Denny’s

This place is a total dump. They weren’t busy and it still took forever to be seated. Once we were seated, we waited almost 15 minutes for a server to come to our booth and no one ever showed up. I normally wouldn’t wait 15 minutes for a server but I wanted to see if anyone would come over to take our order because I was in such disbelief. We had been there previously about a month before and they were slammed and service was slow and food was bad. We thought we’d give them another chance but that was a wasted effort. We will never go to this dump again. Services is horrible when you can even get any service, all the employees walk around talking and not working, the food is horrible and it’s dirty. Never again!!!

Service 5 stars. Food 4 stars… when available. Management: 1 star. Today I could not order my favorite breakfast dish because «some ingredients are locked up in freezer. «In the last two years this has happened at least 4 other times and today was the last straw. The manager promised me the last time it would never happen again. I’ve emailed Corporate 3 times and never gotten a response. Our weekly group has decided to move on to a restaurant where management takes care of its customers.

Very rude and filthy place! One server told my father and me to sit at the bar and as we sat down another server started yelling at us for being rude and «cutting in front of everyone». After we told her another server seated us she went on to say «You are the rudest customers I’ve ever dealt with you should’ve f*cking waited like everyone else! Whatever you say she said, but you’re liars!» The menu was spilled all over and sticky. The place itself is just dirty!

Waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged at our table, we left and went to Cracker Barrel…

Holy shit, this place is the definition of a dump.
Our pancakes were doughy, the eggs were uncooked Salmonella slime, and the pot roast wasn’t left in the microwave long enough. Somehow half-​assing our meal took their inept kitchen staff over 40 minutes.
To understand how this place is still open, you merely need to look and listen to their patrons. They all had evidently built an immunity to food-​based bacteria and were loudly discussing tazing their kids over a cold trough of uncooked omlette.
The only reason this trashbin deserves one star is because our poor waitress was very nice and tried to make the most of our horrific experience. If that place was burned down in a grease fire, she’s the only person on staff who deserves to escape.

I can’t believe I’m going to say this. We have not been to Denny’s in about 5 years. It was fast, hot, clean. Staff was really nice. And now they have gluten free items? Not fake gluten free but at least some English muffins vs eggs and salad haha.

The last remaining Denny’s needs to just stop. We should have gone to Waffle House or Titos they are better. Our server was very inattentive and looked like she didn’t care. It took a long time for simple meals to come out. While clearing a table she knocked everything on to the floor. We will not return. The reviews say it all. Go somewhere else.

Right when you go in, you can smell a really bad odor. Like a drain of waste… My husband and I stayed because we were hungry and we didn’t want to hop on the car and drive somewhere else.
The service was bad it took a while to order, the waitress was just passing by. It took at least 10 mins to order and then they forgot to give us silverware, we had to wait again for them to bring them to us.
It was bad overall.

Was not very impressed with food. Our coffee cups still had old coffee stains on them. Manager spoke to her staff unprofessionally.

At this moment all I’m missing is some actual pancakes and 29 million…
Denny´s food isn’t all that great… Lots of frozen prepackaged stuff they have to fry… Their main advantage is that they are 24÷7… You just can go there when everything else is closed… It’s never my first choice… when it comes to dinner… but hey why not…
However…when I do go to Denny´s I choose there skillets or pancakes…

Haven’t had Denny’s for years. It’s like how I remember it, okay food. It wasn’t super horrible, but it wasn’t the best I ever had. The service on the hand, was great. The waitress was on top if everything but wasn’t super annoying. Everyone in there seemed happy and enjoying their breakfast

If I could give it 0 stars I would… had to have fasting labs today so was starving after going to Regional Medical Center — started to go to Cracker Barrel but had a brain fart and said «let’s try that Denny’s up on Rt 1» — BIG MISTAKE! …it was NASTY, food on the floor and sticky table was first clue it was a bad idea, the wait service was barely adequate, the coffee wasn’t bad, actually good but that is where it ended: Got the Lumber Jack Grand Slam — ordered it with 3 eggs over easy, got hard scrambled (didn’t send it back because it took 20 mins to get the order to begin with; hash browns were like eating hay, pancakes were rubbery and I did not finish them.
We were seated in the back room next to a couple with a hyper active kid, who promptly dumped his glass of milk on the floor, breaking the glass and splattering us with milk — no apology or even acknowledgement. Took another ten mins before waitress decided to clean it up.
This Denny’s is a real dump — dark, dank and awful service/​food — avoid it like the plague. Denny’s has never been fine dining but they used to offer a decent breakfast and fairly good lunch options — apparently that has all gone down hill.

Came in and sat down tonight in the back and there was one other table near us. a server walks back to where we are and talks to the other table while we wait to be greeted. she turns around and goes back to the kitchen and says no I’m not doing that no I’m not doin that and I watched this
after 10 minutes of her saying that she sent another server to take us. And all the while a few of the employees are being loud and goofing off in the private dining room with their friends including the rude girl server in an orange shirt. and when another employee asked her for help with seating she said «where the fuck is everybody else?» I Was Like wow my kid is back here with you cussing and stuff around us wow. Obviously nobody cares about what these employees do or anything and this is on christmas day. NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS SHITTY PLACE.

Server was kind, attentive. Food was ok… A bit greasy though. Had a grand slam. Very little wait time for food.

Everything about this restruant makes it great. it is in a great location, basically inside a hotel so you don’t even need to get a car to go out. It is affordable, well kept, and the people are very nice.
I plan to eat here every time I stop at this hotel. Thank you.

I kind of can’t believe I’m reviewing a Denny’s, but yet, here I sit.
I haven’t been to a Denny’s in years. Most of my memories involve me in them 15 plus years ago in college, packed into a booth at 3 AM in a room filled with tobacco smoke and a Grand Slam in front of me. It was always greasy, but always open.
That said, on a recent road trip, my toddler was hungry and crying, and Denny’s was right off of 95. In we went.
Seriously, when did Denny’s get so delicious?!?
Maybe it was a good day, or maybe this is just a very good location (which it was, staff and cleanliness wise). But I had one of the best hamburgers that I’ve ever eaten in my life here. Even my husband remarked how good it looked when it was served.
Of course, the little one got nuggets and fries, so she was happy. And we were happy with a well priced lunch that definitely satisfied.

When I was sitting at this Denny’s and trying to check in on the handy-​dandy Unilocal app, I noticed that the reviews for this location were poor, and all of them mentioned that the location was run down. I found this odd because I was sitting in, perhaps, the nicest Denny’s I’d ever been in. And then I realized that I was sitting in something rare … a brand spankin’ new Denny’s.
I love Denny’s. There was a time when I wouldn’t have thought to say that. There was a time where I wouldn’t have dared to say that Denny’s clowns IHOP in comparison. But times change. Denny’s seems to be stepping up their game, believe it or not, and a sign of that is that they replaced one of their run-​down facilities with a brand new establishment.
There’s not much to choose from when you cross over I-​95 coming off of US-​17. Steak and Shake was insanely crowded, so we decided to see what was out this way. We didn’t like the options we found, so Denny’s was a comfortable choice. And we were very happy with our meals. Our server was perhaps the best server I’ve ever gotten at a Denny’s. Their build-​your-​own skillet special is awesome and full of neat add-​on customizations, and my wife was happy with her club sandwich. While we typically look for something a bit more off the beaten path when we eat out, sometimes you just need to fuel up with consistent comfort food. That was the mission we were on that night, and Denny’s hit the spot.
