Much appreciated boutique amongst the seemingly endless amount of vintage and consignment shops in Fredericksburg. Good selection of classic American designers such as Tory Burch, Jack Rogers and Lilly Pulitzer. Sizing is limited, and so is quantity — they will only have two or three of a particular style. Prices are pricey, but if you’re buying Tory, you’ve got a good idea of what you’re going to expect to pay, anyway.
I purchased my first Lily here, and was rewarded with a complimentary ceramic travel coffee mug, in a classic Lily design of colorful corals and crustacean.
Overall, this store has curated a beautiful selection of well known and up and coming lines that adhere to the standards of well made, well tailored American clothing. A must go if you’re into classic prep, whether you’re a nor’easter or a southern proper. :)

This is really more of a 3.5 review but their staff is so great and the store is so adorable that I erred to the four. Everything is overpriced (obviously — it’s a tiny boutique) and things rarely go on sale, but if you sign up for their emails you can score some pretty great deals. They carry Lilly Pulitzer, Tory Burch, Kate Spade, Jack Rodgers, Hunter boots etc.

Monkee’s offers something that Fredericksburg needs — a higher end clothing store that caters to a wide range of women. This store stocks mid-​priced brands, in what I would describe as southern style (you are in Virginia after all). The clothes and jewelry are beautiful and the sales team here is always super helpful. They also have great and regular sales, in addition to an always full sale rack.
When I was in college here, I made sure to pop into Monkee’s every time I was downtown.

Monkee’s is a shop filled with fabulous clothes, shoes, and accessories! Everyone who works there is helpful and has great fashion sense! I always look forward to visiting Linda and her girls whenever I am traveling near Fredricksburg.

Cute, but overpriced.
A very small range of sizes available… which I get since this is a small boutique, but just something to be aware of, if you’re not a «standard» size. Just as an FYI, I was able to find most of the dresses that I was interested in, in a size 6 (yes, I am finally back down to a 6… if I don’t hit up KBBQ or an AYCE joint first… haha) to give you an idea.

Some high end nice pieces. A lot of Tory Burch, Lilly Pulitzer, Juicy Couture, with some other name brands. A definite go to place if you are looking for some cool stuff.
