The filet however is very very very bland. Stuffed mushrooms were delicious! Worth a go just stick to prime rib or seafood!

We both had the prime rib it was big & good– only issue is I had mine blackened & it was burned– sent it back & the next one was great the bread and sides were as well. Service was great & the new side of the place is beautiful. We will be back.

This place is perfection. I ordered the prime rib which was perfectly cooked just to my order. Their raw oysters were excellent and fresh. If you want to spend some extra dollars and treat your self, I highly recommend this place!

This place is amazing. I personal love it. I used to work there but I also used to go there with my husband. Now living in California I really miss this place. One of the best aged beef. I haven’t found one here in San Jose that match their tasty and juicy prime rib. Not the even Forbes Mill steak house Thats is way more expensive made better steak than this place.

My friends, fiancé, and I went her for my bday dinner. Despite the rave reviews I had heard all week prior to my bday dinner, I would have to disagree. OTSS to me was just ok. It was very average. It was spacious as far as where everyone sat but the food did not live up to the raves. It was bland and didn’t have much flavor. The food was very fresh but lacked in flavor. I had the Old Towne Salmon and my fiancé had steak and baked potato. My dish consisted of salmon topped with crab, shrimp and béarnaise sauce. My fiancé said his steak did not have much seasoning and was a little bland. It was good for the experience to say we had been but it wasn’t worth the $ 93 my fiancé spent for the both of us on dinner. We have had better seafood and steak, so I doubt we would come back unless someone had a special occasion and invited us.

Be prepared and bring your appetite, this place isn’t for the faint at heart or someone on a diet. From beginning to end you will not be disappointed– if meat is what you seek, meat is what you will find. My only complaint– they removed the bone from my prime rib so that I would not have to struggle with it… they promised that the next time I return I’ll have the bone in my prime rib! Service was excellent.

The food saves this place Pros: prime rib and baked potato hot and tasty Cons: manager need to smile, waiter needs to understand what glass red wine should be served in, bus boys needs to fill a water glass, manager needs to sit waiters’ tables contiguous for efficiency Overall: a little pricy for quality of service

Crab soup was gray and just about in edible with some strange herb taste taking over. And I love every variation of crab soup. This was tough to even get 3 bites down. My colleagues steak looked beautiful and he said it was amazing. Bakes stuffed shrimp was tasty but a smallish portion and nothing to write home about. Inexcusable that the only sides are French fries and baked potato. And no bacon or chives available for the potato. Just butter and sour cream. They need to add a vegetable or two. Sautéed spinach and asparagus take a minute and no skill to make really well. Fireplace is cozy.

Excellent! Mike was our server and was marvelous. He times our food perfectly and attended to our every whim. He was personable and charming. We will ask for him by name at our return! The food was devine. The oysyers were plump and not at all gritty. Our entrees came out piping hot from the kitchen. Both the crab Norfolk and the mahi fresh catch were exquisite! Only minor complaint the bread was meh. Honestly though that made it easier to leave room for what was important.
