Does anyone manage this place? Every time I come here — half the Food Lion staff is outside on a smoke break, near the main entrance to the store. Then they come back into the store after their smoke breaks, and handle the food and produce? How about smoke OUTBACK — waaaaaaaaaaay out back, out of the customer’s view? I shouldn’t have to see you — or smell you — when I shop here.

Food lion is not that bad at all… good size for a supermarket… You basics needs are here… this might be the only supermarket in Virginia that does weekly sales… this place opens till midnight… parking lot is huge… as weird as it seems not that many people shop here… but good for me no lines and fast service… The place has about the same stuff any normal supermarket has… There is no self check out line… the staff is kind and attentive… Does a little small talk and ask if u need help if they see something is troubling you… this might be my second time I ever been to a food lion and both time coming here my experience was never bad at all… So that’s a great… go get the food lion card… Get point and certain deal though out your shopping trips!

Its a Food Lion, and its the closest thing to my house for food so it does the job. Not my first choice overall due to prices and selection however, its close. The staff is normally friendly and in a good mood so that is always helpful. The products in the produce and meat could be updated more or better cuts so to speak.

I preferred this place when it was Bloom, but it’s alright. I usually only go here when I really need something. Sometimes they have a great price on one thing and a really high prices on something else. The staff is really helpful and friendly though. They have a redbox inside. They could use a better selection of organic and natural foods which I buy a lot of and since they don’t have very much I usually make the drive to Wegmans instead. This place is only a couple miles from my house though and so if I forget something or need something last minute this is my first choice since it’s convenient and pretty clean. They stay open to 11pm.

Bloom is an off-shoot of Food Lion, and it’s conveniently located just down the street. I’ve been there maybe 5 times, and just love it. The produce always looks nice and fresh, the aisles are clean, the check-out people are nice. A neighbor told me when we moved here that Bloom was too pricey, and to go to Giant instead. I don’t find that Bloom is very expensive(maybe I am used to shopping at Whole Foods?). There has only been 1 thing so far that I’ve found that they don’t have: slow-cooking grits. But that’s ok, I will still shop there. Bloom has a whole«organic and natural food» section, which has Quorn, Amy’s Tofutti, etc. I love me some Bloom.
